Patrolling was a silly concept, in Lovejoy's mind. What was the big to-do about gathering energy, anyways? So they got some, so they didn't - big deal, right?
Being a magical schoolgirl came with so many more perks that needed more attention than just her ability to gather energy. Like... jumping higher. Or running faster. Or the fact she could twirl around and suddenly be a TOTALLY different person with fluffy skirts and fashionable boots and nevermind that her braids didn't come with her because she was magical.
So to celebrate her magical-ness (and the fact her birthday had just happened), she decided to bring some of the leftover candy from her sleepover-slash-birthday-party to munch on while she pretended to work. Because hey, she was still basking in her birthday glory - who cared if she didn't turn in as much energy that week, right?
She was so engrossed in her munching, in fact, that she wasn't paying attention to where she was going - a dangerous thing, for even a senshi.

Theodore was not in the company of his senshi for once. The stupid pointy-haired man was home and taking all of her attention away from him-- the jerk had gone so far as to go into his bedroom with Prissy, push him out with his foot and shut the door in his face! Rude! THEN stupid head had the audacity to keep her from letting him in despite the pleading meows and scratches.
After at least a half hour of attempting the guardian cat had given up and slipped out the fancy cat door and made his way slowly into the thick of the city. It took a long time, including hitching a ride with some slightly plastered chick on her way to get more drunk in the city. Jerk face also basically lived in the middle of nowhere he was so far out the city that it was aggravating.
Most of the time, Theodore liked the privacy the mansion-esque home provided them but not when he had to get back into town. Really, he needed to build his own teleporter plate much closer than the stupid school because how dare they inconvenience him so badly.
However once in the city his nose picked up the scent of candy while his senses picked up an aura. Little paws carried him automatically and he spotted the white haired senshi and narrowed his eyes. She had the candy and he was going to get it.

Hand dipping down into the plastic pink bag, she pulled out an assortment of jellies and gumdrops. Her mom had taken her to the mall to pick out her birthday present and while they were there, Ms. Kellye had surprised her only child with an additional trip to Sugar, Sugar, the ever-popular candy store on the second floor. Inside, there were stations and cabinets with dozens upon dozens of different colorful candies just waiting to be tasted. One bag and a handful of dollars could get you a pound of any sort of assortment that your little candy scoop could manage and Bea did her best to stuff her bag as full as she could get it before letting her mom pay.
It had been a week or so and the bag had dwindled in size. Goodness only knew how much sugar she'd consumed, but becoming a diabetic meant losing a limb and losing a limb meant getting a robotic replacement and receiving a robot arm for eating an unhealthy amount of candy sounded like an okay trade-off for the teenager.
Crunch, crunch, crunch.
A shadow darted in her peripheral vision and the senshi turned to spot the tiny little Persian staring back at her. He had a top hat and bow tie. He was also pink.
Dipping her hand back into the bag, she pulled it out and tossed a few more jelly beans past her maw.
Chew. Chew. Swallow.
“You headed to a party or something, pussycat?”

Theodore's attention was solely on the pink bag. Behind him his tail wiggled, like he was getting ready to pounce but the rest of his body stayed put. Pink eyes moved from the bag and up to the senshi, one that wasn't a corrupt but something else. What it was, he didn't know but he was pretty sure they were on his side.
That counted for absolutely nothing though.
"No party," he replied, head cocking and his top hat going askew. It was difficult for him to keep from letting his eyes get really, really big as his desire for the candy was increasing.
"Who are you?" Yes, distract her and then steal her candy. That plan was foolproof!

She chewed more thoughtfully on her next handful of candy as the cat responded. Star Cats were the talky kind of cats - just like the fat hairy one with the tie had been, the one who'd given her the pen and her name. He'd worn a tie and this one wore a hat.maybe Star Cats didn't like walking around naked like normal cats? That made sense. Sort of.
“Aren't you supposed to know who I am?” Her head tilted as she stared down at the colorful Persian. Even his voice sounded snooty as he questioned her, but maybe Lovejoy was being a little judgemental over his prissy choice of accessories. It wasn't nice to judge a book by its cover, so maybe she shouldn't judge a cat by his hat.
“LJ. Who’re you?”
The bag sank down to her side as her other hand moved to pull out her compact to show the nosy feline.

