Rugged Good Looks Rumors had begun to sprinkle into Matori of the appearance of the bug men at the meeting in Oba, monsters people were calling “The Dretch”. And while it had been advised that people travel in groups, not everyone had that luxury: Leukos had no one in Matori he could use as an escort. He was here alone. So even though the idea of being taken away by some awful creature to meet a no-doubt gristly fate gave Leukos one more reason to lose sleep at night, he just had to put those kinds of thoughts out of his mind and persist through it. Besides, so long as he stayed in crowded places, what were the chances those things would target him after all?
So he had steeled his mind against the idea and set out into the city once again, determined to not let this news interfere with his current life. He’d been making enough money here to have a bit of disposable income, and dammit, he was gonna spend it! On a new rug to be exact: he needed a soft yet durable place for him and Kyro to sit on the streets when they weren’t performing. This need had drawn him to the marketplace in search of such an item, strolling from booth to booth with his colorful Alol perched on his shoulders. It was interesting being able to compare the different styles that were popular here and in Oba, and he found himself enjoying this break from his work filled life. He really did love shopping.
Leukos gave this next booth he stopped at a quick once-over, using a discerning eye for design and color that was rather unimpressed with what it saw. He was just about to leave when he caught the very corner of a beautifully detailed rug poking out of a large stack, making a beeline for the hefty pile of textiles under the shaded canopy. After rubbing the fibers between his fingers approvingly, he had to glance around, looking for the owner of the booth as he mumbled, “Now how do I get this out of here…?”

Mano was currently moving through the marketplace looking at anything and everything that might be able to spruce up the house that he'd bought. Not only did he have to do a lot of repairs, which wasn't something he was used to doing. Still, he was eager to learn if it meant to turning a house into a home, one that he could raise a family in one day. Even just the shopping trip was a slow going process but it would definitely be worth it in the end. At least that was what he was hoping for. Presently he had seen about buying more lumber, which would be delivered for him much to his relief. He would have had to end his trip already if he had to carry it himself which would have made the outing incredibly boring. With the lumber salesman agreeing to drop the stuff off Mano found himself with a lot more time on his hands to shop for other things. The sorts of fiddly bits that would make things more comfortable. He just had to figure out what he wanted those comfortable things to be. A nice, big bed would be amazing! Giving a bit of a grin at that he found himself debating over exactly how big he wanted it. At least big enough for his Honey, himself, and one other person to be named later. As he thought that he came to pause in front of a place that seemed to be selling fancy rugs and instantly he could see the fun those could be. As such he started to drift closer, inspecting them closely alongside another Matorian. Giving the handsome guy a glance he smiled, "Planning some fun too?" He asked, as though everyone's minds ran the same way that his own did.

Leukos felt a presence drift next to him, taking a moment before responding to the unexpected inquiry, “I’m sorry, was that directed at me?” He looked up away from the rug that had caught his interest towards the person who had spoken. As it turned out, the voice belonged to a rather attractive Matoran man who might be a warrior, by the look of it. Giving a quick head to toe appraisal with his eyes Leukos smiled charmingly before returning his attention to the rug again, fiddling with the tasseled fringe along the textile. “I wouldn’t go so far as to say I’m planning for fun…” He cast the tall stranger a knowing look out of the corner of his eye, “…rather looking for something that’s easy on the eyes and just as nice to lie on~”

Mano gave a bit of a chuckle and said, "Well, you're the only other one at the moment rug shopping other then myself so... yes, pretty Sapphire, I meant you." Turning his attention back to the stacks of rugs he found himself debating on them. He would need something plush and comfortable for what he had in mind for said piece. Giving a glance around he started to size up the rugs, trying to spot one that might meet his needs. As he did so the other Matorian who he'd dubbed 'Sapphire' for his pretty colored hair explained to him what he was looking for. Giving a laugh he said, "That sounds like fun to me." Something easy on the eyes and nice to lie on... sounded good to Mano.

