Tinaksite was pleased that she was no longer a lieutenant. She felt pretty amazing, actually. Her outfit has changed and now included happy buttons. Or at least that’s what she always thought of them as. Happy buttons that were pleased she had gotten the power of this upgrade. Her tissue ghost was gone though, replaced by a happy looking ball on a chain. It was rather heavy, made of wood and would now do a lot more to her enemies…she wouldn’t have to hear the familiar words of that’s your weapon, ever again…for now her weapon was better.
Now she was better.
She was out tonight, for the first time in a long while, and she was moving towards a nearby aura, half minding her business, but half wanting to see the fear in the eyes of whoever…or whatever it was when she showed up…because now she deserved fear. This wasn’t a game, and she was slowly beginning to understand that.
When she finally found the person she was looking for, she was first struck by how…colorful she was. It was a knight…or a page, she really…didn’t care all that much. There was so much pink on her outfit, and her hair was far too colorful too…and…
In her hand…
“That’s mine.” It was a tissue ghost. It was a tissue ghost just like she had once had. Quickly she summoned her flail and brandished it at the page. “Give it back. My Tissue Ghost. Thief.”

Houshi considered herself to be doing a very good job of minding her own damned business. She rarely found herself in fights as a Page, except with youma, and those were fairly easily dealt with. She dodged officers, because they were too much for her to take on and she had realistic expectations of her own capabilities.
All of those she considered wise decisions.
Except sometimes, trouble found you, when you least wanted it.
She whirled on the Captain, and narrowed her eyes.
"Excuse me?" She asked, sharply. "This is my ame-ame-bozu," she held it a little closer, defensively, eyeing up the Captain and considering her chances. "If you want it, come get it."
She was willing to fight, and she might even enjoy it a little.

Tinaksite’s nose was wrinkled as though something smelled bad and when the other girl spoke, saying that the tissue ghost was hers…and calling it something…stupid. Well. That got her blood boiling. Why did…why did these people get to have weapons like she did? What did that even mean? Surely the Negaverse was better equipped for things…but…this this mean this girl should be in the Negaverse? Or…that Tinaksite should have been a knight?
Either way, the thought wasn’t a good one.
She took a step towards the page and began swinging the flail around, hoping she could figure out the right way to use it. It was a much heavier weapon than the tissue ghost…but if all else failed, she was pretty good at throwing punches.
“It is not yours. It was mine. And then I graduated to something better. How dare they give it to you.” A challenge had been issued, and Tinaksite was more than ready to rise to the occasion, she moved swiftly towards the page, flail raised to strike. “Give it back. Now.”

Houshi let slip an offended little laugh, and pulled her tiny weapon closer, holding it against her chest and glaring.
"No one gave it to me. It was mine from the moment I became a Page, and it's going to remain mine." She slipped it around her wrist and slipped into something that might have been a defensive stance, learned mostly from watching her older sister practice. It wasn't perfect, but Houshi was pretty certain that she was flexible enough to land a kick to this Captain's face, if she could just find an opening.

Tinaksite watched her, face screwing up into a confused, unhappy frown. This was unbelievable. How dare this…this pretty upstart think that such a thing was hers…that she had been given it when she was became a page.
With a grunt of utter disgust, the captain, began swinging her flail, frowning. “You are not a page, stupid. You are not in a book. You are a human.” What an idiot. Tinaksite was no fool…this wasn’t someone who was secretly a book. Secretly made of paper…what a stupid, foolish girl. Even more backwards than she herself had been.
…Still was.
“I will crush you and take it back. You will not keep my tissue ghost. Let me see it.” She held out her hand, a frown still on her face, the flail still swinging, ready to use it to strike.

"Not a page in a book, a Page as in one who serves a Knight," Houshi said, frowning. Then again, when she was first learning English, she might have made a similar mistake, especially if she'd had all this magic nonsense to contend with.
Still, this woman was threatening her, and attempting to steal her weapon. And no, that wouldn't do.
She shifted her stance and swung a solid roundhouse kick, aiming specifically to strike solidly with her foot against the woman's face, perhaps scare her out of continued aggression.
"You can't see it, and you can't have it. It belongs to me."

Tinaksite was surprised by the sudden kick…she hadn’t been expecting a kick, and she stumbled backwards to try to save her face, and managed to get a foot connecting with her boob instead. Damn…that hurt.
She swung around and lashed out with her flail. “That hurt! You do not kick someone in the chest! How would you like if I did the same?” The captain was annoyed, her hand reaching up to rub at her chest, aiming her blow for the Page’s chest. “Now you have no choice. Give me the tissue ghost. You are not allowed to have it.”
Obviously. That was stupid to think that anyone else could have the same weapon…especially someone nasty like this. Someone who wore pink and…might be a little pretty but.
Still. That was a low blow for a high kick.

The chest wasn't what she'd hoped to hit, but it would do. Except that unfortunately, Houshi was not a fighter, she was a ballerina, and a roundhouse kick was not an arabesque. So she was a little off-balance, and while she was able to get a little back, she still took much of the force of the hit.
"Why.." she gasped, stumbling backwards, "why do you want it so badly? And why is it so terrible for me to kick you when you were threatening me? It's not nice to threaten people!"
Obviously. Ugh, Houshi could have smacked herself, if she weren't already hurting. She curled her hands around her tissue ghost, though, and pulled it in close, protectively. "Just leave it and me alone!"

Tinaksite had never been the best when it came to processing emotions, and that was especially true when she had a throbbing boob and felt as though she was going to utterly explode.
“You…are an idiot! Do you understand! Fine! Keep the tissue ghost! Keep it! It will never like you! It will never save you! You will die!”
And with that, the captain turned on her heel and teleported quite by accident, ending up in a street a good few miles away from the page, feeling as though she had just run a mile uphill.
With the sudden onset of exhaustion, the anger drained from her and Tinaksite sank to the ground, shaking her head and just feeling like a fool. Next time. Next time she would see that Miss Pink didn’t kick her in the boob. Next time she would win back the tissue ghost, and that would be all there was to it.
Next time. But for now…all that she wanted was bed. And maybe some cookies.
