Another day of work, selling music, recommending it, making old ladies think your satan because you have tattoos. It was a fairly normal day for Felix. He worked at a well-known book store but he wasn't dealing with the book, nope the music department was his domain, his kingdom. Well, technically the manager's kingdom but still. He and Rose had the same shift today so they just both rode in on his moped. Save gas and energy. Living together as room mate both helped the finances for them both quite a bit. It alway good to have a roommate that understands why all the blankets are hovering a few inches from the ceiling or the unplugged toaster just shorted out, you know the little things. Little did he know the ding at the door would open the door to some new things in both their lives.

▹Fae had been wandering around the city for a bit, now. She used her free hand to feel her modified wrist watch. It had been two hours since the bus had dropped her off.
▹She yearned to know how the city looked today; how the sun reflected of the tall buildings of glass. But I can't. Fae could only listen to the subtle sounds of the automated cars and other vehicles that buzzed down the crowded streets. Even in 2030 the streets were jam-packed with honking vehicles urging each other to move faster and out of the way.
▹She would often bump into people striding down the street, those of which shouting slurs at her and the classic, 'I'm walking here!' But she didn't mind, at last, not that much. She should've moved somewhere that was a living hell for a blind girl to live in. It was so crowded and noisy, and she was terrified that she would get lost. Well, she was lost.
▹She had been searching for somewhere to eat, somewhere relatively quiet and separated from the hustle and bustle of the city streets. Having her eyes closed made that difficult. The young woman stopped her slow, cautious steps to listen to New York's cacophony.
▹A very quiet ringing of a bell could be heard, most likely hanging off of a door leading to some sort of store. Perhaps there she could ask for directions, if she could find her way there.

Rose finished making a group of coffees and looked up as she heard the bell at the front door go off. It was quiet that day so she was able to hear it across the store. She noticed Felix greet the woman at the door and smiled a bit. He was not normally the one to greet people but it made her smile seeing how cute he was. She noted the girl that he was talking too, seeing how different she seemed. Rose looked at her coworker a moment before focusing on the two once more. She noticed the girls inability to move around much and wondered why that was. Her attention was pulled away and she got to work again, cleaning the counters and making sure the place was clean before the lunch rush came.

Felix smirked. Poor girl was shy and lost. "Well food wise we got the cafe' with pastrys and some sandwiches. Rose makes some mean drinks too." He said hoping that would work for her. "I can show you where it is if you like" he said trying to be tactfully but still be nice. He didn't want to be insensitive. Of she was blind prehaps she was good at manuvering other ways. "After your done I can give pretty good directions where you need to go, I know the area well. Feel free to ask." He said if she wanted to be lead over and help ordering he would but he would respect her wishes.

"Oh for sure. I can lead you by hand if that helps." Felix said. If she offered a hand so he could lead he would take it and lead her to the cafe. He paid no mind to the blush, she may be embarrassed to ask for help. "Yo, Rose I got you a hungry customer." He said when they arrived. "I don't remember do we have braille menus?" He tried leaning over the counter to look. The girl had pretty much proved she had seeing issues. So at this point he was trying to make it easy for her.

▹"...I can lead you by the hand..." was all Fae heard. Her heart rate picked up a tad more than it already had been as he took her palm in his.
▹He was so forward! It had been so long since someone had helped her without hesitation. The thought sent a small warmth straight to her heart.
▹"O-oh, thank you..." she muttered quietly.
▹As they walked forward, the scent of coffee beans and cinnamon filled her senses. A light steam hung in the air, though it was not bothersome.
▹The man asked a barista, named Rose, for a braille menu. A woman's voice responded with, "Braille?"
▹The voice was smooth and gentle, nearly the opposite of the man. She spoke kindly to Fae, offering assistance.
▹"Well... do you have hot cocoa?" she asked, grasping the menu tightly. "I-I mean, may I please have some...?"
▹She cringed inwardly at her awkward speech.

Rose watched Felix with the girl and couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. She sighed and tried to brush it off. He was allowed to talk to other girls. It wasn't like she had this imaginary leash on him that stated to other girls that he was hers. They weren't a thing yet. They were just roommates. Shaking the feeling off she looked at the girl. "He's right. That specific hot cocoa is unique but it tastes wonderful." She explained as she smiled at her. "I love to drink it when I'm down or even if it's just chilly outside." She looked over at Felix to watch his with the cds for a moment before focusing once more on the girl in front of her.
