 Tolaram was out in the woods, looking for new stones and shells for his collection. He hoped to some day travel to a distant city to explore mountains that were said to have rare and wonderful stones in them. Then to distant beaches, he had never seen before to look for shells. As it was he was lucky to find a shell out here and normally they were fossil shells at that. So they were also sorta like stones. He moved along slowly looking closely at the ground and stopping ever so often to dig in the ground to look for stones and fossils under the earth's surface.

 Raa had just finished watching one of Ella's track and field training sessions. The boy was feeling rather high off the endorphins of watching his lady love as he cheered her own. Now it was time to start making his way home. But as the boy wandered, his pink wings flaring gently, his mind had drifted. It wasn't long before the boy had found himself in a small wooded area, his feathered ears perking gently as he strained to hear the local sounds. What was nearby? A river? A road? Had he gotten lost? A small sigh escaped his lips, the hybrid deciding to just keep moving forward as he crawled over a fallen down tree. Squeak! Raa let our a surprised little sound. Unexpectedly, on the other side of the tree was a boy digging in the dirt. Raa clutched at his heart and breathed a sigh of relief. "You spooked me!"

Tolaram blinked his large red eyes at the hybird who seemed rather frightened, Tolaram hadn't made a sound. Then again his name did mean mouse. "That was not my intention, I was merely digging in the dirt, seeking rocks and fossils, I was not expecting anyone else to be this far out in the woods. Are you lost?" Tolaram asked calmly echoing the hybrid's own thoughts. Tolaram came to these woods often, so he wasn't worried that he had gone the wrong way. The hybrid, on the other hand, didn't appear to know these very well at all. Tolaram stood up and dusted his hands off before he offered his hand to the hybird. Then he offered his some what dirty hand in greeting. "I am Tolaram." He said in a gentle voice.

Raa watched cautiously as the boy shifted and began to talk. His plummage and fur was almosy comically puffed out from his initial fright, but as the boy began to talk Raa started to settle. Raa's eyes followed the boy's hand as he offered it in greeting. A bit dumbly, Raa reached out to shake it. It felt a bit weird. "I'm Raa." He said simply before swallowing hard. Man, his mouth felt dry. "Nice to meet you, Tolaram. It's ... heh ... probably my fault anyways. I'm easily spooked. And ... yah ... admittedly ... I am a little lost ... " Raa had to shake his head at his own words. How did he even get lost? He really needed to start paying more attention

Tolaram didn't catch social cues very well, so he didn't fully understand the hybrids fear, for whatever reason perhaps because Tolaram was a hallowed or maybe because he was an orphan Tolaram was a little strange. Tolaram accepted Raa's greeting, his face was still calm and neutral. Tolaram didn't smile much. "Do you need me to guide you back to the school? Unless you'd like to come with me rock and fossil hunting till I'm done then I can guide you back to the school if you like." Tolaram offered. Looking into Raa's light blue eyes. "I don't scare easily," Tola said softly.

Raa had to stop to think for a moment. Had this been an adult ... it would have been ill advised to accept their help. This, however, was another child. A peer of Raa's ... Raa's eyes continued to drift, taking in the trees around them for a quiet moment before offering a response. "If you take me go the school I should be able to find my way home ... but I'd feel bad taking advantage of your kindness without doing something in return. Why don't I help you look for ... rocks, I guess? Can probably find some cool ones closer to water ... "

Tolaram smiled a little, Raa was very kinda and agreeable, the offer and suggestion to go look for stones by the water was a very good one. Tolaram nodded and then said "Alright let's do that, and then to be fair we will only stay a little bit then I will guide you back to the school. It is only fair that since you are compromising your time for me I should compromise my schedule for you, besides the rocks and fossils will still be here another day." Tola said simply. There would always be more rocks and shells there wouldn't always be his first meeting with Raa that was once in a lifetime.

Raa gave a gentle nod of his head before he slipped an elastic out from underneath his bracelet, reaching up to tie back his choppy hair to keep it out of his face for when they started to dig around. The two of them seemed to be rather like-minded. If someone did them a favour, they had to pay them back somehow. Tolaram seemed to share this same philosophy as he reiterated his willingness to guide Raa back to the school after their little adventure down to the river. "That sounds great, thank you. I know near rivers and beaches there tend to be a lot of rocks with natural granite and quartz deposits. I'm sure we'll have good luck."

Tolaram smiled a little and said "Yes I believe you are right, come there is a small river not far from here, and a little ways from there up stream is the bridge that leads back to the school." Tolaram had a blind trust that Raa would honor their agreement and not run off with his directions to just go back to the school without helping Tolaram find a few stones on the river bank before they headed back to the school together. As they got closer to the small river, the sound of rushing water greeted them. Tola's eyes lite up as he looked over the river bank. Tolaram didn't really do running so he went to the river bank and started looking for pretty and interesting stones.

Raa nodded as Tolaram spoke about their destination. He didn't really have much to say at that exact moment, and so the fallen-imp decided it was best to leave his words for a time where he knew what he wanted to say. He slipped off the fallen down tree and followed behind the other boy, his sandles flip flopping with each alternating step. It wasn't long until the sound of the water started to fill Raa's sensitive ears, and he knew that the river was not far off. The trees began to thin, an obvious sign that the pair was getting closer to cultivated land. They were getting closer to town, and within a few more minutes of walking the two boys had arrived at the riverside. Raa turned to Tolaram who was already starting his examinations, the fallen-imp offering a gentle smile and gestering a few feet away. "I'll start looking over here for you."
