Grocery shopping was a very love-hate affair for Suhail. Getting food was always great! Food in general was great. There was always the rule of "never go grocery shopping while hungry," and Suhail tended to follow that rule firmly, lest he go home with four different containers of ice cream and no really substantial food to be found. Unfortunately for him, not even having a half-full tank was enough on some days. Today was one of those days, and even though he had made sure to eat lunch, he still found himself craving everything on the shelves. At one point, he made the mistake of going down the aisle where all the cookies were, and he was staring at them for an awfully long time. Believe it or not, sometimes picking what cookie he'd buy was hard. Did he want soft chocolate chip cookies, or crunchy ones? What about peanut butter ones? The ones with the cream in the middle? This was hard. Seriously. As the Grimm studied the cookies in the aisle, his tail swished back and forth, almost unconsciously. If he didn't watch it, he was probably going to knock something or someone over.

He really shouldn't, because he was a stranger and he wasn't suppose to approach stranger but the swishing tail was like a beacon. Swish, Swish, just beckoning to be touched and to attempt to hide in. Jamie nibbled on his claw before approaching. Maybe he wouldn't notice? If he was quick and gentle? And with that thought, Jamie reached out to pet the tail and then found himself wrapping around it with a tiny Chhhhht. It was sooo soft.

Suhail felt his tail stop twitching. He also felt something on his tail, which was a bigger concern. It was kind of heavy, whatever it was. He turned around, and lo and behold, there was a very strange Freshling clinging to his tail. Those ears looked Goblin-like, but four eyes...? Was this kid a Hallowed or something? Not that Suhail would really raise an issue with it. A kid couldn't help when they were born. Maybe there was some four-eyed race that he hadn't encountered out there. "Hey," he said softly, hoping to not the frighten the kid. "What are you doing back there?" He wasn't going to come down hard on the freshling; maybe he didn't understand that you weren't supposed to touch people's tails or something? Or had poor boundaries or impulse control? If he was at the Academy, the higher-ups would probably get him in line soon enough.

Jamie chittered, looking up at Suhail while trying to wrap himself up in the poor grimm's tail as if it was a fur boa. He blinked his eyes and while still wrapped up, tried to step out of his sight. Nope.

That was cute, but a bit uncomfortable. "My tail is attached to me," Suhail said. "You can't walk off with it." Really, the kid did look cute wrapped up in his tail, but he had things to do. "Do you know where your parents are?" Great, he was going to have to be That Person who reported lost children to grocery store staff. At least they had an intercom, right? That'd help the parents find their kid quickly.

"Chhhthck?" Jamie questioned and paused, running his tongue over his teeth in though, still wrapped up in the warm comforting fur tail. He blinked, tipping his head and gave a small little shrug. He wasn't sure where his caretaker got to, only they weren't his mom.

Well, that was weird. The kid didn't seem to be able to talk yet (or just elected not to). "Um... did you come here with anyone?" Right, a more general inquiry was better. Not everyone went places with parents, assuming they even had them, duh. Then again, it was also silly to be talking to a kid that wasn't up to talking back, if he could understand what was being said. Suhail was not very good at charades, but maybe he could coax the freshling over to a store worker who could help. Cautiously, he took a few steps over, hoping the kid would follow (he probably would, especially if he was still clinging to his tail like that).

"Yes," He said finally, he had came with someone but he wasn't sure where she had got to. He gave a cheerful chrrr noise, toddling after Suhail, curled into the warmth of the tail that was nearly like moms but not moving. Well not moving like mom's moved. It moved but it wasn't right.

Oh, good, the kid could talk! That was a relief. Suhail sort of wished that he could get the kid off his tail though (he was sure people were staring). It was cute, but a little invasive of personal space. "Follow me, I'll help you find them." He walked slowly towards the customer service counter, making sure the little one was in tow as he went. Then again, seeing as the kid was pretty much attached to him, he didn't think he'd be likely to lose the kid.

Jamie nodded, moving closer and closer till he could grab onto Sunhail's pants leg, letting go of his tail. It didn't wrap around right and it was starting to just make him feel sad and miss his mom more then make him feel better.

"Careful, I need to be able to walk," Suhail said to the kid. He looked around the store; where were the employees when he needed them? Granted, he was pretty good at finding things on his own, but it would be better to find this kid's caretaker sooner than later. Jamie didn't actually impede his walking that much, but still, the last thing he wanted was to accidentally step on the kid's tail, or something equally unpleasant. He eventually found someone to talk to after some trudging around. "Um, excuse me, this kid got lost from his caretaker..." The store had to have an intercom. Hopefully it'd be smooth sailing from here.

"Sorry," Jamie muttered, walking alongside Suhail, glancing about in some curiosity. Ooh, there was a lot of food here. He wondered if they had his mama favorite brand of hot sauce. "Do they have hot sauce?" He questioned. "There you are!" A voice proclaimed and a harried caretaker approached Suhail, focused on the freshling clinging to the Grimms pantsleg.

"Hot sauce...?" Suhail would have thought that that was a bit strong for a freshling's palate, but everyone had different tastes. Besides, there were milder hot sauces out there. "I'm sure they do have some. Why wouldn't they?" The sound of Jamie's caretaker approaching made Suhail startle, but he sighed in relief once he saw who the caretaker was looking at. "I'm taking it this kid is yours? Or at least, under your care? He showed up and started clinging to my tail." He gave a soft chuckle. "He's a good kid, even if he doesn't have much concept of personal space."

"I'm sorry, and yes.. till his mothers come back." Jamie sighed, flickering his ears back not to happy to returned but slowly let go of Suhail's pant leg and scooted over to his temporary caretaker. He gave a small wave at Suhail and then hid behind his caretaker's body, some what embarrassed as he was talked over. "Well, we best be getting back. Thank you." the caretaker replied again and started hurrying out. "Say bye." "Bye," Jamie called, giving a partial wave before letting the other hurrying him out.
