There were a lot of times that Caliban found himself happy that he had his parkour skills. They often helped him to catch up to whatever or whomever he was going after. If it was in the alleyways he would use his skills to maneuver the sides of the buildings, though it would probably just be easier to jump from roof to roof, but when one is in the middle of an adrenaline rush, the brain doesn't always think of the most practical things. And that's where he found himself tonight, running after another youma. Or at least he thought it was. The aura matched one, but as of yet he had been unable to even catch up to it it was so fast. Luckily that meant it also didn't have time to go after any targets, but Caliban wanted to get rid of it anyway in case it killed more people. What he wasn't expecting as he rounded the next corner, jumping from the opposite building to launch himself a bit around the corner, was running into something somewhat soft and something that didn't smell like trash. Unfortunately for him that something was a someone and he was afraid that he had just hurt someone very badly. "****." He cursed as he tried as quickly as he could to get himself up.

The someone who had been run into, and run over, was a knight and she was not at all pleased. It wasn't just with being run over, that wasn't the main issue, it was the youma she'd sensed while patrolling and had just started to pursue as well. Unaware that someone else was after it, her ability to sense others was rather limited...sadly.
Cursing from where she was on the ground the squire of Castor wriggled under the senshi. "Get off, that damn youma is gonna get away." or at least out of range for her to sense. "God damn sandals...make it impossible to run." She could have, and should have, traded them in for sneakers tonight but it was so damn hot out that the idea of encasing her feet so fully was rather...unpleasant.
She had. while running, had a rock get kicked up and into one of her sandals, thanks to the open parts of the footwear she had been cursed with, and she'd stepped on it - hard. Lifting her foot, to try and shake the offending rock out she had been run right over...and by one of the other good guys no less. Now if he'd just get off her!
Wriggling some more she pushed at him. "Come on, that youma is gonna get away." Huffing under the larger body as she stared up at them with pale blue eyes.SSBrosB Good? I hope it's good, let me know. I can edit.

Caliban cursed a bit more to himself as he tried to get off of the page as quickly as possible without hurting either of them further. Really, this was the second time this kind of thing happened, though before it was with a little kid, what was with him?! Looking at the page beneath him, he saw that it was a female with pale blue eyes and white hair. He was stunned for a second before his brain finally caught up with him and he could finally understand what she was saying. "Sorry! I was too focused on hunting that youma..." He replied, trying to sense it's aura, but unfortunately, even for his recently advanced senses of detecting aura he could not longer feel it. "****." He silently cursed to himself. "The youma's gone unfortunately. We could still try to tail it but... I don't think we would get too hard." He said as he pushed himself up, feeling a bit sore in his shoulder now. He slowly got up, now that the youma wasn't near and turned to offer her his hand. "I'm sorry, sometimes my mind just creates a tunnel vision on whatever the target is and I don't notice much else." He said, hoping that he might placate her a bit. He still felt bad though considering it was his fault.

Laughing from her place under him she shook her head against the ground. "You and me both." She stated with laughter in her voice as she was finally able to get up. Glad for the hand up she thanked him before turning her focus onto herself and staring down at her dress. Sighing she moved to fix it and dust herself off some.
"It's fine...I can do the same thing." A lot actually. her cousins had more than once scolded her for diving head first into things, as was a habit for her "I might have been able to have that youma if these shoes weren't so damn open, I kicked up a rock into them." Scowling down at the offending foot wear, she really did dislike them. Taking an experimental step she found them free of rocks; a good thing. But that still didn't fix the whole lost youma thing.
"That one was moving fast - wasn't it? For it to already be out of range for us both..." She was surprised it hadn't stopped and come back around for them, taken advantage of them both being down and on the ground.
"I'm Gorner by the way." Holding out her own hand now.
SSBrosB Her hair is white just an fyi. Her powered art is red but it was a lost bet. it's naturally white,. the dyes come out since that art. ::Snickers::need to get her second stage art - so bad.

