Another Sunday had arrived. Work the night before had run over into the early morning hours and when it had become clear that would be the case she'd sent her cousin a text pushing back their meeting time to noon so she would be able to get a few hours of sleep. If she made it home and into bed by three she could be up by ten and have a little bit of time to herself before spending the day on Corvus with her cousin and their cats.

Their cats.

It still seemed strange to think that they'd both acquired Mauvians around the same time as one another. She had spent hours catching Eta up on everything that had happened since she'd awoken as Sailor Corvus, the guardian cat listening quietly and intently. She'd seemed almost sad after the fact, that she had missed so much and been able to help with so little, making it all the more important for her to accompany her charge on her weekly trips so she didn't miss anything else.

Cordelia checked the clock that morning as it neared noon, snagging a protein shake out of the refrigerator to sip on while she waited for Luc and Sumi to arrive.

At the sound of the bell her brow lofted and she glanced at the door as though it would magically open herself. When it didn't she sighed, crossing the living room from the kitchen to pause before the door. A quick peer through the peep hole showed Luc standing on the other side. She wasn't expecting anyone else, of course, but that didn't mean Fiona might not have had a reason to stop by... Or Fritz...

She slid the chain across and let he drop before unbolting the door, swinging it open to let her cousin inside. "Good morning, Luc. And good morning to you too, Sumi. Did the two of you have breakfast before heading over?"

"Sold out show last night. Everything went well, but it took a while after it wrapped to get everyone out. Most of the crew knows that I generally have 'family plans' on Sundays, though, so I was out by two and in bed before three." She flashed him a smile as he stepped into her home, nudging the door shut and locking it behind him.

"So... Yes? I guess, at least. You didn't tell me I had to have a certain amount of sleep to be capable of traveling." She'd gotten enough sleep to use a bit of sarcasm, at the very least. "If I didn't think I'd get enough sleep I would've rescheduled for another time, but I don't want to get out of the habit of going now."

"She has been, yes." Cordelia nodded before looking over to the sofa where she'd last seen the delicate silver tabby lounging. "I think it makes her feel more connected, if that makes any sense-- like she's missed less of my life because she gets to experience this part of it with me."

She turned, heading to the kitchen to set the empty shake bottle down on the counter before looking over to her cousin again. "It probably sounds silly... Well, maybe not because you've got Sumi, but... It feels right being there and having her with me."

Eta had made herself comfortable on the sofa while waiting for everyone to get ready, dozing lightly while partially paying attention to the conversation. Her ears flickered when she heard Sumi approach, one eye opening to peer at the cat. "You'll be traveling with us too this time? Good. I could use another set of eyes on something I spotted the last time Cordelia and I were there."

"It would be nicer of we weren't waiting for them to stop lying around so that we could get going." She pitched her voice a bit louder purposefully so that Eta would hear her, knowing that the Mau would also hear the teasing tones as well. Eta seemed much more attentive having been left behind the week prior due to oversleeping and refusal to get a move on.

Eta rolled over as Sumi flopped down, leaning in to nuzzle the other cat before giving him a light swat as she stood. "You'll just have to see once we're up there, won't you? Come on. We were just waiting for the two of you and I don't want to get left behind this time."

That said she took a leap up onto the back of the sofa, hopping down to trot over to where the two young people were standing. "I'm ready to suppress your energy signature whenever you're ready to power up."

Cordelia exchanged a glance with the silver tabby and nodded before drawing out her pen to complete her transformation to Eternal Sailor Corvus. Once she'd done so she stooped down to pick up the Mau, holding Eta gently against her chest as she reached out to take her cousin by the hand.

Each trip to Corvus seemed easier than the last, requiring a bit less focus as though she was simply returning back home. When they arrived it was in the small study that she and Luc had cleared during their first visit. It was obvious that she'd spent a bit more time in this room, finally, clearing out all of the dust and debris as well as righting the small table with the pattern of a chess or checker board inlaid upon it.

"I still haven't found the chess pieces." Her nose wrinkled as she set her bag down before shedding the guise of Sailor Corvus, finding it much easier to navigate the halls of the castle and the terrain surrounding it without heels. "Was there anything you wanted to check up on this week, Luc? Or should we try to find something new while there's two of us here?"

Once they arrived on Corvus she hopped down out of the senshi's arms, shaking off the feeling of travel as she glanced around the room to establish her bearings. "If the two of you don't mind, I'd like to borrow Sumi. Meet you in the courtyard within the next hour or so, perhaps?"

"I've thought about it-- bringing a set up here and leaving them on the table. I don't know that I'll have enough guests here ever to warrant playing or needing an excuse to escape, but." Cordelia shrugged her shoulders lightly as she went over to the shelves to retrieve her lantern and the messenger bag that she'd left here a few visits back containing her sketchbook and charcoal.

"I think I'm waiting to find just the right set. There are colors that I have in mind that go with the board and I'm sure that sounds absolutely crazy, but we're on a world tucked away within a constellation somewhere far off in space so. Obviously not the craziest thing I've said." She snorted softly, holding a flashlight out to her cousin. "We'll go the opposite way around the courtyard on the upper level, then, since Eta's given us a time limit for heading to the courtyard."

"Goodness, I won't loose him and he won't get lost." She huffed softly, shaking her head before giving Sumi a nudge out into the hall ahead of the two humans. Her voice was hushed when she spoke again. "We're heading downstairs. There's a blocked passage that Cordelia hasn't found yet, but it's worth taking a look at. The tech down there isn't anything compared to the technology we have back at the HQ, but... You did rather well with that and I want to see what you think of this."

"I've been trying to remember to do little things for myself lately. I didn't think it would be so difficult, but it's getting easier." She stepped out into the hall before glancing over her shoulder to her cousin. "It's hard to remember to do things for yourself when you're so used to doing them for other people-- being what they want you to be, or who they think you should be, instead of who you really are."

"I haven't been able to spend enough time with the technology here to see what is and isn't working, but I thought that today would be as good a time as any to get another look at things." The slender feline lead the way down the hall, cutting towards the stairwell that had been uncovered during the last visit to Corvus with the senshi cousins. She took a moment to let her eyes adjust, checking to make certain that Sumi was still following close behind before taking to the stairs.

"I keep getting strange sensations, though... As if there's something I've forgotten, or something that I should just know about some of these things. I can't quite put a paw on it, but it would be nice to have answers."