“Indeed…” Leukos mused with half of his attention diverted. Sapphire…that’s what he’d called him. Should he enlighten the man with his real name, or keep using the pseudonym? He found it to be rather charming, so for the moment, Leukos refrained from revealing that information. Instead he reclined part of his weight on the stack of rugs as he leaned a shoulder against them, gesturing with a free hand, “Perhaps you can help me out? This lovely rug right here has caught my eye, but I’m afraid trying to get it out alone might cause a bit of a colorful avalanche.” He tipped his head with a grin, arching a brow at him, “And I have been told that two heads are better than one after all.”
After the gentle jostling the Alol on his shoulders chirped in a way that sounded both mildly offended and curious at the same time, tasting the air with its open mouth. This was an earthling in close contact to the one it had come to know as a friend, and the creature found itself quite interested in what the man was doing so near. Leukos reached up a hand to absentmindedly scratch the bottom of Kyro’s chin, never really taking his eyes off the handsome stranger, “Two heads not including one scaly reptile at least~”

Mano gave a bit of a whistle as the dark haired Matorian leaned against the stack of rugs in a pose he found he could quite appreciate before asking for a bit of help. Giving a nod of his head he said, "I don't see why not. I'd be only too happy to help out someone as lovely as you." He said before giving the stack of rugs a once over. He had to admit it would be a bit of a feat to get the one that the pretty Sapphire wanted but he felt that together they could probably get it free. So long as Mano lifted the rugs on top of it best he could and let the other male wiggle the one he wanted free from rest. After thinking on the plan for a moment he said, "I think I might be able to lift the ones on top up to a degree if you want to try to tug yours free of them?" There was no reason to have the strength that Mano had other then showing off if you asked him. Here was to hoping lifting the rugs up as much as he could would actually help or he might end up looking a bit foolish. Offering up a prayer in his head to On'os as the God of Fortune always seemed to be on his side he moved to gathered the rugs up and lifted them up as high as he could given their considerable weight when they were working in a team against him.

In the moments between asking the question and the Matoran actually lifting the rugs, Leukos moved to get both hands on the corner of rug poking out of the pile in order to get a good grip on it. Then as the weight was lifted off from up top, he tugged with his own considerable strength to wiggle it free…taking a moment of self-indulgence to glance at the flexing muscles of the stranger as they coiled and bunched beneath his blue skin. Very nice. He’d have to make it a habit to ask for assistance from beefy men more often~
And after a moment or two of finagling with the carpet, he was able to get it free, taking a steadying step back as the thing popped loose from its confinement. He barked out a brief little relieved laugh, holding up the rug triumphantly for the other man to see, “Aha! There we go, much easier to look at it!” Leukos shifted it from side to side, holding the thing up approvingly, “It’s just as nice as I had hoped; look at all the detailed weaving here in the center, I didn’t even get to see this before! This might even be metallic threads used here and there, how interesting…” He drew his attention away from the piece to smile at the one who had helped him snag this find, “You have my thanks; I couldn’t have gotten it out without your help.”

Mano found his focus split between holding up the rugs and watching the pretty Sapphire as he wiggled and pulled on the rug, giving him quite the show. In fact he nearly ended up buried under the rugs at one point because he let himself get a bit too distracted. It was rather lucky for him that the other man was able to finally pull free the rug that he wanted, allowing Mano to put the rest of them back into place. Phew! Done and done he thought to himself, brushing his hands off on his pants.
As he did so he was treated to another show as the other man showed off the rug he'd picked out, seeming to be more and more impressed with the piece now that he had freed it from the rug pile. He was sure that if the maker of the rug was close enough to hear him that he had to be pleased with such compliments on their work. Giving a smile he said, "It is a really nice piece." Though he found himself wondering if metallic threads would end up pokey if one were to lay on such a rug. If had him stepping closer so that he could give the rug a couple test pokes as though curious to find out. Hmmm, it didn't seem to be something he even noticed since the metallic threads weren't the majority of the piece.
"Heh, it's not a problem. I am only too happy to lend my body to anyone that asks." He said, giving the other man a wink.

Leukos held the hefty textile firmly in place as the other moved in for a closer inspection, glad to be able to enlighten him a bit; more people should appreciate the finer details in life. If we could not stop to admire fine beauty, then why should anyone bother creating it? He began rolling up the thing into a thick tube once the stranger’s inspection had been completed, cheeks tingeing a slight pink at the words to follow. So straightforward. He wasn’t even trying to hide the innuendo. Once the carpet was completely rolled up he propped it on the ground by his feet, casting a look about the place again. Where on earth was the stall manager? This was pretty cruddy customer service. Leukos took his alol off of his shoulders and propped him atop the coiled rug, freeing himself up to move about. As the reptile got itself settled on the strange new surface, Leukos stepped a bit closer to the tall Matoran, feigning interest in another one of the rugs next to him, “Really now? Don’t go throwing claims around like that so easily; I just might have to take up the offer in borrowing your muscles again. Transporting these sorts of things can be heavy after all.”
“Although…” he mused as he took another step closer, eyes making a beeline for the man’s nether regions, then back up to his face with a coy grin, “…I’m usually rather skilled at handling hefty things. I never lose my grip on them~” And at that he flicked his long fingers demonstratively, fingering the fringe on the edge of one of the many numerous rugs in the booth.

