With pillows in hand, Iah went over to the spot where they had set up the portable computer screen and set them down, letting out a sigh followed by the smile. Iah was happy to be able to set some time aside this summer to spend it with his roommate Avocado. Tonight it was pretty hot, but they had the fans going and plenty of cold drinks to have while they planned to watch a movie he had rented from a movie house. He had managed to discover it earlier on this summer, and had finally managed to rent a movie he thought Avocado would like to watch with him, and he was correct!

"You able to figure out the magic disc player on this thing Avo?" He asked as he went to grab a large blanket to lay down on the floor, slithering over to where the blankets were in the closet ", I wasn't able to figure it out earlier, but I think we both could figure it out."

"I have asked many questions sure. I even tried confronting an internet search for advice on how things work, especially this disc player, but technology still isn't my thing," Iah admitted, laying the blanket down before Avo plopped down, joining him and grabbing a drink as he settled down ", I can handle lower technology stuff just fine, even fix it up. When it comes to computers, I can't seem to grasp it. At least I kind of understand a normal calculator now, but not that high end calculator they expect us to use now."

He slithered down and began to watch Avocado work on getting the movie to work, admiring their work and ability to understand this machine. Maybe one day he would, but today was not that day ", I hope you enjoy this movie. I've heard good reviews on it, although it has been a while since it was in the public eye."

"The name of the movie is The Elf and the Pea, a movie based on a day dream fairy tale that was made for the below for them to better understand the story. Apparently it took the original fairy tale and modernized it, but they also changed a few glaring details about the story," he took a quick sip of his drink as the beginning credits began, a storm going on in the movie while a traveling caravan was trying to make it through the night while still continuing on. Another scenario was being shown as well, a rich noble elf looking out into the storm with a saddened look, their mother calling for them in the background in an angered tone. So far it looked good, with high quality and everything. When offered the popcorn, he gave a nod and stood up for a bit ", Thank you Avo! I forgot to make some popcorn, and more drinks can't hurt right? Especially when it is the drinks you get. You seem to have a knack for great food and drink."

The story continued, a rich female elf (Who was planning a campaign to help those less unfortunate) escaping her caravan as it was attacked by seemingly bandits. The elf made her way to the castle, her appearance muddied and degraded from her esteemed appearance to that of a poor commoner by the time she made it to the mansion that had been established to be where the other rich elf lived, her knocking on the door asking for help.

Iah was intrigued by this story already, being a sucker for love stories from other lands he himself was not used to. There was something about foreign love concepts that he liked, especially ones from the above or more out of reach areas of the below. He had read this particular story before, but wanted to see a more modern take on it ", The main story is about to begin, what do you think so far?"

"I might just like this sort of story because I love foreign love stories and fairy tales," He explained, rolling onto his stomach and looking back onto the screen, his uppertail going back and forth. His rattler was making a little noise, him wondering if it was annoying Avo at all ", Hey, will moving my tail annoy you any? I don't want it to take away from the movie for you if it does."

He noticed that his friend seemed a little... what was the word? Was it boredom? No, not quite. However, he was sure he knew the answer to fixing it, him taking a pick of popcorn and holding it up for Avo ", Wanna see if we can throw them and catch it with out mouths at each other?"

"What? Iah chuckled a bit before give his friend a hug ", No way! You are the best roommate I could ever have, and a best friend as well! If you don't want to watch this movie we can watch something else, or even do something else. I am just glad to be spending this time with my best buddy!"

With that said he held up a piece of popcorn, ready to throw it ", Do you want to or we can find a different movie?"

He was glad his friend had cheered back up, letting his friend throw a few pieces of popcorn at his mouth as well. He really couldn't ask for better friends then what he had here at the academy. Avocado and Aiday were truly the best. How could he ever go back home when he had such amazing people here to spend his days with here? His friends and foreign exchange family were his family now and he was glad for every moment he got to spend with them, even if it was as simple as playing a game of catch with popcorn ", Next time we can both go out a and pick a movie, alright?"
