Kami glared a bit as he looked down from the rooftop he was on. Part of him wished that there were more open spaces that he could go to for patrolling. Less civilians, fewer buildings in the way, not having to smell the stinky alleyways that usually were around the buildings, overall, roofs were just not that fun. Though, he had been told that a lot of agents liked to use the alleyways to more easily drain or kill victims which meant that he was often hanging around them more often than he wanted to. One would think that with all of the unconscious our dead people found in those alleyways that some owners would get some camera equipment, but considering so few of them even had video cameras inside of their store... there would be no convincing them. And so here he was above one of the buildings, having to smell the garbage that was casually tossed out and wishing that he was at home, or at least that he didn't feel the need to patrol, but it was a nice break from his sometimes overbearing family.

Crocoite was annoyed by his own lack of progress. He thought he would have been more than this by now, and yet he was still just a lowly lieutenant. His general had gone missing for a while there, though he was sure he had sensed her powering up, and imagined he would be seeing her soon enough. Whatever she did, she always had a plan behind it.
He liked that about her, really. She was impossible to predict, which he liked to think he was good at.
In any case, he needed to step up his game. Stalking his brother and nephew was fun and all, but he was getting no where in his quest for revenge. He felt the presence of a white moon soldier nearby and summoned his cane to his hand. If he focused on draining them, on getting their star seeds, perhaps he would earn his promotion faster.
It wouldn't hurt, anyway.
He made his way to the side of the building, looking up and sighing. Since teleporting was out of the question, he would have to climb up himself. That was very undignified, and another reason why he wished he had more power. He'd seen Painite do some amazing things, teleporting and leaping around with much more skill and grace than he was capable of at the moment.
Maybe if he stood down here, whoever was up there would come down to investigate.

As soon as Kami had thought he was done for the night, glaring down from the rooftop, that was fun but not good for eyebrow wrinkles, he sensed what seemed to be a Negaverse agent from down there. Unfortunately for him, the side of the building the aura was coming from was quite dark and Kami hadn't thought to bring any flashlights with him. Note to self, remember to bring flashlights the next time you go out alone at night to patrol.He wondered if he should go down there and confront whoever it was, though the last time he had done something like that, he had been confronted by a Negaverse Captain and well, that hadn't been fun. Still though, he would have to do it, even if there were no civilians around. He sighed, giving himself another minuted to think, before he went over to the more-lit corner of the building and hopped down, his back to the street. At least if someone was there they might reveal themselves. But his eyes had to adjust first.

Crocoite smiled, feeling the energy signal move. Good. The White Moon were always so curious about the negaverse, and came running whenever they sensed darkness nearby. He supposed that was their duty, though he preferred his own to being obligated to help random strangers all the time. He was free to cause what trouble he wanted, and make what deals he needed to further his own plans.
And of course, he could seek all the power he wanted.
"I was so hoping you would come down," he said, noting that the other was having trouble seeing in the darkness. For his part, Crocoite was more than used to hunting at night. It was something his General made sure he was comfortable in, as sometimes the best laid traps involved shadows and complete darkness.
He held his cane in one hand, swinging it leisurely as he strode closer.
"I supposed you've come to make sure I'm not up to anything evil, hm? Doing your nightly duty to protect the innocent people of this city, and all that? I often wonder what makes you chose such a life. It seems like such hard work, and very little pay off."

As his eyes adjusted, Kami could just make out the other figure and it seemed they were taking their sweet time coming towards him. Honestly, what was with these agent's that wanted to make such an entrance. It never impressed him. But he turned up an eyebrow at the other's words and noticed the cane that the other had. Not too bad of a weapon, that meant that this guy was a lieutenant. But a cane could still give one a nice concussion if he wasn't careful. "Choose such a life? I suppose, though when we're awakened, it doesn't seem to be much of a choice. And... I would bet that there are some that haven't chose to be in the Negaverse either, but I have no doubt that some of your comrades wouldn't be against using force to add more members." Seriously, what was this guy talking about? It's not like they got paid for doing this, but when you were White Moon you certainly didn't want the end of the universe coming about, which is what they were trying to prevent, in general at least. "But... it gives me an excuse to beat up people like you doesn't it? And it gives me something else to do. Surely you aren't so satisfied in your daily life?" However, Kami had readied himself, waiting for the moment that the lieutenant would strike, and in no way would Kami let the other get behind him.

