Personality:Amelia is Compassionate, level-headed, introverted and patient.
History:Emily was born on land in a small house by the sea. She was born a unique hybrid between a merfolk and a witch. From an early age, she proved to be potent in magic; typically water and ice.
To keep her magic hidden, her mother homeschooled her and her father left the seas to take care of her, too. Her parents were wed shortly after she was born so that they could stay a family. At 15, her mother determined that Emily could keep her power under control, and allowed her to go to a public school for the first time.
Weaknesses:Comes off as cold and distant because she feels the best option is to face problems by acting as though they have already been resolved. When under a lot of stress, she is seemingly unable to control her powers, leading to her both figuratively and literally freezing up as ice begins to encase her. Personality:He is fun-loving, kind, selfless, polite. History: He was sent to scout the surface world when he met a beautiful red-haired woman who would later become the woman of his dreams. He greeted himself, and they got to know each other.
It was later revealed to him that she was a witch, able to use the magic of the seas or any other body of water to her ability. She kept this a secret from others, and he told her that her magic was a gift to be cherished- further strengthening the relationship between them.
When Amelia was born, he left the ocean to take care of her.
Weaknesses:He often wonders what the sea is like since he left, leaving him stuck daydreaming sometimes Strengths:Being part of the king's military, he is a skilled fighter. He also has a strong bond with his wife and daughter. Theme Song:

Personality:She is neat, hospitable, caring, and a loving mother History: Amelia met her husband over 15 years ago at the beach. She only meant to stay in France for a little while until she had gotten to know James a little more.
They befriended each other quickly, and after a few months, she trusted him enough to tell him that she was a witch. He didn't mind this and told her that her magic was a gift.
After a year since they had met, James had confessed his love to her and she accepted. They bought a small house on the coast where they lived happily together and had their daughter, Emily.
Weaknesses:She worries about her daughter a lot, often coming off as over-protective Strengths:She is a master at her own powers and will not hesitate to use them to protect her family. When around trusted friends, though, she is the life of the party. Theme Song:

Secondly, none of them are really from an anime as far as I know- Unless I used a name by coincidence, but that seems a bit unlikely.
At first they would have been surprised, but they have already been on land for quite awhile now. Amelia barely knows her potential as a mermaid. I might still start them off at the beach, but the family has lived in town for nearly 15 years.

Personality:Vesper is determined, kind, creative, and a social-butterfly. Sometimes she is very competitive, but she always does her best to relate to other people and sympathize with them. Thus, she is almost never arrogant- unless someone belittles her or talks bad about her performances. Overall, she just wants to inspire the world with her voice.
History: Vesper was born in Japan. Her birth would't even be possible without the internet, that was how her parents met. Her mother lived in France and her father lived in Japan. He was someone who had been working to learn different languages, and he was working on his f french. Her parents talked and talked, and her mother admired that he was a fast learner. After to getting to know each other, Vesper's mother made the decision to leave France to stay with Vesper's father.
Their daughter, Vesper, proved to be musically talented from the time she was a toddler. It was said that she learned to sing before she could talk. When she was just 15 years old, Vesper was sent to Tokyo to study at a prestigious academy for music. Once she turned 17, she was sent back to France to study at a college to continue majoring in her musical studies.
However, before she left Tokyo, she was getting out of a bad relationship with someone. This person adored her voice and often recorded her singing. As a plan of revenge, he threatened to share her songs and claim them as his own if she didn't stay with him. She declined of course, and a lawsuit allowed her to keep her music. The process was so long however, she couldn't go to France until she was 18 a few months later.
After winning her case, her family also received enough money to buy her her very own home. In fact, her mother's old home that was in the care of a distant family member.
After finally settling in, Vesper went to the beach one day to relax. She loved to swim and was caught in a caught in a riptide shortly before a storm hit the beach. It was so strong, she couldn't get out of the water in time and was swept deeper into the ocean.
The next morning, she would realize a merman had saved her.
