A quaint coffee shop sits down a semi-secluded street, and normally one would miss the fact it's there, except someone (likely Haneul), has taken the time to go tie balloons to street lamps and such at either end of the street, as well as hang more of the brightly colored things outside the store, announcing their grand opening.
A Cup of Heaven had been a long time in coming, a dream of theirs since they were children, and while at times it seemed out of reach they'd finally managed it.
Inside, the twin Swanna teens, are seen doing the last minute preparations. The scent of coffees, pastries, and more fills the air in a perfectly orchestrated symphony meant to delight your senses. Low music plays over speakers places strategically around the room so everyone can hear it.
The menu is written is a painstakingly written handwriting, and laminated, a labor of love from Caelius really, and sits along tables, where he or Haneul will come to take your order. "Welcome to A Cup of Heaven, we'll be your waiters today, what can we get for you today?" the automatic, but friendly words spoken by the normal Swanna Haneul as he looks up from the chair he was straightening, having heard the bell ring, and a softer "Let our guest have a seat and look the menu over Han..." from behind the coffee bar, Caelius the shiny Swanna shaking his head at his twin. How could one order, if not allowed to look after all. Han can be seen grinning a little, and giving a small bow conceding the point. "I'm Haneul and I'll be your waiter today. Let me know when you're ready to order." The menu has several things to offer to the guests of the shop. Coffee and espresso drinks of many varieties, bottles of flavored syrups gleaming on the counter ready for use. A variety of milk types to be used as requested, hot chocolate, even regular milk is offered. As well as various cookies, and cake slices. You even notice they sell sandwiches there. A little bit of everything seemed to be available there. You even see items geared more towards pokemon. Pokepuffs, pokeblocks, poffins, pokebeans, various juices, all the things a pokemon could want, or a trainer could want for their pokemon is there ready to be ordered. It seems as if the twins have gone out of their way to make this as welcoming a place to both humans and pokemons alike.ORP Rules:Feel free to cause drama! You can use as many characters as you would like, but to get credit for them, please make sure they each get 5 posts in. I'm not enforcing a minimum word count, though please keep in mind if your post is unnecessarily short then it will NOT be counted for your growth requirements. I want more than 1-5 words. But I'm not asking for novella length either. Use your judgement here. Once you have 5 posts, you can claim 2 rp requirements. Or two solos. Or 1 rp/1 solo (with links to each post in your requirements for when you're ready to post them for growths. Make it easy on our colorists! But you cannot claim all three. Keep that in mind. If the ORP gets very long, I will announce if extra reqs can be claimed!)That's it! Have fun! Haneul is the normal, and very outgoing swanna who's missing his arm from a childhood accident, and very flirtatious (feel free to flirt! He's willing to flirt back but keep in mind he and Cae are already plotted to other characters), and Caelius is the shiny swanna, who's the more introverted brother (it's his fault Han lost his arm when they were kids)

Muirgen was out wandering the town with her new friend, Rockruff. Well the two had been together for a short while now but still the Rockruff was her newest friend... Honestly she was her only friend since moving here and it seemed the same could be said for the pokemon. She had found the poor thing covered in dust and rock bits just outside a cave that had caved in. The Rockruff seemed devastated when she came to and saw the sealed cave.
Hoping to lift the little dog's spirits she took her out to the town and they wandered about. Nothing had seemed to work but a small 'ruff' caught her attention. The little pokemon was looking at some balloons tied to a lamppost. Muirgen walked closer and saw a small sign announcing a grand opening. "Alright Rockruff..... I really need to think of a name for you huh..... anyways.. why don't we go check out this coffee shop." She looked about for a moment then spotted the store in question due to the brightly colored things outside of it. It had to be that store as none of the others had anything out that screamed 'grand opening'.
Leading the Rockruff over to the store she opened the door and allowed her friend to go in first. She followed her in a moment after. She paused just inside the door having spotted the two Swanna teens. She was still getting used to seeing these strange pokemon. She started a little when Haneul spoke and she gave him a nod. Looking around she spotted an empty table near a window. Heading for that spot she pulled out a chair and set Rockarella on it. She then sat down at the opposite site. "Alright Rockruff let's see what they have." She grabbed a menu, noticing it was handwritten, and looked at the items available.Rockarella was following after Muirgen sad that she had been separated from her brother due to that cave in. She was really worried about him but there was no way to find him right now. Until the cave-in could be cleared out she couldn't go look for him. She was glad to that Muirgen had found her but she really wished she had a way to tell her that her name was Rockarella. She was tired of being called simply Rockruff.
The had spent a good part of the day wandering around town for no reason that Rockarella could discern. As the day dragged on a movement from the corner of her eye caught her attention. Strange floating things were being moved by the small breeze. "Ruff!" She barked out catching Muirgen's attention. She listened to the trainer speak about something but it didn't tell her what those strange things were. She let out a small huff as the human began to walk down the street to some shop.
She tilted her head when she saw the shop and hesitantly walked into the store when Muirgen opened the door. It was there she spotted her first pair of PokeHumans ever. She stared at them for a long moment before realizing that Muirgen had moved off towards a table. She scrambled to catch up and when she did she was suddenly lifted up. She looked about startled but quickly calmed down when she was placed in a chair. Up at this higher height she looked around taking in the shop. Her nose twitched a lot as she smelled all the yummy scents. Something smelled sweet making her mouth water.

