Remarque had told her that in going back into Mirrorspace, more of the strange crystals had been found, he also said that it seemed like the place had stopped trying to kill all of them, so that was a good thing. Lesath liked her crystal, and enjoyed taking it out to look at it, honestly it still surprised her that it still had the condensation on it. Obviously it wasn’t a normal gem, she had figured that from the get-go, but…she wondered just what kind of magic had been hiding in it.
Now the blonde eternal was just waiting for her girls to show up. She had invited both Kibirev and Lovejoy back to mirrorspace, hoping that they would also find a crystal. She figured they didn’t really do anything, the crystals, not the girls…but hey. It wasn’t quite fair that they had gone through all the torment of that night and didn’t get anything from it. It was only fair for mirrorspace to give each of them something shiny too.
Now the two just had to get here. --- Kelly had not wanted to go. From the moment she had received the text from Raven, she had been against it. Why on earth would she want to back to that horrible place? How could Raven ever think she would want to? It was madness…and not even the good kind of madness. But…
Here she was, powered up again, waiting for whatever was going to happen, and unhappy as anything, hiding behind Lovejoy. She wished that she had just stayed home…if she ended up getting hurt again…this was stupid. There wasn’t going to be any crystals…that place…that mirrorspace place had nothing but horrors, and honestly, Kibirev wanted nothing more to do with it. Ever.

When Bea had gotten the same text, there had been some hesitance in her own decision. They had almost died in the Mirrorspace. Died. There was no magic that would bring them back, no vampires or zombie mode to turn into - nothing. Big, fat, END OF STORY, do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars. Bea had never even seen two hundred dollars before, all at once. But the promise of a magical crystal had her mesmerized and somehow, somehow, she was finding herself alongside her best friend as she arrived at the meet up spot with Lesath. "C'mon, Kib." She tugged on the senshi behind her, trying to put on a brave face as she glanced to the other girl, "It'll be okay. Lesath will make sure of it, she's got a good head on her shoulders - wouldn't have picked us to join her elsewise, right?" Turning towards the blonde, she grinned. "Isn't that right, Miss Lesath?"

“Of course it’ll be okay. I wouldn’t risk your necks, or my own, don’t worry. I made Remarque go in first, so I know it’s safe.” Lesath gave a little grin, extending her hands towards the girls and sighing softly. “I’m sorry the last time I took you there turned out so…so awful. I hadn’t bargained on any of that happening, I promise and…if I could go back and take it all back…I would but…we all survived. Somehow. That’s a good thing at least, right? And it was good training…plus…you got to…meet everyone?” Kind of.
They were piss poor excuses, she knew but…she wanted these girls to be comfortable, and judging by the look that Kibirev was currently giving her…at the very least she was not comfortable. “Come on, guys…we’ll just stay there for a few minutes…if we don’t find anything, we’ll come right back, okay? I don’t want to be in danger, and I don’t want to put either of you into danger either, I promise.” --- Kibirev scoffed at that and did not take the hand that was offered. “I really, really don’t think this is a good idea, LJ. I really, really don’t. And I’d really rather just go home.” She reached out her own hand and gripped the other senshi’s skirt, tugging on it. “Seriously. What do we need some dumb crystal for anyway…”
What if they really got killed this time? What if they fell down a pit and never could get out again? What if Lesath just up and left them like she had done the last time they did this…besides…what could a stupid rock possibly do for either of them anyway? It was dumb. This was all dumb. “LJ, I really think we shouldn’t do this…”

Her hand snatched the one on her skirt and she sulked at her best friend. Kelly (or Kib, technically) had far more beauty than courage for her own good and Lovejoy wasn't going to let her hesitance get in the way of them both getting shiny rocks of their own. " Other people have gotten rocks. I want a rock. We deserve rocks, after almost dying for them." She felt her reasoning was logical and, feeling so, she reached over and took hold of Lesath's outreached hand with her free one. Even if they ended up finding danger, they were with a grown senshi. An Eternal senshi. It was like having a safety guard, like a silver bullet around werewolves or a stake around vampires. It was a surefire backup plan. "We'll be in and out in a jiff, that's what she said. C'mon, Kibby - we've got this." Tugging the other young senshi's hand, she gave her a pleading look. " Please?"

