[Drabble RP] Prom is Coming! (Ruth, Andrew, Olivia)

Explanations!

Ruth had not expected to suddenly be informed by the student council that she had a date for prom. She remembered the last prom she attended and while her shy violet had been over the moon about it, Ruth herself was ambivalent. She hadn't even considered going to this year's (unless Andrew and Olivia were attending) but that choice had been made for her.

The reaper was certain she never signed herself up for the match making service. And this didn't seem like something Andrew would do to her. Which left only one other person.

Carrying one of the flyers, she marched to the undead dorm to find a specific Wight and once there, she waited for Olivia.

Ruth did not know if she wanted to go to prom. But she also did not know if she didn't want to go to prom. This sort of indecision was not a problem for Ruth until she was signed up and assigned a date. The blonde reaper wasn't all too concerned about appearing rude to her date (whoever they were) if she just didn't show up but a certain undead was involved.

Also Ruth saw the theme and felt it was only right that her Boss be there. It was easy enough to find Andrew and once she found him, she stood there standing and staring at him. Waiting to be noticed.

Andrew was minding his own business when he found his minion Blondie staring at him in the hall. It was time for another game of charades.

He looked at her, and raised his wings slightly, and then raised his eyebrows at her. He too could play at the game.

They the spent the next two hours in a stare off. It was a stand off, was it? Ruth didn't mind that. Creeple watching and just generally being there were her favorite things to do. But alas, there was an objective to her bothering her boss. She was his minion after all, and if he declared that they were to not attend prom, she could always allude to the fact that Olivia had made it so that Ruth had to attend.

But for this moment, she held up the prom poster for Andrew to read.

There was a poster. It had prom on on it. Was she asking him out? He had other commitments. Andrew shook his head.

Then he took the poster and put it back on her head and patted it down.

Explanations!

Thankfully Ruth didn't have to wait very long for the specific Wight to appear at the entrance of the Undead dorms. Her arms were baring a few bags, packages sent from her sisters who - by judging with how much they sent - apparently wanted to attire her whole floor with dresses. They had gotten a little over zealous when they discovered that their younger sister would once again be attending a dance (with a boil. That boil) and wanted to 'help.'

(Even sending things to outfit Andrew).

Olivia didn't mind, of course and found herself more curious at what kinds of things they sent over. And then could only grow more curious when a familiar blonde was just outside standing. A bright smile picked up at her lips and she quickened her step to meet the other ghoul.

He wasn't going? Okay, that wasn't a problem. She let him finish patting the posted down on her head before neatly pulling it off and tucking it away into her jacket pocket.

She started to shiver, rubbing her upper arms before stopping and drawing a question mark in the air.

Explanations!

The poster was brought up, and while Ruth's expression wasn't unpleasant or mean, she was certainly not smiling either as she gestured to the portion about match-making. The only reason it wasn't an all out accusation on Ruth's part was that she wasn't trying to look intimidating or menacing.

Because there were just some things you didn't do no matter what you were and in Ruth's book, that was being too upset with Olivia.

Explanations!

Olivia's eyes immediately fell upon the poster, taking in the whole picture until they were directed to that very specific portion. She clearly remembered what that part was but she took her moment to stare at it before turning to face the ghoul. Who wasn't smiling per say but Olivia sometimes found it difficult to read given her fringe covered the upper half of her face. Was she angry?

To convey how she felt about it without saying a word (because she wasn't going to break tradition outside of that one time), Olivia found her brightest smile as her eyes glowed warmly. She was excited and she wanted her friend to join in on the fun activity after all.

Andrew raised an eyebrow at her shivering and then turned pulling his tail up next to her and turned up the heat.

Andrew was not good at this.

Explanations!

Blast it. There didn't seem to be any way for Ruth to refuse attending prom. At least not with a reason that was I don't want to go. The blonde felt like she'd already gotten everything she ever could from this school's prom added the fact that she couldn't afford anything new.

Her response to that bright smile was an exaggerated silent sigh that had her shoulders dipping forward. With the poster still in her hand, Ruth gestured to her entire body before tugging at the hems of her sleeves, a dismayed look on her face

Ruth would have smacked her palm across her face at Andrew's reaction but she wasn't surprised. Communication with her boss was always a fun challenge. It certainly kept their conversations (whenever they actually had one) interesting for the paranoia agent.

Instead, she shook her head, pulled out the poster and this time gestured to Andrew, shivered in exaggeration, and shaped her fingers into a heart.

It took Andrew a minute to processes what she was saying but he finally figured it out.

"She's not my ghoulfriend." he flushed a bit, clearly annoyed by the implications. Even if they were going together. Even if they totally had plans to go play the games and have fun. "But we are going." he didn't say together.

"I know you can talk." he plopped a wing on her head, and messed up her hair. "It would make life a lot easier if you just did." gone were the days when he just thought she was mute.

Explanations!

Despite her intentions, there was a part of Olivia that would have understood Ruth's reservations on attending; would have given in that the other ghoul didn't want to attend and would be okay with it. Though, the results probably could end with her unintentionally guilt tripping her into going instead as she stared at the other all sadly. Maybe. Depended on how tough Ruth's resolve was. But it didn't seem they were crossing that bridge.

The message had been received, as it were, though Olivia had forgotten a little to confirm that it was indeed her that had signed her up (but that smile might have spoken more volumes really). She still didn't seem pleased making Olivia's lip thin for a moment as her eyes darted about to understand the new gestures. Was Ruth worried about... her outfit? Clothing in general?

Was this going to be another fun thing to do?

Olivia's eyes widened for a moment as her smile returned in full, there was almost a twinkle there as she pointed at Ruth and freed one of her hands. Her weight shifted slightly as she gestured to Ruth, then to the bags and then to the dorm rooms behind the Reaper.

Ruth firmly folded her arms across her chest. It could mean many things and that was sort of the point, wasn't it? Why make it easy when you could make it interesting?

She huffed and looked askance, before taking out the poster to point specifically at the Match-Making portion of the flyer.
