If anyone had told Dragon's Blood that morning she would be visited by the three most stupid possible lions on the Savannah, she'd have laughed them right off and demanded tithe to the dragons. Nobody was so ignorant as to miss something so obvious as the end of a trail in a seer's vision, but here she was,m staring owen three lions missing such an obvious answer from her she wanted to sit on all three untiul someone helped kidnap them into the Muse cave because they were obvioyusly craziuer than she was...
And she talked to dragons. Yet here she was and here they were, and the female stared before slowly deciding to speak.
"You]'re kidding me right?" She asked.
The trio had arrived that morning seeking any pride member, and Dragon's Blood had been near enough to meet them, the small curly lioness approaching carefulkly.
"Excuse me," She hade asked. "Do you know of any lions cubnapped some years ago from a distant pride?"
It had ruled out the Bahari fiasco she heard about, but the lioness was about to reply she had not when her visions crept up. A white, distant lioness birthing the female, and then, older, the male. And looking now, their base pelt and white fur tones were close enough. The dark shoulder? Close enough. The scent? close enough.
And these three were missing this because....
"Uhm." Was a;ll Dragonmsblood could get out, and here she was. The one situation the mummer didn't expect.
"Uhm what?" Damla grumbled at the red, draconic lioness idly, expression souring rapidly. "Uhm you don't know? Uhm you need to think? Out with it!"
Damla raised a paw to sdwat, and Shido moved, putting a paw on her gbently.
"Don't. This is her land, not ours. It's not worth it." The male soothed. He was odd -- and Damla was confused by his female-like behaviour. Was he seriously a boy? Really? Damla snorted, and sighed, Ifa looking to Dragon's Blood apologetically.
"Sorry, we just met her, and coming was her idea--"
And Dragon's Blood visibly sighed, Damla growling.
"STOP THAT!" The female snapped. She bared teeth, but only a moment, as Dragon's Blood reached... And pat her head with her paw.
"Nope. Can't stop. Won't stop. Honey, darlin', if ya'll actually talked like normal people you'd find the answers." Was Dragon's Blood having fun? Yes./ Yes she did enjoy tormenting these three, bnut it was so fun. Especially when the grouchy fem,a;e snorted and grumbled about damn tricky lionesses. The smallest lion, another female... Well, Ifa sighed, pawing Damla to calm her - but it was the over-fluffed male that seemed to 'Get' it. He tilted his head, and looked to Dragon's Blood with wide blue eyes - proving as he looked to Damla that blue eyed lions were significantly better as he sputtered.
"Damla?"
The larger lioness fr4oze, staring at Shido warily and raising a brow, Dragon's Blood having to mask a smirk with her paw.
"I never told you my name." Damla growled. Shido shook his head, sighing.
"That's... My sister's name. Mom sauid she was taken as a cub." Shido said softly. Damla paused, then froze.
The implications were... A lot. He paw twitched, and she shivered, up and down, and looked to the draconic lioness watching. Dragon's Blood had long since lowered her paw, respecting the serious moment in a rare bout of calm and patience, the lioness shrugging.
"I can't tell your fortunes, but I had a vision of you both. From the same female."She murmured. Damla shivered, Ifa putting her paw on Damla's as she whined.
"But... I.... Mother..."
"It happens in the world." Ifa tried soothing. Damla cringed, shrinking back in alarm. Dragon'sblood watched, remaining silent, but could see the feeling in the female's eyes. Fear, confusion... She must have no memory of her real mother, then. This would shock her, given she seemed used to being alone - or oughgt to be with that attitude. Oh well... Much as Dragon's Blood wanted to steal them into the pride, that female was WAY too bitey to consiuder. No, best play the wise, lonely soothsayer...Or some other smarmy bullswhit, and Dragon's Blood pat her paw with her own.
"You'll be alright. I'm sure your kidnappers lovbed you, but your birth family might too." She said. Damla grumbled.
"Right, sure. That's why they left." Damla hissed, teeth baring some. "While I was still younger. And look, my birth mother has other cubs." Damla huffed, and Shido finally moved, putting a paw on her suddenly.
"Mother hasn't recovered. She wants to see us find you. She wants to know you. You can't just blow that off. Damla, consider mother's feelings!" The male scolded,m and Damla shrank away, frowning.
"Consider? Consider?! If I was so missed, she'd have acted!" Damla snapped, and bturned, growling. "You don't know that she wanted me. None of you do. None of you give twelve damns in any of the hells out there do you? Well, you can go home alone."
The female turned, stalking off, and Shido cringed, rising to follow Damla's trai. Ifa moved as well, and paused, looking to Dragon's Blood warily.
"Should we... Uhm..." Ifa began softly.
"Yereeaah, probably." The female seer responded idly. "There's been weird lions outside the jungle lately makin' me all sorts of uncomfory, so it can't hurt to be cautious." The lioness shrugged, and smiled. "Besides! Who knows? You might get her talked down once the wangst runs it's course. Uh. Hopefully. If you don't run into aforementioned asswaves."
A shrug, and Ifa sighed.
"Well, we can at least try..."
"Trying is all you can do." Dragon's Blood noted, and sighed, chuckling. "That's all anyone can do. That, and offer the dragpns a tithe."
At that, Ifa stared, before sighing, turning and shaking her head. Yup. Time to go.
"Riiiiight... Well thanks again. I'm going to go help them before something derm happens."
Dragopn's Blood nodded, and watched as the last female dashed off, before chuckling to herself.
Handled like a boss.
