Dayn sighed as his twin ran ahead, then loped back to Dayn, then ran ahead again. It was if they were on an invisible leash, he thought, torn between getting food sooner and staying close to their twin. At least, Dayn told himself, they were full of beans and feeling well, rather than feeling ill at all. That was a good thing. Of course, as Kyle bounced up and down on their toes at the door, almost yelling for Dayn to hurry up, Dayn considered that maybe his twin could be a little less enthusiastic though.

Kyle had lots of energy today, and burning through it all had given them an appetite. They were really, really hungry, so they kept running towards the canteen - and then stopping as they remembered Dayn didn't like to break the rules and run indoors, waiting for him to catch up, and then running a head a little bit again.

"C'mooooooon, c'mon!"

Finally the two of them recieved lunch and sat down - Kyle leading the way to a table where someone was sat all alone - because nobody liked being lonely. They sat down opposite Shock, grinning brightly at them before beginning to eat their lunch. Dayn was a little more hesitant, sitting next to Kyle and only smiling at the other freshling.

Halfway through a mouthful of sandwich, Kyle gulped it down quickly when the other (hybrid? Kyle didn't recognise him as a standard species anyway) spoke. Grinning, Kyle's tail flicked happily as they raised a slightly grubby hand to wave, and spoke back quickly.

"Hi! I'm Kyle this is Dayn my twin, who're you?"

Dayn meanwhile, was picking at his food, making sure nothing was touching each other. When his name was mentioned he politely raised a cleaner hand, waving, then went back to his food. Priorities - he had them, even if Kyle didn't.

Kyle frowned a little as Shock mumbled his name, concern etching itself over his features, and he even leaned over the table a little to peer at Shock. Kyle didn't care that Shock was a 'curse'. Some people didn't like the fact that Kyle was a hybrid of multiple things, but they were just jerks. It was stupid to judge people on appearances. (Though, Kyle thought Shock looked cool!!!!)

"Hey, are you okay, Shock? You look kinda sad, and you were sat all alone. If you feel ill I can get someone for you!"

Dayn's ears perked up as Kyle talked about Shock being ill, and he looked up from his food, carefully chewing the rest of his mouthful before swallowing and speaking - more quietly than his excitable twin, but he was also concerned.

"Are you okay, Shock? Please excuse Kyle, he's very excitable."

Kyle's ears twitched as he thought Shock's response over, mouth twisted in an almost frown as he tried to understand. Kyle wasn't always the best with social cues, and he tended to sometimse take them the wrong way. Dayn said it was better to ask then be confused so....maybe it was time to ask. Shock seemed nice anyway, he wasn't gonna shout at Kyle, right? (right?) Hopefully not. And anyway Dayn was right there if he did. Yep.

"Does that mean you want us to leave you alone?"

Kyle's ears drooped slightly at the idea, and Dayn tugged his twin back into his seat.

"Sit down and eat Kyle. I'm sure Shock just meant he wasn't expecting company?"

Dayn tilted his head at Shock as he nibbled on a cracker, asking for a reply.

Kyle opened his mouth to reply mid-chew, before being bapped gently by his brother and scowling, chewing rapidly so that he could swallow and get back to talking, which was obviously far more interesting than eating.

"I like..." Dayn paused, thinking. What did he like, other than his brother? "...dancing?" They'd done dancing last music class, and it had been fun.

"What about you?"
