Kibaroo was busy sleeping away but Lovejoy couldn't. As hard as she tried (and she really, really, really sort of tried!), she just couldn't chase away the feeling that something Wasn't Right. She tossed and turned, her skirts ruffling with the movement as her wild white hair continued to splay against the pillow. A time or two she'd managed to wake up her poor companion, so LJ resolved to be quieter. Or at least try.

Well... that is, until the loud noise in the hallway had her shooting straight up in bed.

It must not have been that loud because Kibirev was still snoozing away but Lovejoy knew what she heard. Something was going on out there... and she needed to know what it was. Sleep wasn't going to grace her if there was something mysterious thing going bump and thump in the hallways, after all!!!

Peeling herself from the bed, she slipped on her boots all the while taking glances back at the sleeping senshi, ensuring she remained dead to the world. The last thing she wanted to do was worry Kib - not that Kib had been worried much, the past few hours. Must've been those crystals or something, who knows. Maybe they were crack. Could mirrorspace crack exist?

Tip-toeing her way out the door in such a way that would make a cartoon character proud, the door creaked opened as Lovejoy peeked her head outside, dark eyes peering into the shadows of the hallway as she looked to see what could have made such a large thump.

She was looking in the opposite direction of the hallway, unaware that there was a stumbling, pillar-prone senshi headed straight for her until it was practically too late. A small squeak came out of her mouth before she had time to clamp a glove over her lips, quickly remembering that there were others sleeping around them and that it probably wasn't smart to wake up everyone in the hallway just because some senshi was lousy at walking!

Closing the room's door behind her, she stepped out into the hallway and loomed over the other senshi. The senshi she'd seen with Miss Lesath earlier at the dinner table where she'd unfortunately had nothing to eat.

Her poor stomach.


"What are you doing out here?" LJ hissed between her teeth as she too began to look for the crystal servants, "Did you hear the noise too?"

Pause.


"Or were you the noise??"

"You're mapping things out? Do you have it written out?"

Dark eyes glance around at the senshi's hands, disappointed in finding them empty. Her nose wrinkled and she tried not to look too disheartened at the lack of a physical mirror - there would be time to write things out later. Who even knew how long they'd be stuck in there, anyways??

"LJ." Hands absentmindedly moved out to fluff down her poofy skirt, unsure of how to respond about outfits. It wasn't like she chose to only wear black and white - whatever cosmic forces had made the pretty, sparkly gowns for everyone else had apparently decided that Bea was better off with not a single sparkle, much less any actual color. It wasn't a blessing - it was a rip off.

..... not that she actually had a color she'd want put in with the others.

At the mention of her companion, Lovejoy laughed nervously and shook her head. Kibirev had eaten far too many crystals, in the senshi's opinion, but trying to stop her was akin to trying to snatch a bone away from a dog.

"No adverse side effects so far," she conceded, rolling her eyes. "I'm still waiting for her to sprout crystals through her arms or something weird like that."

Her stomach growled at the thought of dinner - or the lack thereof. "Did you eat any?"

She nodded her head as if she knew who Logos was talking about - she didn't, really, but it made her look dumb if she said she didn't know who it was that was shredding the books apart... which, honestly, she probably should figure out, on the off chance the angry shredder decided to turn to shredding humans.

Mental note to figure out who Acubens was: check.

At the mention of Kibirev and her crystal eating habit, Lovejoy shook her head. "It's okay, I've already told her that I'd be the one to take her out back, if you know what I mean." She leaned in to the other senshi, one hand by the side of her mouth as she whispered softly, "Y'know, like... Old Yeller style. We've talked about this before, her 'n me. I've got just the stake for it."

But. Oh.

Right.

Her stake was back at home... along with all of her other monster hunting tools and resources. Crap.

"I haven't eaten any either," she finally said, a troubled look on her face, "But I'm not sure what else there is to eat around here and I'm not about to start gnawing on my own boot."

Goodness only knew where that had been.

Eyes narrowed.

"You want to try a crystal?"

Her tone spoke of betrayal. Here she was, thinking she was finally finding another sane senshi in their midsts and yet another was going to cave to the crystal temptation.

What if they all turn into monsters?

There wasn't any possible way that she could defeat a LEAGUE of crystal monster dark mirror senshi!!!

"I've tried to find other stuff to eat but there's nothing. Nothing." Her tone was sulky, like a disappointed child not getting her way. "It's death or doom, one way or another."

"Maybe."

Her maybe was forced, narrowed dark eyes still staring suspiciously at the girl who suggested she might imbibe a crystal for herself. Now she was suggesting that they approach the Queen to talk about things... who was going to trust a mysterious Queen? A mysterious Queen who only gave them crystals to eat.

Things didn't add up and LJ was starting to wonder who exactly she could trust about these things. Altea? Kibirev? Logos, now?

What if the crystals were starting with their brains first??

Arms folded across her chest as she refused to let her gaze leave the other girl. "So what do you think we should do, to find her?"

For a brief minute, Lovejoy entertained the idea of kidnapping a crystal servant and forcing them to endure whatever questionable methods she and her new friend could come up with. Surely if they found the right one, they could crack under pressure...

Shaking her head, she filed it away as a Last Resort option. No sense in creating unnecessary violence or draw unwanted attention from the Queen. Nope. She'd much rather stay under the radar for now.

"That sounds good. You take the east wing, I'll take the west and we'll regroup in...what we feel is about an hour?"

It sucked, not being able to tell the freakin time anymore.