Mano was aware that he'd come to the marketplace so that he could see about gathering things for the house but now all of that was completely forgotten. Well, maybe not forgotten so much as just set aside for the time being. Would it hurt to take a bit of time out of his day so that he could enjoy the company of a fellow Matorian? Something that had him grinning a bit. Nope! It should be fine. A bit of fun and then he'd head for home.
As the other said he shouldn't going throwing around claims such as the one he'd made he said, "Oh, it's no mere boast, pretty Sapphire, but instead words of completely honesty." Of course he hoped for a little more then just carrying the rug for the cutie but even then he'd already offered so... if that was all that the guy wanted of him he supposed he could oblige.
A moment later he started to get the idea that it might not be just his rug moving abilities the other was interested in. Giving a toothy grin he said, "I rather like the sound of that... though it's a skill I might want to see in action just to make sure." On something other then some rugs he thought to himself, finding himself feeling a touch of envy of said rugs. An odd feeling but one he couldn't completely shake.

With a serpentine slowness Leukos moved in closer still, nearly bumping chests with the other man as his hand drifted forward, catching hold of one of the lochs of viridian peaking over his ear as Leukos purred, “Well then, handsome Emerald…I’ll have to oblige your wishes. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the other skills I can put into action as well~” He tugged the strand of hair teasingly for a moment, twirling it about his finger as he pulled away. “But first, I’ll have to speak to the owner of this fine establishment. Could you be a dear and watch the merchandise as I go make the arrangements?”
He released the last tether to the other man as he walked off, on a mission to retrieve the elusive vendor. They had to get the fun underway, but business came first. After stalking between more large piles, he eventually located the man, leading him back to his find. Following some gestures to the aforementioned rug and a bit of haggling, money was passed between the two, and a bill of sale was written up. Returning triumphant with the piece of paper, he scooped up the colorful alol from his perch on the rug, resting the reptile again on his broad shoulders as he folded the slip into his money purse. Everything back in its proper place~

Giving a little whistle Mano found that he couldn't help but to appreciate the other Matorian. He didn't even know the guy's name, having given him a nickname as was Mano's want to do with people, and that felt like enough at the moment. Especially since the other man seemed to follow suit, referring to him by a jewel name as well. It was a game that Mano was very much enjoying playing with the too pretty stranger. As he was asked to watch the merchandise while he went to make arrangements Mano gave a nod, "Can do." He said, waiting next to the rug that he was left in charge of. A few moments of haggling later and his new friend was returning, looking quite pleased with himself. Once the alol had been picked up Mano leaned over, scooping up the rug, draping it over one shoulder to make it easier to carry, "If you want to lead I will happily follow." He felt that the view would be a more then agreeable one.

Taking the opportunity to glance at the man’s backside as he leaned over, Leukos got a nice eyeful before he pulled them away, feigning innocence once he was back at eye level. Such a considerate man, so accommodating…he stroked the frills along Kyro’s back absentmindedly, raising an inquisitive brow as he voiced a question, “Is your business concluded here as well? Surely there is a reason that brought you out here on such a warm day, to this part of the city. Didn’t you need to buy anything?” With a little smirk he tossed his long hair, propping a hand at his hip with a flourish, “Or did you only find one thing that caught your fancy?”

Mano gave a lazy sort of half shrug before he said in a flirty tone of voice, "I have some more business but it's nothing that can't wait now that I've given myself to you, Sapphire. I'm more then happy to follow you anywhere you'd like me to." It had been on the tip of his tongue to tell the pretty Sapphire that the reason he was here to buy wood... but he decided to save that joke for later. He felt that the rest of his shopping could wait until later, or another day, especially if it meant helping out someone like Sapphire. "Oh yeah, I definitely found something to catch my fancy in you, Sapphire." He was very easy on the eyes, especially given his current pose, and completely won Mano's attention. As such there was no way that he could be bothered with shopping.

“Well, if you’re set on that decision…” He wasn’t sure how he felt about interrupting him if the man had made other plans for the day, especially since they were just doing this on a whim. But he’d offered to help him out with his new purchase without Leukos bringing it up at all, so it seemed like he really was fine with it. Plans change after all; Leukos knew that very well by now.
So he rejoined the Matoran near his hip, offering in a sing-song tone, “Then I think it’s only fair that I treat you to lunch, since you’ve been so good about helping me so far. Do you have a craving for anything in particular?” He slipped his hand onto the other Matoran's arm, winking back at him, “I find I currently have the taste for fish on my mind, how about you~?”
