From your inciting
You can't brainwash me
She still wasn't convinced that it was possible. While she had known people that have gone from the White Moon to the Negaverse and vice versa (herself included, obviously), the only known case of someone leaving one faction for another and going back again was Linarite and that was to re-join the Negaverse. When the damage was done to your starseed, was it even possible to repair it? Was she truly doomed to this life forever? She hoped not, because forever was like... A really, really long time. But she trusted Valhalla and when he brought her to Ganymede, she had to trust her too. They had to at least try.
I'm free
From society
You can't control me
I'm a defector
From society
You can't control me
I'm a defector
Her lips twisted into a mixture of a pout and a frown at her starseed, watching it glimmer through the darkness that enveloped it in the open palms of her hands. Cracks were evident in it's surface, seemingly worse- deeper now that she was an Eternal Senshi, wholly devoted to the Negaverse and Metallia herself. Or at least she was supposed to be. Every once in a while she felt an unsatisfied desire to be Chaos, but she did everything she possibly could to push that deep down inside and remember who she was. Who she was supposed to be.
She just had to keep telling herself that- because a part of her was worried that this process would be as terrible as her induction into the Negaverse. The darkness, the suffocating thickness of chaos itself, the pain... It felt like fire that would rip apart her very being, and Cyllene very distinctly remembered vomiting on Zinkenite's shoes. And she really did not want to vomit on Ganymede or her sparkly shoes or her pretty white dress. Or on poor Valhalla! Oh god, she just didn't want to vomit.
Do.
Not.
Vomit.
You think you're strong and you can't be broken
But your empire is dissolving
She was nervous, but she wouldn't let that keep her from walking away. Not the nerves, not the terrible things she had done in the Negaverse, not Zinkenite who she so desperately wanted to make proud, not anyone or anything. The blonde Senshi took a deep, shaky breath- she knew it was time. It had to be- The longer they waited, the more likely it was that they would be interrupted. The longer they waited, the more likely it was that someone would find and kill her for being a traitor. Or that she would simply be summoned and then killed, also for being a traitor. Pushing the thought from her mind, she returned her starseed to the black hole in her chest.
The arrival of the Princess and her disgusting, overwhelming power signature nearly made Cyllene recoil, her entire body tensing. Part of Cyllene was happy this was happening just to get that nauseatingly good aura to stop eating away at her. Part of her was completely, and utterly terrified of everything that lay in wait when this was over. She had no idea how just broken she would be. "Wait," she said quietly, stepping back. While it probably looked like she was changing her mind, she simply had to do one last thing.
You thought I was weak
But you got it wrong
But you got it wrong
A purple, glowing crystal appeared in her right hand and she held it up to her blue-stained lips. "Azurite... If you're listening, I just want to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for leaving without saying goodbye, and I'm sorry if I forget you." Tears threatened to spill, but Cyllene swallowed hard and pushed the crystal back into subspace, not waiting to see if the other Senshi would reply. She had left a letter in her apartment in case Zinkenite did return one day. Another for Tyrus, who she had just been reunited with and couldn't bare to say goodbye to face to face. The last time she did this she forgot everyone, she was sure that it would happen again and nothing could really prepare you for that.
But alas. She had made her choice, and she knew it was the right one. There was no turning back- and even if there was, rejoining the White Moon and the Jovians, at Ganymede and Valhalla's side, was the only thing that Cyllene wanted. She desperately needed to rid herself of the Chaotic parasite that was clenching onto her starseed.
Bright blue eyes finally looked back up and she smiled at her saviors, ready and willing to abandon the Negaverse and everything she had known and loved over the last 4 years. She nodded, and suddenly there was nothing but a blinding, bright light.
The light that would guide her home.
Look into my eyes
I'm a defector