Lesath grinned and held onto Lovejoy’s hand, tugging both girls towards the mirror and into it before Kibirev could put up anymore protests. Remarque had said he hadn’t gone very far into mirrorspace in order to find other crystals with the ones he took in…so hopefully that would be the case tonight too. Honestly, she didn’t think that Kibirev could take much more than a short trip.
“All right girls. We’re going to find you some crystals. They’re not rocks, Lovejoy, they’re…more than that. At least mine is. They’re really quite pretty. No idea what the point of them is…but we all almost died to find them…and now they’re just popping up everywhere, at least that’s what Remarque told me.”
She beckoned for the two to follow her down one of the halls, glancing around as she did so, hoping that they could find something quickly and leave, because there was one unhappy senshi here, and the sound of her whimpers was getting louder by the moment. --- Kibirev was an unhappy senshi, and she clung to Lovejoy’s hand with a vice grip as they were led back into mirrorspace. She had really hoped that they would just…go in and find something and leave but…Miss Lesath was saying that they would have to travel deeper into the place, and honestly, she just felt like crying.
It didn’t matter that they would get rocks. They could find rocks everywhere…she could go out to a store and find a crystal, she would get one for Lovejoy if that’s all she wanted. This was stupid…and scary. And the longer they were in here, the more unhappy she felt…and when the rock fell on her head, she let out a bloodcurdling shriek, sure that the place was falling in on them, sure that this was the end and they were all going to die. Her hand reached up to get whatever had fallen off of her head, she paused and held the crystal out, lower lip trembling.
Well…she got a crystal after all. Except getting it had nearly killed her. “Can…can we go now…” The question was meek, and she held the red crystal out to LJ, hoping that the other senshi would take it and they could go home and she would never have to come to this place again. Ever.

Lovejoy was too excited to feel chided by Lesath's correction. Crystals, rocks, gems - it didn't matter what they were called, just as long as they were able to get one for themselves. She and Kibby had nearly died and walked away empty-handed. As far as she was concerned, they were both owed at least one small, sparkly pretty for their troubles. As they explored further into Mirrorspace, she could feel her friend's hesitance in the death-grip around her dark glove. She winced from the tightness, but found herself completely distracted from the pain when the sudden shriek behind her nearly had her leaping out of her skin. Kibirev had been struck by some falling debris and looked like she was about to cry. Finally, long overdue, Lovejoy felt guilty. Really, really, really guilty. So instead of going deeper in search of the perfect rock -- er, crystal --- she glanced to the side and plucked up an ordinary looking grey one. It was deceptively heavy for its size and didn't shine like Kibby's red one... but it was a crystal and LJ would have to be satisfied with that. Heck, maybe it was so ordinary that it was secretly extraordinary? She could hope, at least. "Yeah, I'm good to go if you are, Kibby," she conceded, glancing back up to Lesath with a sheepish look. "Thank you for taking us, ma'am."

The scream nearly had Lesath jumping out of her skin as well and she whirled around to make sure that the two were okay. She saw that Kibirev had a crystal in her hand, and she was about to say something, when Lovejoy reached down and grabbed a grey piece of stone.
Well…she was sure…she hoped at least that…
Well. It looked like a normal rock, and when both girls were now asking to leave, Lesath sighed. “All right. Let’s head back…”
Honestly, she was feeling terribly guilty for suggesting this…perhaps she should have just left Kibirev home.
Perhaps she should have never brought Kibirev into this nonsense at all… --- When Lovejoy reached out and picked up another stone, Kibirev frowned, opening her mouth to protest, to insist that Lovejoy take this one. The one that hit her on the head. It would be perfect. Lovejoy was something special…she was the grey, boring rock…
But…at least they were going to get out of here. Quietly, Kibirev gave her own words of thanks and reached out for Lovejoy’s hand once again, holding onto it a bit more gently this time. She’d find a way to make up for ruining her friend’s great adventure…but perhaps that wouldn’t be today…maybe tomorrow.
She’d figure out some way to fix this…but for now, she just wanted to go to bed. And stay there.
