Kieran frowned as he approached the valley once more. It seemed that it was common for a pair of limbara to be around the entrance of the herd’s grazing lands. Of course. Life couldn’t be that easy could it? This time though it seemed to be a pair of rowdy males that had taken over the area. It was going to be far more difficult than the pair he had fought with last time and even then he had to divide the two in order to just win over one. And that hadn’t gone well at all...he grit his teeth at the memory of the taming fail. How could he study foreign creatures and bond with them so easily while his own homeland proved to be the most difficult?

At this point I’d rather go crawling into a pit of keldari than deal with more limbara. Quipped Kieran silently to himself as he began his descent towards the pair. Normally the man would try to keep to the shadows and try to prevent as many pebbles from scattering down the hill as possible. Today, however, he was reckless in his movements as he refused to waste time hiding from the pair of limbara. There was no point in being subtle this time as the Yaeli darted around the two and continued to try attacking them. While others may have called him insane for attacking such a heavy defender, Kieran had a plan. He had an end goal and his heart was set upon it. Eventually he would break through and find the perfect limbara...even if he had to take down a few false leads first. A few grunts, a few near bites and charges later the Yaeli found himself winded. But still he was determined and so he continued to fight.

Eventually he managed to corral one down into the same corner he had worked with before while he got the other one to charge past into a narrower place. This time though Kieran had scoped the area out and remembered that there was a part of the passage that was so narrow any limbara could easily get stuck. Which was perfect for him. As the one limbara found its rump stuck in the crevice the other one moved forward and Kieran had to push it back with his whip. Just one was enough after all.

Too bad the limbara didn’t think that way. Kieran had to test his endurance as the limbara kept trying to get back towards the other one. Thankfully for him this wasn’t his first encounter with the beasts so Kieran knew which spots to lash out at. Eventually after a few more grunts and even a strange whining noise the limbara turned tail and darted away. Kieran let out a sigh as it left before turning back to the one that was trapped in between the cliffs.

Time to see what we can do with you, buddy.” Quipped the Yaeli before wiping off his brow. Talk about a harsh few days…

“Grr.” The creature grunted at him angrily before raising its front legs in defense. It seemed freeing the limbara from its predicament was not the easy answer to taming it. Sighing, Kieran watched as the creature snapped his jaws towards him in warning, “I get it, I get it.” The yaeli simply stood back as the limbara began to dart away from him. It would be a shame to separate the pair anyways since they looked so close. Tucking a stray curl behind his ear the man pursed his lips thoughtfully.

The personality wasn’t what he was looking for anyways. He needed something that was tame and perhaps just a bit playful. Not easy to find in the wild, right? He shook his head. It seemed that his plan was a bit skewed in that sense. But he was determined...perhaps if he found a limbara that was younger and far less aggressive….that would be key.

I’ll try again tomorrow. That decided Kieran fixed his satchel and wound his whip back up before heading back up the narrow path to the top of the cliffs where he had made camp for the time being.
