 Magi was wearing some moisture salve so her skin didn't dry out. Since Magi was half naiad it was important for her to keep her skin from drying out. She looked around the playground and spotted the sand box. She went and sat down in the sand picking up the sand and letting it run through her fingers. Magi sighed she wasn't really sure what she wanted to do or if she wanted to make something with the sand. She didn't mind waiting though, if someone wanted to come play with her they would if no one did that was ok too.

Samiya hummed to herself as she skipped out to the playground. Recess was always great. It was a nice break from all the classes. Not that she had any problems with class, it was just that getting out of the classroom was nice and she always looked forward to it. She glanced about the playground as she tried to decide on she was going to spend her time. Playing in the sandbox might be fun but... She eyed the other freshling who was already there from across the way. Would they want someone to come and join them? Her ears twitched slightly as she figured that it wouldn't hurt to ask. She made her way over, speaking up as she got close. "Umm, hi. Can I play here?"

Magi looked up at the figure who had joined her at the sandbox, she wasn't sure what race they were, not that that really matters. Magi didn't judge others by their race, it didn't make any sense after all her mommy was a demon and her daddy was a naiad and that didn't make Magi any less. "Of course you can, I'm Magi and you are?" Magi ask gesturing to an empty soft in the sandbox. She looked at the sand. "So do you have an idea what to build?" Magi asked wondering if the other freshling might want to make a castle or a turtle.

Samiya smiled, hoping the other wouldn't be put-off by her sharp teeth. She didn't know many people here yet and making friends could be difficult at the best of times. "Nice to meet you, Magi. My name is Samiya. But you can call me Sami or Sam if you want." She said with a nod. She took a seat in the sandbox, pushing her sleeves up her arms. Getting sand in your sleeves was annoying. "Umm, probably a castle. That's not super imaginativeor anything, but I think I can make a pretty good castle." midnightglow18 I forgot how much of a pain Gaia is on mobile, sheesh.

Magi wasn't bothered by the sharp teeth there were naiads that had sharp teeth so that didn't bother her one bit. "Nice to meet you Samiya, Sami sounds good." She laughed lightly "Sami and Magi sound like a good pair." Magi nodded and grabbed a mold from the side of the sand box and started to make a few towers for their sand castle. "Do you think we need a moat??" Magi thought it might be a good idea after all she liked water it was part of who she was being half naiad and half demon. Magi liked both sides of herself.

Samiya smiled happily. It seemed like she was on the first step towards making a friend. That means that it is probably going to be a great day. She watched as Magi grabbed a mold- a great idea- and decided that it would be a good idea for her to get some tools too. With a nod, she grabbed a bucket and started to fill it with sand. They weren't going to get great castles with the sand being as dry as it was, but it would still be fun. "Yeah, a moat would be good. We gotta kept the invaders out after all. Or else we might lose our castle to... To..." She pondered over who would invade and take their castle. "The Evil King... Ummm... Jack."

Magi smiled at Sami, she felt happy sitting with Sami and this day seemed like it would turn out really well. Magi didn't mind that the castle that they were building wasn't perfect, the better part was playing with someone else. Magi got up and took a bucket over to the fountain near by and filled it with water and then brought it back to the sand box she offered some water to Sami to help their structures stand up better. Then she started to dig the moat and fill it with water. It was messy but a lot of fun. Magi smiled and then said "Queen Sally is the ruler of the castle and must have her knights defend it from the evil king Jack??" She asked in a cheerful tone as she continued building.

"Oh, water, great. That'll make everything stick together better." Samiya said thankfully as Magi brought the water over. Magi just seemed to be filled with great ideas. "Yeah. Sally is a wise and powerful leader, and the Evil King Jack got jealous and wants to take over." She poured some of the water into the bucket of sand, letting the sand soak in the water and packing it down. Swiftly, she turned the bucket over, setting it down open-end first before it had a chance to spill out. With all the care she could muster, she slowly lifted the bucket up, leaving a cylindrical mound in the sand. It wasn't perfect- some of the edges crumbled off as she lifted the bucket, but it was still good, and would make for a good central part of their building.

Magi smiled "This is really great" Magi said having so much fun. Magi helped to put the finishing touches on the castle and she got up. "I had a lot of fun playing with you today Sami, and I hope you'll be my friend. Maybe we can play again soon?" Magi asked in a hopeful tone. She needed to get back to the dorm, the caretakers would be looking for them both soon, they weren't supposed to be out past check in time. She waited for Sami to answer and then she left the playground to head back to the dorm for the night.

Samiya returned Magi's smile. "Yeah, it is." She hummed softly to herself as she built a few walls between the moat and the castle- and extra layer of protection for Queen Sally. The Evil King Jack would not be making his way through her defenses today. She eyed their work, proud of what they have accomplished. It wasn't the best castle, but it was theirs. "I'd like to be friends too and I would really really like to play some more again later." Samiya answered, happy that Magi wanted to be friends and play more. She stood up, brushing sand off her hand and clothes before she to made her way back to the dorms.