Cecily wasn't exactly eager to start venturing into places with more and more people, being far more used to quiet and solitude, but hiding away wasn't going to work for her forever, so she might as well ... well, stop doing so. It was time she start being a little more adventurous, a little more social, and so she would.
... Even if it was a terrifying thought, especially when there were so many people around! Every now and then, her wings would buzz behind her as her nerves told her she needed to fly away and fly away now. She was a bit too heavy for such an escape, but it didn't stop her from wanting to do so. But something nearby smelled good, and maybe she could find something that would make this whole trip worth it! So, steeling herself, she edged inside the shop... and promptly froze, having absolutely no idea what to do next. Cafés weren't really Isaac's style - too neat, too organized, too... prissy. Sure, he liked coffee well enough; it had fueled more than one late-night street art session when he couldn't find something stronger, but something like this little place was too kitschy for him to get much enjoyment out of it.
Except... well, he was bored, and hungry, and he was really beginning to regret having skipped dinner the night before to work on his latest project. So with a grimace, inside he stepped, trying to focus on the smells and the food rather than how... ugh, 'quaint' everything was. He'd need forty years and a sweatervest before he bothered coming back to this thing, he just knew it.
But eh, maybe he could grab a few things to take back home for himself and Rory. Food was food, and he had just enough from selling his last project to get something decent here.
... They'd better have 'to go' option, though. He wasn't sticking around to make friends.

Draven had left an invite for Briar. He was still hoping to impress her, despite the constant assurances from Rhiyn that things would get better, that they loved each other and that was more important and more valuable than any box of chocolate. It was nice to hear, but the dragonite didn't really believe it.
He wanted Briar to know how special she was to him, but how? How did he show her how he felt? They were too young to get married, and he didn't think she'd accept his proposal just yet.
So he'd left the invitation to the grand opening of Cup of Heaven. He'd brought along a box of chocolates and a single rose in hopes she'd show up.
~~
Brielle had shyly entered the cafe and quickly hunkered into a corner. Connie had promised most people weren't as bad as teamrocket--and he'd certainly been right about those kids at the park. She'd come to try and interact with others.
Maybe she'd even make a friend.

