Cybelle was outside he had his wings tucked against his back, he wasn't really doing anything that day, then again for all he knew he could end up doing something crazy. Considering the last time he went out he had run into a crazy on the loose robot. Hopefully, though today would be peaceful, that was really all that Cybelle wanted time to be with Wren and relax, no drama, no stress. The betrothed his had disappeared so that part of his problems was gone. Though Taffy was rather reasonable considering. Still though if Cybelle's parents showed up he would have to show that he had something to do with Taffy or prove his love to Wren and Cybelle didn't feel like he should have to prove his love to anyone.

Cider had been more than excited to start Junior level classes, and with the addition of her new glasses, she felt like a whole new nightmare now. There was more freedom to be had at this stage in her life…and truth be told…she really enjoyed that. The classes she got to do now were more challenging too, and that was exciting. She liked the idea of having to work a little harder in order to succeed in class.
Of course, the best part of all of this, was the growth in her own confidence. It made her really happy to be able to almost look other Nightmares and Daydreams in the face and not avert her eyes out of utter shyness…of course, the glasses helped.
The one thing that the glasses didn’t help, was when they got dirty, like they were now. As she walked, Cider was trying very hard to wipe the smudges away with the edges of her dresses, and didn’t see the Chimera standing there. Well, until she bumped head first into him.
“Ah!” The hybrid jumped away, clutching onto her glasses, though she tripped and let out a disgruntled noise as she hit the ground.
Note to self. Don’t clean your glasses and walk. It was a good lesson for anyone to learn. “I’m sorry…Are you okay?”

Cybelle leaned down as the figure was trying to right themselves and fix their glasses he frowned and leaned down to help them up, he knew that he could never go on a peaceful uneventful walk, it just was never in the cards for him. His voice was a little harsh and graveling not because he was being rude or mean just Cybelle's natural voice. "The more important question is are you alright?" Cybelle offered them his hand so he could help them off the ground. "I didn't hurt you did I?" Cybelle asked his words kind even though his voice was always quiet but a little rough.

Cider quietly put the glasses back on her face and reached out, taking the offered hand and pulling herself up. “No, you didn’t hurt me at all, and my glasses didn’t break, so everything’s fine!” She smiled and tossed one of her braids over her shoulder, shaking the hand that she still held. “I’m Cider. I really should have been paying more attention to what I was doing but…you know. I’m just still getting used to these glasses so…I suppose I haven’t yet mastered walking without them yet…”
She hoped he understood…he almost sounded a little mean and she hesitated, finally dropping the hand. “I…are you just out for a walk too? It’s a really nice day out today, isn’t it?” She loved all of the new freedoms she had, and being able to walk around on her own outside more often was high on the list of what she liked best about being in the junior level classes…
It felt good to be trusted not to make poor choices. It felt really good, actually.

Cybelle smiled at Cider and then said "Hello I am Cybelle." His tone was friendly but his voice was a bit gravelly. "That's alright I'm glad I didn't hurt you, though it is somewhat funny that we ran into each other, I was just thinking how I am never able to go out for a walk without something strange happening. Last time a robot tried to run me over." Cybelle said in his low voice. Cybelle sighed, he hadn't meant to make the being think him mean. Not many understood Cybelle and the way his voice naturally was, the only one he knew who wasn't bothered by his voice had been Wren. He nodded but didn't say anything else, not wanting to bother Cider with his voice again.

“It’s very nice to meet you!” Cider gave a little smile, though paused, her eyes widening. “What do you mean a robot tried to run you over? That’s crazy!” She couldn’t even imagine what that must have been like…and what a great idea for a story that was. “Could you tell me about it? I…I like to write stories, and that sounds like a really, really cool plot for one…a robot running around the town trying to run over people…how did you stop it? Did you end up getting hurt?”
He didn’t look so bad off…no missing limbs or anything at the very least. “It must have been scary too…I would have been scared, I’m sure.” Cybelle really wasn’t so bad, though finally something that he said dawned on her and she frowned slightly. “Oh, I really didn’t mean to interrupt your walk, I’m sorry.” If he was comparing her to the robot…then didn’t that mean she wasn’t a bother too…sometimes she really talked too much without listening.

Cybelle nodded and then said "Just said I mean, a robot was on the loose it's creator running after it covered in dirt from an explosion. It was a mess, luckily I was able to jump out of the way so I wasn't run over. It was a very strange day, but the owner was rather nice. I enjoy inventing myself so meeting another inventor was interesting." Cybelle thought a moment. "Do you need more details than that to write a story. I don't write I prefer to work with my hands, inventor, carriage repairs, stuff like that. I can start over if you like." Cybelle said as softly as he could, be his voice was always low and gravely. Cybelle shook his head and then said. "No I didn't find it scary, scary is dinner with my parents trying to set me up to be married, now that is terrifying." Cybelle shook his head "Nah don't worry about it Cider."

The hybrid shook her head. “No! I have enough information I think! You’re an inventor? That’s so cool! I…I’m not that talented at all…haha…” She shrugged. It didn’t really matter. She liked her imagination, and really…they weren’t so different. They both had good imaginations, if he was an inventor, and her a writer…it was just different creative outlets.
Cider blinked at the last part of what Cybelle said. “Your…parents are trying to set you up to be married? But…you’re still just a kid! Is that…even allowed?” She supposed it was…but she was honestly quite happy that her own parents had never tried to do something like that to her or any of her siblings…it didn’t seem right.
“Are…are you going to listen to them? Or are you going to do what your heart tells you…?” It was almost like something out of some great romance book! How exciting!

Cybelle looked at Cider and chocked his eyebrow at the being, "Why do you think you have no talent? You told me you're a writer, I don't write well, so I think that is a talent." His voice was its normal low gravely tone. Which made his words sound harsh than he meant them to. Cybelle rolled his eyes and then said: "I was betrothed to another chimera descendant before I was imbued, it's a chimera thing betrothal and drama." Two things Cybelle wanted to avoid like the curse. The nine knew Cybelle liked things quiet and peaceful, they seemed to find it amusing throwing strange things into his life though. "That's another chimera thing, tossing aside tradition in a dramatic fashion and declaring your love for your true love." He rolled his eyes. "I prefer that quietly being with Wren without the drama I don't need to prove my love for him to anyone."

Cider grinned, feeling herself turning a bit red from the praise. Honestly, sometimes her writing seemed like more of an escape rather than a talent but…well. If people thought it was a talent, who was she to stop them?
“That’s…that’s really interesting though! My mother’s didn’t do anything like that to me, or at least if they did, they still haven’t broken the news to me, so I’m still blissfully unaware! Which…honestly I think I’d rather stay that way.”
It was so different. Sometimes the races were almost too different but…well. Who was she to judge? Cider paused and frowned. “Oh no.” She looked rather stricken for a moment and glanced back towards the school. “I completely forgot that I have a paper due tomorrow for Social Studies and I haven’t even bothered to start it. I’m so, so sorry Cybelle, but I have to run! It was very nice to meet you, and I hope we can hang out again sometime! Good luck with…with Wren? Is that your true love? Good luck with them, I hope it all works out and that your parent’s aren’t too mad!”
The hybrid gave a little wave and hurried back into the school, glad that she had run into the Chimera, if she hadn’t…this assignment might have gone unfinished and she might have gotten into pretty big trouble.
