Sauntering lazily towards the graveyard, Zingatia hummed quietly to himself, not even noticing where he was actually going. He had left a while ago, from the watering hole, and had followed the breeze, deciding it didn't matter where it took him. The sky had since darkened, a milky sort of color, bloodred skies, with gray clouds looming overhead. The sun was laying across the horizon, creating the eerily toned sky.
"Is it always like this around here?" Zingatia wondered out loud. He waved his tail behind him and flicked his ears, listening for slight noises all around him. Lifting his nose to the breeze that had led him here, he sniffed the air floating across it. "So there are others here?" He said, again out loud, cocking a brow as he sat in the dirt, waiting....for something.

A small shape could suddenly be seen weaving in and out among the bones. It seemed to pause behind every little skull to peek around and see if anyone was there. Then it would move forward and continue outward, heading toward the grasses that devided the borders of the graveyard and the lands beyond.
It was a young lioness of brown and white, the mix of which didn't really blend with her surroundings. So, it was rather funny to see her trying to "hide" among the bones and the shadows, rather unsuccessfully. But none of her motions suggested she was trying to "stalk" anything...it was more like the actions a mouse took when trying to escape an owl.

From where he was sitting, Zingatia watched the small creature sneaking around before him, fully intrigued by it. He grinned and then stood up, making his way over to where she was currently "hidden" and sat down in front of her.
"You can come out. I'm not dangerous at all." He said. Well, if that didn't sound suspicious at all. "That sounded bad, but really, I'm just a wolf, what could I possibly do to you?" He continued, just making himself sound worse. He flicked his ears back in agitation. Nothing he ever said came out porperly.

As the wolf came before Nkechi she jumped and felt her body stiffen in fear. The creature before her reminded her of a hyena...it wasn't exactly the same, but it was close. And Hyena's had hurt her brother...and scared her half to death as well. So it was no surprise she shrieked and ducked to the ground where she covered her face with her paws in terror. Nkechi was far from being the bravest of lions.

Zingatia saw the small form stiffen, and he wasn't sure what he should do now. Talk her out? Just walk away? Continue sitting there until she felt safer?
"You can come out, really..." He said slowly, trying to make sure she got everything he said. "It would be grand if you could tell me where the hell I am." He said, then reconsidered, "Pardon me." He said, realising that the small form was probably a younger creature. He leaned foraward a little, to catch it's scent. A young lioness. He moved back to the position he'd been in, then lay down in the dirt before her.

It wanted her to come out. She shivered, covering her ears. It wanted her to come out so it could eat her! D: Nkechi was never really one to be logical when she was scared, so she didn't really notice that it would be rather hard for the maned wolf to eat her.
She felt its breath on her paws at it sniffed her and she squeeked in terror. Maybe it wasn't even going to wake to get her out...maybe it'd just eat her right here and now!

Zingatia laid his ears back as the lioness squeaked. He curled his tail around his hind legs and let his tongue flop out of his mouth, panting. Why must lions be so complicated? He wondered in his mind, starting a small conversation between the voices that were in there.
"I'm going to sit here until you come out." He said rather bluntly. "And I can promise you that you're not in any harm." He finished, flicking his ears back up and playing with a bone that lay in front of him restlessly.

"W-why do you want me to come out?" Nkechi whimpered, never looking out from under her paws. She was visably shaking, still absolutely scared of Zingatia. His blunt nature didn't seem to help, for it made her fear she might be testing his nerves. Oh why did she always have to go wandering around by herself? She wished her brother was here! He'd know what to do!

"I'd like you to tell me where I am. If you could?" He said, watching her small form quivering in the darkness. The sun was now fully set, the bloodred color of the sky draining to leave room for the black abyss it had now become.
"I already told you I'm not going to harm you, I'm just a lonely wanderer and I have no idea where I am, the only thing I do know is that I am far from my home." Zingatia said, laying in the dirt again, resting his head on his paws.

"Y-y-you're in the graveyard!" Nkechi stuttered, still unable to shake off her fear, no matter what he said. Granted, she wasn't AS scared as she had been, but that didn't mean her terror was gone. She lifted her paw slightly to peek out worriedly at him, still on edge and shaking like crazy. Silly little lioness.

{Whoo, sorry for lateness sweatdrop }
Hearing the lion and wolf's voices echoing slightly in the dank graveyard, a small hyena-marked cub perked her head up from under a rib cage where she had been resting. Her ears went back and she listened for a while, then frowned. One voice sounded awfully scared... Amleth stood and slunk closer to the voices, tail swishing slowly behind her. Finally she poked her little face out over another bone at them to see what was going on..

Zingatia looked around. So this was the graveyard. "Thank you miss." He said, standing up again, stretching his legs and back then bowing to her. "Now...where exactly is this graveyard?" He asked, still unsure, even though she'd just answered him. "I mean like..." He paused, trying to think of how he could rephrase it so it didn't sound completely stupid.
Or was it just that he was completely stupid? Maybe not stupid, just not good at making sense? Lifting his head back out of the bow, he caught the scent of another young female on the softly blowing breeze. He huffed loudly and spun around, looking for her form, probably hidden somewhere behind a pile of bones as well.

"W-where?" Nkechi asked, not understanding his question. "It's here!" It was obvious she had never really left the place, so she didn't understand his meaning. Even if she had understood his question, she wouldn't have been able to give him sutable directions. Since she was still shaking and rather scared, she didn't notice the cub drawing near.

Amleth noticed the rather alarming-looking wolf scenting the air and shrunk slightly. The game was up, he knew she was there. It wouldn't do her any good to keep hidden. She slowly slunk out of her hiding spot, ears pinned back, offering a "please-don't-eat-me" smile to the two conversing. She moved low to the ground, muscles tensing in case she needed to run.

"What the..." Zingatia said as he watched the other little lioness stalk out of the bone-pile. "But...you're a lion?" He said, he really wasn't trying to say anything about her markings, guessing she was probably sensitive about them, but he couldn't help it, it just slipped out.
"Well. I meant where, like, in the general area of all the lands around here, but it's of no importance. I'm wondering how I got all the way over here. It's...far. That's all. Do you have a family from around here?" He said, almost rambling, without thought. Two young lions were enough to overpower a wolf, so he wasn't sure why they were acting scared. But Zingatia wasn't scared either, just unsure now...
