The island, unfortunately, had become an extended home for dozens of people now stuck there. It wasn't exactly the happy-go-lucky vacation some of them had expected, even less so in certain cases, but for the most part, they did the best they could.
Hopefully.Quote: This is an open RP for anyone wanting to interact with any of my characters on the island over the course of their stay! Please feel free to have anyone stop by whenever.
You are also free to poke me for any plotting whatsoever that might happen over the "year" spent here!

Castaway
It was day 5, or was it ten, or maybe 100. Somewhere between those days, Mark had started getting withdrawals. It was difficult to say what, if it was the bad alcohol, the phone battery dying, or perhaps just the slow trickle and lack of roaches, but at some point, he had finally-
Snapped.
Day one-hundred and five found him clutching an empty coconut, rocking it back and forth, and holding it away from anyone who came to his spot underneath one of the trees. On some days the coconut was Gale, on other days it was Sherry. He would never know.

[Nothing, really]There was not much to do on the island. This resulted, often enough, in doing not much. Jordan sat down near October, and didn't say anything. He just sat.

castaway
Someone squatted down in the sand beside Mark, leaned over, and experimentally prodded his shoulder.
"Hey," said October, in a stage whisper, as though talking too loudly might actually break something. "Are you still alive?"

nothing, really
October said nothing for approximately three and a half minutes while Jordan sat beside him.
Then he turned, leaned in, and said, in a subdued tone of voice,
"Do you think there are dogs in heaven?"

nothing, really
October considered this for a long moment.
"I would say definitely not," he said at last, as though coming to a very serious conclusion. "Dogs are an integral part of life and therefore should be treated just like humans."
He poked a finger into the sand.
"I wish there were more dogs on the island."

nothing, reallyJordan could have pointed out all the logical reasons that dogs were not really a good idea, either on this island or back at home, or he could have said something about doglike minipets. Instead, he said wistfully, "I miss my family's dogs. Stupid little fluffballs."

October turned his head, giving the other an indecipherable look that might have been something akin to being wistful, or maybe just nostalgic, or maybe something else entirely.
"What kind of dogs were they?"

don't mind me
It had been a long day, but it hadn't been too long after the truth ring circle. Or maybe it had been. Dean didn't do a good job keeping track of the days, other than to complain about one when nothing appeared to save them yet. Either way, at one point while the sun was setting, namely because it wasn't going to burn him for being out there for more than ten minutes in direct sunlight, he shuffled towards Nash.
"Hey." His hands were stuffed in his pockets, which had noticeably deepened as his fingers wore at the inner fabric. "Uh. Can I say somethin' real quick?"

nothing, really
October looked utterly delighted by the idea of walking balls of fuzz. "I wish I could have had poms," he said woefully, as though this was a great tragedy, because it was. "We never had pets, my parents always said that it was too much work."
This was also a great tragedy.
"I would have liked something fluffy, though. Or something silly, like a beagle."don't mind me
Dean was given a long, cool look.
"What." said Nash, unceremoniously.

don't mind me
"Look," Dean began to babble before his jaw locked shut, "I'm sorry about the stupid truth or truth thing, okay? But it was hilarious." And since it had clearly been working, anyone who wore it was incredibly stupid, but he wasn't about to add that. "I'm not gonna actually tell anyone or whatever. Unless you seriously piss me off. So." He kicked at the sand. "Don't get mad at me."
