Rex sat crossed legged on his bedroom floor; He had lost pretty badly the last time he'd had a little selling competition with his best friend Shou - She'd managed to get 25 customers, and he had only managed 8- Despite working really hard at his stall (He had got a table cloth and mounted the prices in little ornate black photo frames - but Shou's treats really had looked alot better than his D: Maybe cakes weren't his strong suit?) It had hurt at the time, but Rex realized he obviously needed to work on his selling technique, and maybe on what he was selling!
He'd been luck enough to pick up a couple of Mirrors that a nightmare had been trying to get rid of, he took them back to his room because he knew an idea would come to him and it had!
He'd decided if he went down the beach and collected some Pretty shells / stones & Sea glass (All free cool ) he could glue them onto the mirrors, polish them up good and shiny and sell them on for a pure profit (Minus the cost of the glue and a can of glaze of course!)
He hoped there would be a market for the trinkets, maybe some Nixie's or Naiad's would be interested with the link to the sea? Maybe he could collect some nice leaves and twigs and do something similar but nature related? Feathers perhaps? Gosh the ideas kept coming!
Once he'd made an example he would show Shou and see if she might like to give it a go too?
Rex was determined to get better at selling, he needed to work on his customer relations and maybe the way he presented himself?
But Rex was sure that one day he was going to be a big business man - His future family were going to be so proud of him!
