"Think we'll be safe in here?" A nervous voice asked as it peeked around the back entrance to the building. They'd come across an empty hive, whether it was abandoned or temporarily vacant, and it seemed like it could work as a place to stay for the day. It was a bit larger than Tevini felt comfortable with but she knew they couldn't be picky. Etsali had a good eye and instinct for figuring out places to squat and it was immature for her to whine about a little too much extra room.
She just didn't like imagining something lurking behind all the closed doors.
"It's still crazy to me that a city this busy can have empty hives." Tevini admitted. NHC was so bright and busy to her. As someone who never visited, she'd built up a presumption that the city was bursting with too many trolls, overpopulated. Maybe that was still true and they just hadn't found this place yet? Hmm...
"So... first we check the rooms." The redblood nodded, trying to go over Etsali's routine for securing a place to stay. Weakly, she turned to look at the orangeblood, eyes pleading to come with her. She still wasn't brave enough to do it on her own.saihen i don't have a specific layout for the house, feel free to do whatever sounds fun for akkira and her ghosties!

"Trolls die all the time," Etsali replied quietly, moving in through the back entrance with little to none of the hesitance Tevini was showing. There was a smidgen of caution there, of course, in the careful placement of her steps to avoid much creaking, but that was an endeavor she made more often than not. The more she practiced it, the quicker it became second nature. "Takes a little while for anybody to notice and reclaim the space sometimes."
She paused a moment there in the back room, reaching out to pluck a little knickknack off a shelf and consider it. She rubbed a thumb over it, taking off a little dust, and then put it back with a thoughtful 'hmm'. She wiped her hand on her shorts to get most of the dust off her gloves as she glanced back at Tevini. With an amused smile, she nodded and motioned for her to keep close as she moved on towards the door to the next rooms.
"Let me know if you see anything interesting."
