On the border of the fire tribe where lush trees thrived from the constant heat provided by the immense territory, a large Tah bounded through the forest with heavy pants of breath, his long fangs glinting in the sunlight and used to cut down low hanging branches out of his way while he galloped. Up over the rocks and fallen trees, over the thick bushes and sometimes through them as he used his horns to push through the thickness of the leaves, he used his whole body like a weapon. Jalmari awoke in this area, outside of the tension filled territory of his fire kin though he was by no means oblivious to the conflict that existed from within the Fire Tribe; the Tah loved the openness of this spot. Jalmari knew what went on shortly after his awakening on the borders and entered the Capital to learn that his tribe was divided into two halves with a good many staying neutral for their personal reasons.
It was a sad state of his tribe that made him understand he needed to make a decision for himself. Being neutral was would not have been a good position to take because it felt as if one had to wait for the winning side and accept that outcome, even if it may be the wrong side that won. After much time of exploring without making it seem suspicious he decided on the Phoenix side and pledged himself to the side that believed in the Grand Weaver. After all it wasn’t the current Emperor who came to personally wake him up and give him the instinctive understanding of how to survive and figure out that he had a purpose in life. Jalmari felt in his heart and soul that he chose the right side that suited his honorable intentions.
Coming to a stop at the edge of the thickest part of the forest to look up at the glorious fire territory, he felt his heart squeeze at the beauty it held. Anyone who approached would be able to feel the fierce pride and honor of his kin…but they would find tension that you could cut with a claw should they venture further in or the searing heat that they would not be able to handle. A fire that was in them always, he mused to himself. While deep in his musings, something fell down from the trees above him that knocked with a sharp thump on his head. Shaking his head and furrowing his brows he growled deeply and looked up, only to have another hit on his forehead causing him to flinch. Thump, thump, thump, thumpthumpthump. Came down several acorns like missions rather than naturally fallen from their branches. Glaring up at the branch where a red, white and blue paroo perched looking absolutely pleased with himself at his mission firing, Jalmari growled. ”Enough Jari. Come, we have training to do and hope that others will be interested in creating a team….” Though hopefully with more cooperative paroos than you, he finished in his mind. Jari tilted his head to the side as if he understood Jalmari’s words but did not move a single feather.
The companion took up another acorn but this time ate it with happiness as he misbehaved to his master Jalmari. Their relationship was still a bit rocky since the first time they encountered one another or in this case since Jari encountered Jalmari through the same thing he did now, throwing acorns. However since that first day of their meeting, a silent understanding seemed to have connected between them which formed a bond where Jari would follow Jalmari. The Tah had begun to teach the paroo to respond to his name Jari and to be comfortable enough to perch on his back. Sometimes at night, Jari would overcome his stubbornness and cuddle close to Jalmari to keep warm from the cool air and other times he actually was a cooperative paroo. But Jari wanted to play with Jalmari and this was one of those ways though clearly the Tah was not in the mood for it.
”Jari. To my back.” Said Jalmari as a stern command that prompted his companion to glide down from his perch to land on his back. Shifting some, he pecked at Jalmari’s horns to let him know that he didn’t like being commanded but settled down as the large Tah began to walk towards an enclosed spot he found. It was a spot that was surrounded by trees and large rock formations while in the middle was a grassy opening that made it perfect for training his paroo. To Jalmari’s understanding there may be a looming break out of war between both factions of the Phoenix and Dragon side therefore to him the Phoenix side needed to show that they were innovative. Therefore, why not an Airborne Unit?
Jalmari entered the enclosed spot as the training grounds for such a unit to be created with other fire kin loyal to the Phoenix side with their paroos. It was the place where they can deepen the bond between fangs and feathers. Yes it was a possible mission to start if there were others who found their way to this spot as he didn’t want to circulate his intentions lest there were spies listening or pretending to be loyalists.