Caliban smiled at her, glad that she wasn't angry at him. Well, at least he had found someone who did some of the same stuff he did, head-first wise. He looked at her shoes when she mentioned them and he did have to agree that perhaps sandals weren't the best when it came to running. "It's weird what some of our powered outfits are. I wish I could choose what I wore sometimes you know?" He had to admit, he hadn't been quite the fan of the sleveless, tie-on skin outfit that he had before, but he almost felt like this one was just as ridiculous, like he belonged in Old England or something. "At least you don't have heals on those sandals though, I'm not sure how some people run in those."He nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I've never seen one go that fast. I didn't even see what it looked like." He just knew it was there and that he was following it. "Perhaps it was speedy, but didn't have much power to attack someone like us compared to normal civilians."He smiled at her and shook her hand with his. "Caliban. It's nice to meet you Gorner, even if running into you wasn't the best way to do it." He replied, chuckling a bit. "What type of knight are you? I've never seen uh... well I guess 'your type'. Though the rest of your outfit does look nice."

"I don't know either. I'd have broken the hells off by now on purpose." Heels were, in her opinion, rather useless unless they were the sort which you found on hiking boots or some other useful piece of footwear. "Whatever designed my outfit...should be fired." Because if she made squire and found up with someone even more feminine, and in her opinion useless, she would not be happy.
"I haven't seen many youma but out of those I have - that's the fastest." Although the one which had been outside the indoor rock climbing facility she frequented had been quick, it had taken her and a Mars knight with a net to catch it. "Could be. Also depends, I assume, on what form it had.
"I'm a knight of Castor..well a Page...but knight is also a rank. Again...someone decided on something which made no sense." Rolling her pale blue eyes. Really...call them knights while also making knight a rank. Someone up there, if there was something like fate, really needed to be fired.
"The rest of my outfit...there is no way to appropriately fight in a dress like this." She said shaking her head, tugging at her dress to indicate the right high slit up each side. "it gives good movement for the legs but besides that..." It was just annoying and inappropriate.
"What about you...what's your sphere?"

Caliban chuckled at her complaining. He remembered when he had been complaining about his own outfit. "Well eventually you get... well more used to it. I think once one starts fighting they tend to forget unless the outfit is somehow part of their powers or something. Though... for being a, uh, page-knight, you would think that they would give you more protective armor." She did really look nice in that dress in his opinion, but he still thought everyone should be able to choose their outfit. "Yeah, don't quite get the naming conventions. Wouldn't something like 'guardian' or 'protector' work as the name for what you guys are, and then going page, squire, knight?" Though senshi to super senshi wasn't much better. It reminded him of Dragonball Z and he wondered if eventually they would have to come up with other ranks and they would be 'Super Senshi 2'. He nodded his head in agreement with her assessment of her outfit. "Yeah... more like you're going to a nice evening party and less doing fighting.
"Uh... well it's kind of silly looking at my outfit, but my sphere is 'sealing'." And he knew from experience he would have to clarify what was meant by sealing. "So more like you seal something like a letter or a hole or something, not actual ceilings." He replied, sighing. His outfit didn't really show what his sphere was, but he supposed he could catch enemies off guard that way.

"Yeah...you do forget then...but the idea of flashing someone." While she had undergarments on...they didn't do a good job of covering much. The dress would flash a lot more than he liked. But she was also the jeans and t-shirt, or tank top, sorta person. She was a tomboy of sorts, so dresses and skirts were not her thing. "I'm hoping for some more armor." Since she had thankfully gotten some as a page. She could only hope for a bit more, she could use it as she rather liked diving right into things.
"That would be easier...to keep track of. The titles we have...it makes it more complicated really." But someone, or something, had decided on the mess they had of being knights while also having knight as a rank.
"For a party, a really formal one, the dress would work -armor aside of course." She doubted armor would look good at any party, though she did make it look good - really good.
Hmm...sealing. Nope, his outfit didn't say sealing. Though what his magic could do, given that sphere, was rather curious also. "Don't worry, not all outfits show the sphere well. My cousins got lucky - their outfits tell what they're sphere is...or at least one of them does. The other has options but it works." Cold and heat - fitting for the twins.
"Want to walk and talk? We can patrol whilst we talk. Maybe we'll find some other youma." Or more...maybe an officer.