There was a smile from Han seeing the surprised look on the face of Muirgen as she walked in, knowing not everyone was used to those like him and his brother who were pokemon but also human like as well. Though he knew that they could have almost passed for pokefans, which wouldn't have been such a bad thing either, but he was aware it didn't really work that way give the wings, etc. Han watched Muirgen lift up the Rockruff to the table, and look at the menu, a smile on his face. He would step over to them in a moment to take their order, give them a moment to look at the menu (thank you Cae for that reminder), and had moved away from where he'd been standing, just as the door tinkled once more. The little Celebi girl that stood just inside the shop caught his attention as the bell chimed, and he could see her scared, and somewhat lost expression and instead of calling out a hello to her, made his way across the shop and crouched down at her level, voice warm but low. "Hello there, I'm Haneul, and you little dear, look a little lost. Let me show you to a table." he gave a frindly smile as he eased back to his feet, and made a motion toward a little two person table not too far away from where they were standing as well. Cae seeing his brother greet her so calmly gave a smile and continued with what he was doing. Except he was of course busy with the girl, and when he saw the teen step into the shop a surprised look on his own face. He'd never seen a hybrid pokehuman before so it was a little startling seeing Isaac! It took a heartbeat longer than he would have liked to finally speak. "Welcome to A Cup of Heaven, we'll be your waiters today. Please sit anywhere, and have a look at the menu!" he felt relieved getting that out on the first try, and reached up to gently adjust the cap he was wearing, that matched his brothers own. Han had gotten Cecily settled at the little table, when he spotted Draven stepping in as well, and gave a smile, and the same welcome his brother had just given Isaac, though spying the chocolates and flowers in his hand, there was a simple "There's a nice table with a view right over here so you can see if the person you're expecting shows up!"Well really, it made no sense to suggest he sit closer to the back where he couldn't see things as clearly in the end. He looked nervous, and anxious, and he paused by the table. "Might I ask what the person you're expecting looks like so I can direct them to the right place if they don't see you?"Cae didn't know how his brother did it, interacting with the customers so easily. It wasn't so easy for him, quite the opposite in fact but this was something they'd both expressed an interest in. He realized however he'd been hoping for less customer interaction himself. Oh well he realized, as Brielle walked in, and his brother, currently talking to what looked like a Dragonite from over here meant he was up again. "Welcome to A Cup of Heaven, please have a seat anyone and take a look at the menu! We'll be your waiters today!"--- Miel had been wandering by the coffee shop, and seeing all the people going in, and the yummy smells, decided he would look in too. The bakery was nice and all, but he was a curious little bear, and wanted to learn more, and something in the air smelled really good. His trainer didn't drink coffee only tea, and her husband hadn't drank it either when he was alive. So this was an entirely new smell. He looked around and was surprised when a Swanna started to talk to him, and told him he could sit anywhere he'd like, and he'd bring him something to eat. That surprised him that he could be understood, and talked to, and merely asked for their yummiest sweet thing, and asked what that smell was in the air, trying to describe it. "You mean our coffee! I can bring you a small cup of it, and since you've apparently never had any before, I'll make sure it's sweet." < > the Teddiursa beamed as he managed to climb up into a chair, glad there was tables meant for smaller pokemon there, just out of the way, and he sat there looking around curiously as he listened to arguing outside.
"I don't WANT to go in here Noelle!" "Well I DO Nathaniel so neh. We're going in!" She was used to getting her way with her twin so she didn't see why she couldn't with her new friend. They hadn't known one another long, but she liked the Cubchoo boy, he was funny, and liked things like the stars which was near to listen to. "C'moooon. I'll buy anything you want to eaaaaat." "Well...okay." and in the two kids went, Noelle looking around and moving off to a booth. "We'll sit over here Natey." "Noellllllle." there was a soft whine from him at that nickname, he hated being called Natey but still he followed her and slid onto the booth seat across from her and picked up his menu looking at it in confusion. "Psss....Noelle...I can't read this, can you?" she looked up in surprise, and got up and slid in next to him. "Yup, I'll help you!" and there, she was reading the menu to her friend.
Briar, had found the invite, and was looking at it, unsure of what she wanted to do. She wasn't angry with Draven anymore for running off like he had (again), but she was worried it would happen again and had grown increasingly distant toward the Dragonite who'd been her friend and protector for so long. Had felt her feelings slipping away from her, more so this last time he left, even though she had tried to get him to stay.
His need to save people, made her feel like she just wasn't enough anymore, especially now that she no longer needed saved from a teenage trainer, who thought it was fun to make her play the damsel-mon in distress. So it made her feel useless, and unwanted, and even like he was trying to find a replacement as he went running off looking for adventure and all. She didn't know how to put this all into words. It left her upset and either yelling at him, or in tears.
So anymore she just ignored him, and kept her distance, even going as far as to not sleep in the room they shared most nights, and instead falling asleep curled up in an arm chair in the living room, because it just ached too much to feel like she wasn't enough. So that he had left that invite there, surprised her, and left her very unsure of what to do.
Quote: Sorry for the delay on this everyone! I just hadn't planned on getting sick (and so sick at that) just after starting this!
Thaliawen Pretend Briar is still teen stage here.

Draven gave the swanna a nervous sort of smile before taking the table indicated. He folded his hands nervously in front of him, looking anxiously around for any sign that Briar had received the invitation and accepted it.
Maybe things would get better. He lived in a house with others, but had never felt as lonely as he did without Briar by his side. How did one feel lonely with others so close? Even here, his chest felt like it might cave in with that aching hole there.
He fiddled with the ribbon that held the box of chocolates closed. He plucked a thorn off the rose's stem. She'd come. He had to convince himself that.
---
"Do you have hot chocolate?" Brielle asked, shyly. "What's a waiter? And what's coffee?" Was coffee good? Were their snacks good?

The Pachirisu teen had received the invite yes, and she'd read it over more than once, unsure if she wanted to go or not. Part of her said no. Part said yes. She didn't know. She put the invite down several times, only to pick it up again and re-read it. She was still mad at Draven for leaving the way he had though she also understood why, so the madness was less. Now it was just a matter of letting it go entirely and forgiving him properly. Still... she was unsure if she'd go even as she got ready to do just that. The idea of traveling to this unknown place on her own was less than thrilling but she knew she'd be fine, she'd learned that much over time. She wasn't like a pokemon anymore, no one could capture her with a thrown ball, so there was some confidence to her as she found herself making her way there. --- There was a chuckle at the question about hot chocolate and a nod "We have that yes. So one cup of hot chocolate, extra cream and some sprinkles on top." why not? "A waiter? Well that's me. I wait on you, and other customers. I take your orders, bring your drinks or food, and make sure you have a pleasant experience here with us today!"
