Jason had hoped that taking his brother to the library would have helped with the other's stress a bit, or perhaps Tom could have gotten a few books to distract him from whatever was messing with his brain, but ultimately nothing had come of it, other than Tom leaving first, waving to his brother that he would be all right. Feeling a bit depressed from how his older brother had been acting, he had stayed until the library closed, checking out a couple of books that his brother might want to read in the future. However, it was so late by the time the library had closed, that Jason had thought it better to power up just in case. He knew as a civilian that he would be of no match if a Negaverse agent targeted him. And he figured that he would be a bit more of a target at night. So as quietly as he could, he powered up with the intention of going back to his brother's apartment that the older boy had been allowing him to stay at, hopefully without catching anyone's attention. Without knowing it though, Alphubel was quite distracted, unable to really check to see what kind of auras may have been around him. It seemed that he would be an easy target either way.

Camelot and Hadaya spent a lot of time together at the library, so they had gotten used to being a patrol duo. The kitty was not all that useful, looking more for cuddles and friends than anything else, but he was a good conversation when things were quiet, and Camelot liked to stand quietly while holding the tiny, short limbed guardian while scratching Hadaya's ears.
Which Hadaya would never say no to.
Because Hadaya tended to dampen white moon auras when he was relaxed, Camelot almost missed the feeling of someone powering up nearby, though it tickled the back of his head and he instinctively turned his head in its direction despite the owner not actually being within sight. Camelot was on the roof, after all, where he always started his nightly patrols.
He hopped down from the roof, dropping with a heavy clang, and yet a light landing that did no harm to his feet, and moved to find the source of the aura. Hadaya, a bit frazzled by suddenly jumping off a roof without being told, dug his claws into the armor of Camelot's arm.
"Hello there," Camelot said, spotting Alphubel and offering a friendly smile and wave with his free hand.

Alphubel had been so distracted that when the other knight had dropped down and greeted him, Alphubel leapt almost a foot in the air. He quickly composed himself though. "I'm sorry about that. I was a bit distracted..." He looked at the knight. He was certainly someone that Alph had never met before, and seemed to have a bit of a friendly prescence. Well, at least I'm not going to be yelled at for being distracted then. Alph thought as he looked at the other. "Oh um... Sorry, I'm Alphubel, a Squire of Polaris. May I ask what your name is?" He was a bit embarrassed to be caught like this and wasn't sure what to say in the moment. Though he did notice the cat that was with the man. "Oh wow, another Guardian Cat!" He said, a bit surprised as he looked at the kitty. This was only the second one he had seen after all, but like his older brother, he was a sucker for cats. A bit quickly he said, "You guys are so cool."

Camelot smiled, shaking his head and indicating that there was nothing to be sorry for. He felt bad, in fact, for startling the poor Squire. He really needed to stop dropping down on people like that, as it did seem to cause more problems than not.
But it was also the easiest way down.
"My name is Camelot, Royal Knight of Earth," he said, bowing his head in greeting. He liked to be polite, and bowing had just become a part of his routine. He knew it looked a little silly, especially if he caught himself doing it when he was a run of the mill librarian, but to him it felt properly respectful.
Hadaya leaned out as far as he could from Camelot's arms, sniffing at the Squire eagerly.
"You think I'm cool?! I think YOU'RE cool!" Hadaya exclaimed eagerly, wiggling his little paws and holding them out toward Alphubel. Camelot sighed, but let Hadaya do as the excitable little cat wanted to do.
"This is Hadaya," he said, since the guardian cat opted not to introduce himself. "It's nice to meet you, Alphubel. I'm sorry if I scared you before, I just like to introduce myself to knights I don't know."

"Camelot? That is a great name!" That was also pretty cool actually. But the man did say 'Royal Knight' and Alphubel had never heard of that. "Royal Knight? What's a Royal Knight?" He couldn't help but ask, his curiosity getting the better of him. He blushed a bit as the man bowed his head, as Alphubel didn't feel that important. He realized that he might have been a bit rude. "It's very nice to meet you too Camelot." He turned his attention back to Hadaya for a bit and smiled. Cats, even guardian cats, always helped him to relax a bit more. Though he wasn't sure if the cat just wanted to shake hands or be picked up. "You want to get closer?" But then he heard Camelot tell him what the cat's name was. "Ah Hadaya, it's nice to meet you. And uh, it's okay. I just get scared a bit easily. Not sure why, I guess I'm not used to it. I just have to train myself a bit..." Though he knew that was only partially the reason. The main reason was he had been distracted with what was going on with his older brother and was more often than not zoned out so things or people suddenly popping into his vision were always surprising him.

Camelot chuckled, nodding his head in thanks. He did like his name, but it was a very long story. He felt deeply tired to his Wonder, at least, and that only furthered his loyalty to Earth and to the White Moon. It made him believe in destiny, and that what he was doing now was what he was made to do. It just took him longer to get there than most, as he was much older than many of the young knights and senshi running around.
Something a lot of them did not let him forget.
"A Royal Knight is very much like a Princess or Prince of the White Moon, a royal class above that of a Knight or an Eternal Senshi. I have the power to purify Negaverse soldiers who choose to join us into knights, and a few other little skills here and there." Camelot was explaining things leisurely, while Hadaya was still wiggling to get closer to Alphubel. Camelot released his hold, letting the cat use his hands and arms as a spring board so he could jump into Alphubel's arms.
Whether he was ready to catch the pudgy, short limbed cat or not.
"It's okay," Hadaya purred, "I am jumpy, too! Except usually when I get scared I run into something or fall off something, so at least you're doing better in that regard!"

