It wasn’t often that she remembered to use her item. Honestly, with all of the crazy stuff that had been happening in the last few months, Lysithea was lucky that she even remembered she had her little fancy unicorn wand…thing. But…tonight she had really felt like playing with it, so she was sitting on the edge of a building, spinning it in her hand, grinning slightly. It was her own personal fidget spinner…with magic, of course.

Suddenly, the wand glowed a faint purple and stopped spinning, the point of it facing to the right of her. Well. This was new.

Lysithea tried to spin the stick again, and again it stopped, pointed in the same direction. Well.

Clearly…she had to follow it.

And follow she did, coming upon a senshi with very pretty reddish pink hair who must have fallen from something. Quickly, the Eternal ran over, kneeling beside her, not caring that she wore black. It didn’t matter. She was hurt, and it was Lysithea’s duty to help everyone, if they wanted it.

“Oh gosh, are you okay? Did you fall off the roof or something? Ugh, that knee looks scraped up pretty badly…I’m Sailor Lysithea…I have healing magic…do you want any help?”

The senshi could always refuse, and honestly, Lysithea half expected it…chaos made people do strange things and react badly to things as well.

There were few things quite as embarrassing as falling off a roof when you were a Sailor Senshi, Asmodeus was pretty sure. But she’d tripped, and fallen, and now she had a nasty scrape on her calf, and...well. She supposed it could have been worse. Would have been, if she wasn’t a Senshi. She could feel an Order Eternal approaching, but she wasn’t per se afraid - she was pretty sure she made a very pathetic not-a-threat picture.

She gave the Senshi a wan smile, stretching out her injured leg.

“I...yeah, that’d be great, I could definitely use some help,” she said. “I’m Sailor Asmodeus.” It was a little bit of a surprise, that she was offering to help so easily, but Asmodeus wasn’t going to turn down a friend.

When she wasn’t met with a refusal, Lysithea smiled brightly, kneeling and taking another look at the calf. It didn’t look so bad that she would need her super magic…but too much healing was always better than not enough.

“Lysithea Healing Horn” The words were spoken softly, and when the energy horn appeared, she held it against the injury. “I’m glad you weren’t hurt worse than this. That must have been a scary thing, honestly. It’s so hard sometimes with the shoes we’re given…it wasn’t bad for my first two stages, I had pretty sturdy boots, but now I have these cute little heels and I’m honestly a hot mess when it comes to jumping around in these things sometimes.”

She looked the girl over and offered another smile. “What…are you the senshi of, Asmodeus? I love your outfit, it looks so fancy and tough. I’m honestly perhaps a little envious. I’ve always just looked like a fairy princess.”

Asmodeus watched as the injury healed under the touch of the magic horn, and she let out a little sigh. This was...a really, really welcome improvement. It was nice to not be tossed around because she was wearing the wrong color, and she would much rather make friends than make enemies. So she gave the other Senshi a light smile, and nodded along.

“Every time I think I’m used to these things,” she gestured at her boots, “they remind me that I never will be. But, I mean, the tradeoff is that they’re cute as heck. Thanks,” she rolled the boot back up over where she’d been injured, glad that she wouldn’t have to work around it for the rest of the night.

“I’m, uh,” she coughed, “the Senshi of the Inferno. Like, kinda hellfire and brimstone?” She shrugged her shoulders. “It’s cool, but I’d love something fairytale. I mean, you look amazing.” She looked up and down, and considered the magic she’d seen. “Can I take a guess at what you are? Unicorns, maybe?”

Senshi of the…Inferno. Well. Now. That was an interesting sphere, and Lysithea blinked and nodded. “That…that’s an interesting sphere…you must have really impressive magic to go along with that. Is it offensive? I had healing for my first two magics…the one I just used was from when I was a super senshi, but when I reached eternal, I finally got something that was offensive, thank goodness.”

Grinning, Lysithea nodded. “You got it. Senshi of unicorns…what gave it away? The horn on my head or all the sparkles that I have on my outfit?”

This girl seemed really nice. It was…it was always nice to meet someone from the other side who didn’t feel like fighting. Talking and being friends was always such a better way. At least she had always thought that was the case. “So…you’re a dark mirror senshi, right? Do you like it? I have to admit, you guys have really good fashion sense. I don’t know, I’ve always liked black with pops of color, it just…looks nice together. I haven’t met many of you, but…you guys seem a lot more rational than those that I’ve met in the Negaverse. So, you have that going for you.” She gave a grin, hoping to show that she wasn’t trying to step on any toes. She didn’t want to turn this friendly chat into anything less….friendly.

Asmodeus laughed, a little. “It’s...kind of?” She said. “It’s a ring of fire - traps people in, or keeps them out. And can also set people on fire if they touch it.” She shrugged her shoulders. It wasn’t too impressive, in her opinion, but she remembered her future self having something much better. That, though, was a story far too long and complicated to get into easily.

She met the grin with a smile of her own. “A little of all of the above,” she replied, light and teasing.

