Liath had to admit that Junior year had put him through the ringer. He had started Junior year with a plan. He was going to be a doctor, Gwen was going to be his girlfriend and everything was going to work out perfect. He had done everything in his power to win her over. He had given her gifts from events, he had won her plushies from games. He even gave her flowers when asking her to be his date to Junior prom. In the end, it had never been enough he just couldn't match with Gwen's fascination with the hollowed girl. He didn't understand it, her eyes seemed just as messed up as hers and while his wasn't a mutation he figured his birth defect couldn't really be that much different.

Liath was coming to terms with being alone. He knew now the only thing in the world that made him happy was his baking and cooking. He no longer cared about being a doctor, no longer cared about changing the world or fixing his eyes. Now he wanted to own his own restaurant, he could cook food all day and not have to deal with people and their problems that were all he really wanted. He knew it was a big shift to go from a doctor to a lowly cook but it was something he felt his goblin family could be proud of. Something he could do that wouldn't remind him of this terrible painful part of his life.
