The door to Bix's room was pushed open without a knock.
"Bix? You in?"
Gale stood in the doorway, a tall, willowy shape behind him indicating that he wasn't alone. Jinhai's lightly tanned face peered over his hunter's shoulder, looking as calm and collected as he ever did in this form, dark hair falling over his face in gentle braids.
"Biiiiix," stage whispered Jinhai, just to mimic Gale, who shot him a look.

Bix was currently in his kitchenette fishing out a can of soda from the fridge and a bag of cheesy puffs. "Yeah? Come in dude.." He knew Gale's voice when he heard it, besides there were only so many brits that would come barging into his room. "Cheesy poof?" He was yanking the new bag open with a crinkled plastic sound, "Oh hey Jinhai. Cheezy poof?"

Jinhai smiled. "No thank you," he said politely, "I'm afraid I can't eat in this form, but the offer's appreciated. What are cheesy...poofs? anyway?" he asked, peering at the bag in Bix's hand. "Are they some sort of...snack? They look very odd."
"They taste very odd too," said Gale, but he reached out to take one anyway. "Hey. I came to see if you wanted to hang out or anything. How's your day going?"

"No golem tastebuds huh? I mean maybe you could munch it and spit it out but thats kinda gross... it's like corn they blast with air until it blows up like a balloon and then.. well I guess they roll it in cheese powder." He shoved one in his face and corrected, "They taste good." Bix looked around, looked at his snacks, and then at Gale, "I'm obviously super busy." And being super facetious. He grinned.

"Golems can't eat human food, since they're made of organic material," said Gale, around his mouthful of cheesy poofs. "But you're not missing out on much," he added, unconvincingly to Jinhai, who was still regarding the vibrantly orange snack with a mixture of amusement and curiosity.
Bix was given a pointed look.
"Yes, I can see you're positively mired in super busy things," said Gale dryly. "Come and take a walk with us instead, Sir Busybody."

Bix obviously knew but it was more fun to tease. "A'right-" He said between crunching. Ceres had been gone a while, another base probably, but sometimes you didn't get the freedom to know until someone came back or was able to send you a message. Bix obviously worried but he was very good at pretending he was fine. It got him through the day. "Where we goin? Can I bring cheese poofs?" And did he need a jacket?

"You can bring the cheese poofs," said Gale, with a roll of his eyes. "And we're just gonna walk around the dormitory, I'd rather not be caught out in the rain, and neither would Jinhai."
He reached out and swatted the dragon's hand away from the bag of cheese poofs and gestured for Bix to follow them.
"Getting some fresh air and all and talk."

Bix winked at Jinhai trying to get the cheese poofs. Of course the lifers would be pissed if he gunked up a golem with cheese residue but the appeal was definitely there. "Let's go-" He gestured out the door and slid some boots on before making his way out into the hall with the pair. "How's things?" Gale got a shoulder bump, "How's Stormy?"