This girl had attitude and Theodore didn't like it one bit.
Pink eyes narrowed and dark ears flattened against his skull which made his hat slip over one of them. It jostled as his ears returned to their upright position and he stepped forward, gazing at the bag of candy she had foolishly allowed to drop lower.
Just a little more and he could pounce!
"LJ? That's not a name it's a set of initials," he pointed out, carefully stepping forward. "My name is Theodore." His name a great name.
Suddenly, without much of another word his eyes grew wide and he prepared his pounce, launching at her arm with claws trying to get to that sweet candy.[/size[

"Well, duh, it's initials - but it's what I prefer to --"
The teenager let out a startled cry as claws brushed against her wrist and the candy was dropped. The cat's paw had only scratched her, but it was enough to loosen up the bag in her grip. Her other hand was focused on trying not to drop her compact, the senshi fumbling with herself for a moment.
"You... you overgrown rat!"
It didn't matter that he was a cat in a fancy hat. It didn't even matter that he was a Star Cat - Theodore (what a sissy name for a cat!) had knocked the candy out of her hand and that was rude. Super rude. Mega super terrible rude.
The bag spilled to the ground, small hard candies and gummies alike flying in every direction. There was still a healthy amount in the pink bag, though, and dark eyes scowled at the feline as her newly freed hand moved to rub her wrist.
Just to be spiteful, she bent down in attempts to retrieve the bag, which was obviously the target to the sissy cat's affections. "You don't deserve any candy, you dumb cat."

Hissing accompanied his swipping claws and Theodore's ears flattened against his head again when she insulted him. A witty retort was surely on his tongue but he ignored it in favor of quickly gorging himself on some of the fallen candy.
While he would vehemently deny if if anyone said or drew attention to the rather disgusting quick and hungry growling noises he made as he scarfed up some sugar, Theodore was being rather disgusting.
LJ - a name perhaps as stupid as Bob - made an attempt to retrieve the remains of the bag beneath his small body and he was hissing, immediately shifting to snap at her hand with tiny but sharp teeth.
"Back off! It's mine now!"

"H-Hey, oww!"
The cat bit her! The stupid cat had bitten her, all over some stupid candy that she totally would have shared if the furball hadn't been so rude about it!
Letting off a sound that was half-growl, half-huff, she pulled back her boot and sent a swift kick in the cat's direction.
Somewhere out there, she knew Kibirev was probably screaming at her for doing something as heartless as kicking a cat - she'd stopped her from hurting that orange blob, before - but this... this Theodore was asking for it!
"For a cat wearing a top hat, you need to learn some manners!!!"

His little paws couldn't scramble out of the way of the stupid senshi's kick and the toe of her boot caught his ribcage and sent him skittering. A pitiful mewl left him with Theodore struggling to get back to his feet.
She had kicked him. Animal abuser!!
Every part of him was on edge, fur bristling as he hissed at her carefully edging closer to the candy he was determined to walk off with. His whole body hurt, he was gonna have to tell Dia about the rude girl who kicked him.
His senshi would show her he was sure.
"You're the one kicking cats!" He hissed back, making a beeline grab for the candy then an escape.

The moment her boot made contact with the small cat, Lovejoy immediately felt bad. Yeah, he was dumb and mean but she was like...ten times his size and it probably hurt a lot to get nailed by something ten times your size.
"Whatever. Sorry.."
Her mumbled apology fell on deaf furry ears, though, as Theodore the Star Cat was already half a block away with the bag of candy secured in his mouth.
Stupid cat.
The senshi huffed quietly and turned to storm off in the other direction, the lingering taste of sugar in her mouth quickly growing bitter.
