There was a sudden cacophony somewhere in across the street, a man scrambling to get away from a pursuer. Knocking over several metallic trash cans, he sent litter streaming into the street as he clamored on uneasy footing. A sailor senshi had followed closely behind, walking casually while the man fled in the opposite direction.

“Ey, #sshole, skimmin’ people’s pockets ain’t kosher, you get me?”

The man was dressed rather well for what he was accused of doing - a twill business suit and tie, as a matter of fact. It was difficult to tell the color in the darkness, but this man was definitely not a transient. Themisto seemed satisfied when the man tripped over his own feet and fell into the bushes on the side of the road before scrambling further down the street, wailing about ghosts and rising property taxes.

The super senshi stopped short of the crosswalk and sighed, hands on his hips.

“Punk#ss b#itch thinkin’ he can just go nabbin’ people’s cash. What the hell is wrong with folks these days. If you can afford a suit like that, you ain’t got no need to go fingerin’ people’s purses. Cht.” Turning around, he happened to spot someone in a light-colored hood and boots. By the feel of them, another senshi. Themisto gave a wave though he couldn’t see his fellow very well in this low light.

“Ey, sup! You out on patrol too? Nothin’ ‘round here, ‘cept for some petty thieves an’ drunk losers.”

Themisto grateful shook hands with his fellow senshi and gave her a bright smile. "Sailor Themisto. You're bored? Out here? I guess... I guess that makes sense, without any youma or Nega-losers to handle, it can get pretty boring." Themisto nodded and folded his arms, conceding the point. Chasing after petty thieves and criminals was an awful lot less exciting than beating a youma's face into the ground until it shriveled up and died.

"Didju awaken recently? Which cat gotcha? Can't say I asked to be a part'a this whole... whatever this is..." The super senshi waved his hands around, encompassing the whole of Destiny City. He'd heard it being called everything from a gang war to a war for the very survival of mankind, and he wasn't sure what he himself considered it. He just did what he could. "...but I hafta say, the whole running and jumping better n' faster n' stronger? That part's alright with me."

Cocking his head, he noticed Thisbe looked awfully young to be doing this. What were the cats thinking? "You wanna hang out or somethin'? You get food yet?"

"Dude," Themisto scoffed, remembering exactly how everybody at a higher rank had stinky opinions about what a senshi should or shouldn't be doing. "Your time, you do whatever the hell you feel like doin'. That's what I think. Not everybody, you know, asked to be involved in this. Givin' up whatever time n' you know, personal goddamn safety just cuz some talkin' cat asked you to? Nah man, I don't play that game."

Thisbe's admission about being 'awakened' for six years didn't seem to phase Themisto in the slightest. "Ey man, no judgment here. Me too. I ran from that hot garbage for about four years myself. Only recently got all... MC Hammer." The boy gestured to his pants. While he really appreciated the upgrade in terms of footwear, the pants?

The pants he could do without.

"s**t happens." he said with a dismissive shrug. It would be hypocritical to judge Thisbe by a different standard than he would judge himself. "You gotta do what's right for you, magical bullshit be damned, you know? C'mon, let's just get some grub. There's a great Thai place a couple blocks down. You game, Thisbe? Errr... unless you got... dietary restrictions?"

Sheepishly, Themisto chuckled. He should've asked that first.

Themisto hadn't expected her to power down so quickly, but the thought that she trusted him enough was endearing. Was this how Denebola felt about him? Abby, as she was known, thought this whole senshi thing was an adventure. That was nice to know. Themisto himself didn't ask for it, nor did he have much interest initially. It seemed more like they each had to figure out their own interests after the cat awakens them and disappears.

The super senshi followed suit, powering down into a somewhat disheveled, punkish young man in a hoodie and well-loved black jeans. Hands were in his pockets initially, but he removed one to offer to shake.

"Zach Calloway. Call me Zee if you want. I wanna know what life was like six year ago, when you were figure introduced to this whole nonsense. I've only been in four years, and my sister says all sorts of crazy crap was happening back then. You game? I'll buy if you fill me in?"

Maybe Zach managed to find a new friend. He could certainly use more of those.