And then the questions came, and her expression sobered to something much more serious. “Yeah, I’m a Dark Mirror, but….” She sighed. “To be honest, I’m not happy there.” She stared down at her hands. “It’s not a good fit, I guess. We do look stylish, and we’re definitely less crazy than the Negaverse, but...honestly, sometimes we’re a little too chummy with them for my tastes. I mean, the Negaverse does nothing but hurt people, and…” She stopped. “The Court is full of good people. It’s just….not for me.”

Her attack could set people on fire. Why hadn’t Lysithea gotten that? That sounded…quite fabulous. She paused though, frowning slightly as the senshi before her said that she wasn’t happy where she was. Well. Perhaps…

Reaching out to touch Asmodeus’s shoulder, Lysithea smiled, the expression full of sympathy. “I’m sure there’s a way out though. There’s always a way out of chaos…you just have to find it. And when you do, you won’t be alone. I’ll talk to the people I’m living with, but I’m sure they wouldn’t mind you staying with us for a little while as you got your life together again. I know that I wouldn’t. And we have an extra room…so don’t let that be what stops you from getting out.”

The smile grew and excitement bubbled behind the expression. “I’m sure you’d look even better in white. It would suit you. And we could be friends, and go shopping and…it would be great. I need more friends who are girls…who are my age. You seem like you’re at least around my own age. It might be fun.” She could already see it. Kicking a** and taking names…a burning unicorn of death.

Ah. If only.

Asmodeus gave her a slightly wobbly smile. That was painfully sweet - to just offer a stranger a place to stay once she got away from Chaos. It...was sort of exactly the thing she needed, some assurance that there would be a safety net waiting for her when she got over to the other side. She wouldn’t be lost and alone in white, she’d...maybe have a friend. Maybe more than one waiting.

“Thank you,” she said. “I might have to take you up on that.” Because she was already fairly certain that she was done with the Mirror. It was just about finding things on the other side to give her hope that she could make it there, too. And here that was, with a whole bucket of enthusiasm and offered friendship to go with.

“I...gosh, I’d love all of that,” she said, and she felt her eyes watering with genuine, happy tears. “Is there a way I can find you again? When I go over? Because I think...I think we really could be good friends.” It was a wonderful thing to picture, running around and just...being girls. Enjoying life. Because Asmodeus had finally taken initiative and gotten herself out of the Mirror.

Yes, that was exactly what she needed to be picturing.

“Well…” Lysithea was thoughtful for a moment, then nodded slowly. “How about we just…set up a meeting once a week or so. We can talk and figure out how to get you over to our side. I know…I know this woman, her name is Cosmos…she uh…she purified my boyfriend. Because he was in the Negaverse. That was kind of an awkward shock for me, let me tell you.” While she trusted this other senshi, she was still a little wary of trusting her too much, especially where Zac and Evan were concerned. When she came over to her side, sure, but right now…she would still keep some secrets.

When she noticed the tears, however, Lysithea frowned and hesitated a moment, before wrapping her arms around the other girl. “Hey, don’t cry. This is what we’re supposed to do. We’re supposed to try to help people, that’s our…well, that should be our overall goal. If we can save those who are affected by chaos…then we can end all of the fighting and get on with our lives.”

It was something that being a healer had taught her. Fighting wasn’t everything, and just because you hurt someone bad enough that they stopped fighting back, didn’t mean that you won. “So…come and see me again next week, okay? We’ll meet right here…but don’t go falling off the roof again, we can meet without you having to hurt yourself.”

That was a hell of a story, certainly, but the name “Cosmos…” That was new and important. She had never really heard of a person called Cosmos before - just Hvergelmir calling herself a “Knight of the Cosmos.”

Perhaps there was a connection, there.

“That does sound crazy,” Asmodeus agreed, and she reached up to try and wipe the tears away, but found herself drawn into a hug before she really could. She sniffled, wrapping her arms around Lysithea as well, and just let herself enjoy being hugged. “I’m sorry, I just...it’s been a really long road.” One that had included being attacked for her colors more than once, and offered a few glorious, shining moments of kindness - from Remarque, from Hvergelmir, and now from Lysithea. It was...a little overwhelming.

“I’ll...yeah, I’ll come find you in a week,” she promised. And she meant it. “Maybe if we’re really lucky, I’ll come find you already in white.”

“And if you’re not already in white, we’ll work on getting you there together, okay? You’re not alone in this fight, Asmodeus. We’re in this together. I won’t give up on you, so don’t you ever go and give up on yourself, okay?”

She was quiet for a moment, still holding the other senshi and sighed softly. “And you know, we’ll always be friends, you and me. As long as you’re not hurting those I care about, I could care less what side you’re on. If something happens that makes you feel more comfortable in your court, then stay there. This isn’t something that you should ever feel pressured about. I’m here for you, regardless of the fact that you’re in black or white. I’m just…here for you. So…that’s that.”

Finally Lysithea drew away and smiled once more. “Be careful going home, okay? No more falling off roofs. Seriously. You could end up getting really hurt, so stay away from the edges!” She waggled a finger in mock scolding, and then laughed, shaking her head. “See you in a week, Asmodeus. I can’t wait.”

Regardless of what she said…Lysithea honestly did want her to come to the white moon…but she wasn’t going to force her…if she found a way to be happy, then they would just remain friends from afar…but…still. She wanted a friend for real.
