Hobbies: Beauty and Special Effects -- His interest started with more ‘traditional’ make-up styles but soon branched out into the unique and creative; from face only to the full body majesty of body painting. He learned to dye and style hair from his mom’s best friend (a professional stylist), and how to sew and build props via youtube (bless cosplayers).
Sometimes he does tutorials or videos for youtube or instagram, but mostly he’s just too busy (or self involved) to spend the time explaining how he does the incredible things he does with make-up, paint, glitter, hairspray, various assorted materials, and an exceptionally heartless view on the pursuit of his vision.
They made an entire show dedicated to his chosen craft. Or a subset of it, since body painting generally doesn’t include much
actual make-up. Even so, Shea would someday like to participate - and
win -
Skin Wars.
Being a Smug a*****e -- Steeped in tradition during his upbringing and further exposed to it during his years at boarding school, Shea has learned to be a smug little s**t about his place in life. While not always meant in harmful manner, Shea can’t quite help taking joy in other people’s pain/discomfort. It’s an art fort, it’s a hobby. It’s just part of who he is.
Drag -- Drag is love, drag is lyfe. Shea makes her own clothing for her drag lyfe - she discovered a love for pretty frocks and the like during some of the gender-bending school plays he participated in whilst at boarding school and hasn’t looked back since. Granted, for much of his life he’s had to keep his love of drag to social media, but it’s definitely a part of how he lives and breathes.
Not only does he make his own drag costumes, he also does the same for many of his day-to-day clothing choices (when not stuck wearing a uniform, that is).
As Maleficent, Shea is a fierce, go-hard-or-go-home girl willing to claw her way to the top. She’s loyal to her Drag-mother and the family surrounding her lifestyle...even thousands of miles apart.
Virtues: Resourceful -- Doing a lot with little comes easily to Shea...and doing
more with
more does too. It’s not so much that he’s grown up in deprivation or anything so crass, but more that many of his ‘hobbies’ and preferences are prohibitively
expensive for a youth, so he has to make do with what’s readily available. It’s fantastical what he can do with a three colour eyeshadow palette and some primer.
Or what he can do with a few hours and some household items, for that matter.
Intelligent -- Resourceful feeds into this - as does Mercy is a Dirty Word. Because Shea is so intelligent, it makes it easy to branch out in manners both ‘good’ and also ‘bad. He’s intelligent enough to make the grades that will allow him to do what he wants (for the most part) but also intelligent enough to make sport of less fortunate peers.
Flaws:Vanity Barely Covers It -- Shea is certain he’s the most beautiful creature around - or will be, once he’s gotten a few more years of experience under his belt. But whether or not he actually
is a beautiful monster, he’s extremely vain about the luxuriousness of his hair, the clarity of his skin, and the smooth perfection of his nails.
He’s not the ‘fairest’, no...but like any proper dragon he’s certain that one doesn’t need to be
fair to be the most beautiful - just be the one willing to put in the most effort.
Mercy is a Dirty Word -- Shea is
ruthless in the pursuit of what he wants, be it a job, lover, crown, or even that last piece of sushi. Once he’s set his mind to something, he will do absolutely
anything to get it, to the point where his typical thoughtfulness and logic fly right on out the window.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION Eyes: Green-blue, but he typically wears coloured contacts - like, all the damn time. No one but family and his Drag Mother actually know what his real colour is.
Hair: Oilslick black, moderately short/spikey (like
this ) - but he wears a looot of wigs okay, so realy he could have
anything going on.
Face: Oblong, Roman nose. Light freckles but hides them under make-up.
Clothes: Posh looking clothing, though it’s mostly hand-made.
Tattoos: this - rather, this will be what happens when he gets to Destiny City, lol.
