It was a pleasant Wednesday evening in late August. Not quite getting cool, yet, though she knew the time of year was coming that she hated more than any other. Autumn. Ugh, it was a terrible season. Chilly, and dark so early in the day, and the scent of pumpkin spice went everywhere. Americans and their pumpkin spice. The only good thing about it was the enthralling way that the leaves on the trees changed hue and Halloween. She liked Halloween. Dressing up and getting free candy from random strangers? Oh, and the parties that they had at the bars! Tonight was not for thinking about Halloween. She had been slacking on her energy, of late, finding herself more interested in finding people to chat with than doing her job; tonight she would need to visit her batteries, and she was armed with gift cards to a local coffee shop. The homeless commonly let her drain their energy for little luxuries, or little necessities, depending on what came available to her, and a gift card for a warm drink was a luxury not many of the impoverished got to enjoy. She was down to rationing her last pack of cigarettes as a result of her coffee expenditure, but it would be worth it. They recognized her by now, as she made her approach, and a few of them shuffled over to cautiously greet her, eyes lighting as she tugged out today's payment for their services. And thus her feast began- Titanite making her way down the line of the homeless, trailing her fingers over each one and tugging a small orb of it from them, sending tiny pieces to the protection of Negaspace before she moved on to the next.

Gelria was worried about Xi-Wang. It had been almost two days since he had seen his boyfriend, and the worry in him was growing almost unbearable. What could have happened to him? Did he get hurt again? Perhaps he had been taken by someone in the Negaverse…or perhaps he was lying somewhere, hurting and scared and there wasn’t anyone to go and find him.
Caleb had spent the entire night, last night searching, not making it back to the apartment until well past daybreak, and he was more than prepared to do the same tonight. He had to find him…he was scared.
He was tired too, though, and because of this, he almost walked right past the Negaverse captain who was draining the group of homeless people as efficiently as if they were dairy cows. Thankfully, though Gelria had a few wits about him still and doubled back, staring at the sight with his jaw dropping in utter confusion and horror. It wasn’t Xi-Wang…none of them were Xi, thank goodness…but it was still a ton of people…and he had to do something.
“What…what do you think you’re doing? Do you think I’ll just let you…no, stop that!” He ran at the captain, throwing himself between her and the civilian she was draining and shoving her as hard as he could away from the homeless man. “Cinnamon Cloud!” He held his hand out, shooting the magic right at her face, hoping that none of the other people got in the way…or they’d feel the magic too, and while he didn’t have first hand experience…he knew it wasn’t a good one to have to deal with.Infinities Gelria holds out his hand and a puff of ground cinnamon comes out.The cinnamon causes irritation to the eyes, nose and throat. The puff of cinnamon can reach out up to five feet, and affects everyone in the area except Gelria himself. The attack can be used twice per battle, and the cinnamon puff lasts for ten seconds before dissipating.

Here she was, having a nice energy drain, making some people happy for the night, feeling good about her charity work, and the next thing she knew, she was getting screamed at and having some tiny little thing knocking her over. Titanite was ashamed to report, even if to absolutely no one ever, that the shove was super-effective; distracted by her draining, she hadn't even noticed the approaching aura of Order.
Honestly, it seemed sometimes like Order had no manners. As Shahar wheezed on her back, trying to catch her breath from the sudden assault, she wondered why they couldn't just leave her alone. All she wanted to do was borrow some unused energy.
"You," she wheezed, accent heavier with her outrage and indignation, "How dare yoooooooooooooou." her gasped grumble cut off into violent wheezing and choking as he did a ********? And then magical pain dust flew into her face. And by all the gods, it went everywhere. In her eyes, in her nose, in her mouth. It was worse than cranberries to the face. This- this didn't just pelt her. This was cinnamon. It clung, seeping into every available crevice. Filling even her pores with dusty despair.
At least it wasn't pumpkin spice. She choked, she wheezed, curling into a fetal position and then trying to inchworm her way out of the cloud of hellspores.

It…it was almost comical, her reaction to his shove and his attack…or at least it was almost comical until the actual attack hit her, and then Gelria felt bad…he knew his attack was bad, he had tried it out on Malus and had felt horrible afterwards…but this was a different story. This was someone who deserved it. This was someone who was terrorizing a group of people who were already down on their luck…people…ugh. He couldn’t stand chaos. It made him angry. And uncomfortable. Why did they think it was okay to go around picking on people like that? It was wrong. They were all just…bullies.
“How dare I what? Save these people from you?? The words were almost spat at her, his arms crossing over his chest as he watched her try to scoot away. “You shouldn’t pick on people who can’t defend themselves. It’s disgusting and wrong, and I hope you’ve at least started to learn your lesson, because next time, I won’t go so easy on you.”
It was almost astounding how brave he felt…him, standing strong over this woman who was not only stronger than him, but was…was bigger than him too. He had been utterly surprised to knock her over, and was considering himself to be quite lucky, now that he thought about it.
Perhaps though…perhaps he shouldn’t go around pressing that luck much further. He had a boyfriend to find and save after all…and he had glanced around and been quite sad that none of these people looked like Xi-Wang at all…but…
None the less, he had saved them…and now he had to get out before this captain got angry. Or got up.
Or was able to really breathe again.
He scoffed, trying to keep up the brave kid act and moved his arms to his sides, resting his hands on his hips. “So you think about that next time, and go home and…I don’t know. Knit something. Do something useful, that benefits everyone. Not just the evil people in the world.”
And then Gelria took off, wanting to get far enough away from the captain before she could decide to pay him back for him being so brazen.

This was not how she intended to spend her evening, Titanite thought resentfully, wondering who this monstrous beast of a senshi was. "I pay them!" she tried to wheeze, but she doubted the senshi was listening to her. Too many of them were self-righteous little tits, after all. And this one, telling her-
Wheeeze.
As he was babbling, the people who had been promised income for their energy descended on her, grouping around her, looking for pockets. Pulling out the gift cards.
They were getting paid- they had done their part, what she'd lost was her problem!
Titanite hated all of them. Hated knitting. Hated dust, or cinnamon, or whatever he'd spewed in her face.
By the time the magic faded and she was free, civilians and powered characters alike were gone, and Titanite was broke with maybe half of her expected energy for the night.