Alphubel was pretty surprised. He didn't remember being told about any Royal Knights before... they must be very rare! "Wow! That sounds amazing! It would be awesome to purify Negaverse agents!" Though the agents that he himself had met so far... they probably belonged more in the Negaverse than anything. He couldn't imagine letting murders who so callously took lives being so easily forgiven, though he imagined that Camelot had to be sure when he did it. The next surprise came when Hadaya sprang into Alphubel's arms and he barely had time to catch the guardian kitty, though he wasn't mad. He immediately started to pet Hadaya, glad that he could at least do that much. "Well... thanks! I'm trying to be better but... I don't think I've actually done that much. I mean, I was surprised when I managed to advanced, though I'm not sure how I earned it exactly. I don't believe I'm that good at fighting at least." He replied, chuckling a bit. It was true though, he didn't remember winning any battles, for all of his effort so far, all he had gotten was some PTSD. He looked back at Camelot. "If I may ask... what sort of stuff do you do for training? I've gotten some... not enough to feel like I would be good at fighting or defending myself and I seem to run into more trouble than I can handle more often than not..."

Camelot smiled, chuckling as he considered just how awesome it was to be able to help people leave Chaos behind them. It was, really, one of the most important things he had ever done with his life, and he was honored to have the ability and strength to do something meaningful. He had always cared about others, but his power to help had always been limited. Now, he felt, he was finally able to do something vital.
And it was pretty awesome.
"Becoming a Squire or a Knight is not just about strength, at least not just physical strength. Your powers grow with your heart, with your confidence and yes, sometimes, your accomplishments. Sometimes, it can happen when you need it most, or when your potential for doing great things, whether you think you can or not, awakens in a moment of need or clarity. No one can ever really predict these things, though there are markers, and feelings. Little hints, I suppose. At least, I can feel them."
He watched Hadaya thoughtfully, though the Guardian cat seemed perfectly happy now that he was cradled against Alphubel, absorbing the affection from the pets he was getting and purring away. He was a rumbling tub of fluff, and sometimes Camelot thought he was more cat than guardian.
"Training? Well, I usually go to my Wonder. I have a dragon there, and I will bring my friend, a half-youma who wants to purify, and he's been working with me and those that want to learn more about fighting. I find I am better at passing on knowledge than fighting. Those who can't, teach, and all that." He was being a little modest, but only because he did not exactly like fighting, whether he was good at it or not. "But I'm always willing to help someone, if you'd like."

Alphubel felt a lot better about himself and his role after conversing with Camelot. Perhaps it was because he hadn't had a lot of guidance before, but it was nice to speak to someone who was so experienced and who knew that at least it wasn't all physical. "I think I get what you're saying. I still need to work on my confidence a bit, even though I'm pretty confident by myself but when it comes to others... I tend to default to someone else as the leader. And I really hope that I can learn to fully use my powers. I really hope that I can learn to be better before I become a knight though. I sort of stumbled my way through being a page and as a squire I know that I can't do that anymore."Suddenly though, Alphubel realized how late it was and knew that he needed to get back quickly. "I... have to pretty soon. I didn't know how late it was. If possible... could I get your information Camelot? So I could contact you if I have some questions? I promise I won't bother you all the time I shouldn't have that many questions at least..." He muttered the last part. He was sad to have to give Hadaya back, it was nice to have a kitty purring in his arms once again, and made him realize how much he missed the cats at their parents house, the ones that were actually his brother's. Alphubel pet Hadaya a bit more. "It was so nice to meet you Hadaya. If we meet again, I'll make sure to give you tons of pets."Looking back at Camelot he said, "Thank you so much for talking to me tonight. It's hard when you're still not sure of what to do and knowing that I don't have to obsess over all of this is very comforting. And I'd like to talk again." He made sure to stay long enough so that they traded information and he gave Hadaya back, though a bit reluctantly, and said his goodbyes when they could finally part. Lithiasaur All right there's my end post, thanks so much!

SSBrosB Closer from me XD That took forever. I am sorry. Camelot nodded his head, which was a little like a bow as the conversation came to an end. He was always glad to talk to others, and help as best as he could. Usually, it just came in the form of sharing information, but it was an overlooked part of the job that seemed all too easy, somehow, and yet was forgotten too often.
Talking was as important as training, in many ways. Information could be vital.
"Of course!" He was easy to contact, of course, and kept his signet ring as well as the library phone open for anyone that needed to talk to him. And of course, finding him at his patrol location was easy considering how very massive his aura was. It was hard not to notice him, really.
"Have a good night, Alphubel," Camelot said, taking Hadaya. The cat looked sad to let go of his cuddle friend, but he supposed Camelot was not a bad exchange. He purred and nuzzled against Camelot's chest, apparently very happy but also very sleepy after making his new friend.
Camelot shook his head at the cat, but held him safely in one arm so he could use the other one to wave.