"We are given power, structure, and control. Some of us don't particularly enjoy mindless violence, though it seems you are not of a like mind on that front."
He was playing it cool, but his body was already tense and ready for a fight. He was eager for it, really, which was strange for him. Usually he was as he said: not much for fighting. Something he did when he had to, and not because he wanted to. Tonight, though, he was in a different mood.
He grinned, spinning his cane around.
"I joined the right side, and I have not yet come to regret my decision. I live every night with a sense of pride and duty, a goal and a means to accomplish it. That is more than I could ask for, and yet it was given to me freely." He was not there to try and sell the Negaverse tonight, though.
Just some food for thought, he supposed.
Charging suddenly, he took his cane by the bottom of the staff, using both hands to power his swing and aiming the crocodile's head to meet his opponent's.

All Kami could hear was 'I'm a hypocrite, I'm a hypocrite!' from the agent. From what Kami knew so far from being with the White Moon, everything this guy said could apply to them. Honestly if Kami had felt a bit more strongly about all of this then he could say it was a sense of pride and a duty, a duty to stop people being drained and killed that is. Though the only problem with that was Kami was still more focused on himself, so this all felt like more of a side-job. However, thinking all of this hadn't distracted him from the agent's movements and he was able to just dodge the staff's head that was going to hit him. Kami aimed his hand at his opponent, making a slicing motion and hoping he would hit the other. "Surgeon's Cut!"Quote: all right, this should be the last edit I make to this freaking post! XD Focusing on a target, Kami makes a slicing motion with his hand as if holding a scalpel. Down the middle of the of the target's chest a thin line appears and it feels as if they are being cut open for surgery. Feels like getting cut by a knife (player can choose pain amount, on a scale of 1-10, between 1-3 on the scale). Line remains for 25 seconds and can be used 3 times in battle. Aka it won't hurt that much, but it still hurts.

Crocoite watched the senshi carefully, thinking that talking might not be this one's strong suit. Fighting might be, though, and the Nega found himself pretty interested in a good fight. He jumped back, holding his cane up defensively as he heard the attack being called.
Senshi magic was always annoying. Knights, too, had powers of some sort, though he was unfamiliar with what their weapons could really do. They seemed far more similar to the negaverse, though, which made it a little easier to predict. Senshi magic, though, was a complete unknown and each one seemed to have a completely different kind of power than the last.
With no real hints about what kind of power it would be. With a weapon, at least, one could see what was coming. For better or worse, fighting with weapons was straight forward. Still brutal and difficult, but at least not surprising.
Painite ranted about senshi magic all the time, Crocoite realized, and now it had him on edge. He couldn't get out of the way of the attack, though, so he just had to hope whatever magic it was, it was not too potent. Unfortunately for him, it felt as if it slit a cut right down the center of his chest, and he yelped in pain and surprise, though when he put his hand over the line there was no blood. It hurt, though, and he snarled in response.
"You'll pay for that!" He said, losing his cool and charging, swinging his cane at the Senshi.

Unfortunately for Kami, he had been unable to completely dodge the cane, and the head of it smacked right into his shoulder. Kami let out a quick "s***!" before jumping back a bit, trying to get away from the now enraged lieutenant. Honestly, why did they keep getting so angry when they knew a fight was coming Kami always wondered. Sort of like a 'I'll hurt you but don't you dare attack me back' sort of thing. He wasn't sure what to do for his next move, because if Kami did it again, it might just enrage the lieutenant more. He had two uses of it left, but decided that he would save them in case he really needed them. Instead, he tried to get to the lieutenant and grab his cane, possibly pulling it away from the other. It wasn't the... best of ideas. But the fight might be easier if he could get the other's 'weapon' out of their hands. Lithiasaur I've been super terrible about this rp, so if you want we can close it in a few posts so that you can get the req or continue it!

When the senshi grabbed his cane, he felt more anger tear through him. Suddenly, he could understand why Painite hated it so much when the white moon touched her staff.
It was a part of him. It was their weapon, their power, and it was their personal treasure. The white moon had no business getting their dirty finger prints on his cane.
"Let go of that, you little brat!" he snarled, tugging it backwards as hard as he could. He banished it to free it from Kami's hold, and lunged in that moment of confusion to swing his fist for the senshi's face. It was much more unrefined than he was used to, but he was learning that there really was no respectable way to fight.
So just doing the most damage had to do.
