Lillium wondered aimlessly through the thick forest. She found that the shadows of the trees soothed her, and it was easier for her to hide here as she blended into the flora and fauna around her. She was dazed and confused. She hadn't remembered how she had gotten to the forest in the first place. All she knew was that she was there. And her name. She didn't recall anything beforehand. Where was she from? Did she have family? Was she part of a herd? How old was she?

Hundreds of questions races through her mind, as one hoof placed itself before the other on the leaf-litter strewn ground. The litter was damp, so that even didn't make a sound. It was just her, and the sounds of the forest, and no answers to the questions to asked herself.

With no real destination in mind, Aristos had meandered from his usual wandering grounds, the territories familiar to his family and even his usual escape routes. His family were happy with their routines, which was all well and good, but the world at large held many interesting things and he was quite determined to glimpse as many as he could. As such, Aristos started out the day with a rather simple goal: he was in search of something new, something interesting or intriguing enough to invest time in. His usual sources of entertainment were otherwise engaged, and as they could be of no help to him today he had elected to make his own fun.

A pity it wasn't going so well as one would hope, but entertainment could be an elusive mistress should she chose. Still, after a lazy, drifting and looping flight in his smaller form, he resumed his larger size and strode beneath the trees, adornments chiming softly as he traveled. The day was young and the afternoon warmth held at bay by the thick shadows, and he had hope he would find some sort of entertainment within the secretive woods.

"Or go home disappointed, and try again tomorrow." He admitted with a shrug. "But that would be like-"

Failure. He hesitated to think it, and the fact that he'd almost said it aloud made him shudder. No, he wouldn't allow it. Surely there was something of entertainment to be found here? Something like...

Oh. Like someone coming up the path right now. That was fortunate.

Lillium continued her aimless wandering, trying to sort out what she knew. Was she hungry? Was she cold? Was she tired? Even her body betrayed her, as she could not tell what it felt either. All she knew was that her mind worked, and it only worked momentarily for now. It would not give up the secrets hidden in it's depths.

Because of her distracted state, she did not notice the path that her hooves had led her to in the forest. Nor of the stallion that had stood on it before her. Her head hung midway as she walked, rather oblivious to all that was around her.

Leaving behind the (somewhat dreary) familiarity of his family lands, the young flutter-unicorn stallion wound through the trees carelessly. Of course, this was possibly backfiring on him now, as he could hear approaching footsteps but had no idea of who or what he was about to encounter.

'Please let it not be something awful like a Shifter.' He mused, flicking his tail and laying his ears back for a moment. 'Or any one of those Kalona, either.'

An interaction with either one of those was hardly likely to be pleasant, entertaining, or particularly interesting. Unless one thought near-death experiences were interesting, but Aristos wasn't a fan. Not when it posed risk of damage to his majestic self. If that was the case, the thing could keep its distance.

Then the mystery being in question rounded a bend in the path, and they were face to face, or near enough to it. And she was, well, decidedly not a Shifter or a Kalona. Likely not much of a threat, either. Lost? Weary or just confused? He wasn't sure, but she seemed, listless and distracted.

"Um, excuse me, madam." He rumbled, flicking his tail and taking another light step toward the strange mare. "Are you well? You seem like perhaps you are lost, if you do not mind my saying so. If I can be of assistance, I would be glad to be so. I am a native of this land and can certainly direct you wherever you may wish to go."