"Well if you do flash someone, maybe it can serve as a good accidental distraction?" He chuckled a bit. "Just joking of course, but I wish the outfits we got were a bit more to our own tastes. Maybe once you become a squire you won't be uh... showing as much? More armor would be good for a knight." After all his outfit had covered up a bit more after he had become a super senshi. Or at least he had some sleeves. But considering he was a "Sailor" senshi, he didn't expect much in the way of protection. He nodded. "Well I don't know, you make the whole outfit look pretty good, I'm sure they wouldn't mind a bit of armor with it." Not that he had ever really gone to any formal parties. "Well, the fact that everyone's outfit is a bit different helps even if they may not hint to what the sphere is." He shrugged, but was glad she suggested they patrol together. "That would be great. I mean, I really haven't patrolled with someone else before, or at least for that long, but it will be nice getting to know each other a bit more and possibly stopping some Negaverse agent."He moved his hand to the side in a gesture that implied "after you". "If you want, you can choose the direction, I'll go wherever you want."

Choking a bit on laughter at the others comment about her flashing someone, and it working in her favor, she shook her head. Well, he certainly didn't worry about what he said and offending someone - that was good. She could, and did, appreciate that. She wasn't one to beat around the bush, she didn't have the time, and it would take a lot to offend her. To hear the words, simple as they seemed, was nice. "No-no, don't worry. I'm glad you don't hold back on saying something. Too many people worrying about what others say or think...it's all annoying and time consuming." And she could find better ways to spend her time - a lot of better ways.
"More armor would be nice...I have to admit, I like the upper part of the shoes and the chest plate is useful also. The colors work as well." Given her white hair and pale blue eyes it worked very well. "I wish we could pick our own outfits. Maybe even seasonal...winter was not nice in this." It wasn't as bad as she'd thought it would be but she'd still put a coat to use, she'd needed it.
"Depends on the party. I'm sure some would mind armor with this dress...some may not - those sorts of parties would be more interesting." Anything too formal and she'd be bored, and itching to escape. She didn't know how people with money played the game of dress up and go to fancy, boring, parties.
"Mmm, it would be nice. I will tell you now though...I have no magic. A page doesn't have magic...and a tiny little vase, which is the weapon I was given, doesn't serve much purpose. I'm not totally useless though." No, she could manage to handle her own in a fight. Not that she had martial arts training or anything like that, though it was a good idea, she just wasn't an idiot.
"Alright, how about we go this way." Jerking her head in a random direction. "By the way...you can Keely if you really want...or Key for short." Not that it was really that much shorter than her name normally was, it was still a nickname and she was used to it."

Caliban felt as though he could easily talk to this woman, which was strange. Sure, he had been able to talk to other knights and senshi a bit more easily than strangers, even though that's what they were most of the time, but Gorner seemed very easy to get along with and they at least had a couple of things in common, like running into others and not really like their uniforms. "Thanks, I appreciate that. Sometimes I come out as a bit blunt for some people. Yeah, it's annoying having to carry a coat around with you sometimes. And then not being able to take off what you need to if you're too hot in the summer." So far it hadn't bothered him unless he had been powered up out in the daytime, though who knew what was in store for him with his next outfit. It could be even worse. He shrugged. "Not all parties are fun, but I would mostly go for the food myself." If there was any. Sometimes there were parties held at dinnertime with no food for the entire night. Not fun. "Well, I think it's a little bit better if you don't start out with magic. When I started out I think I relied on my magic a bit too much... but I've had some battles and I've trained a bit with others, and I would prefer to use physical force before using any magic myself. Don't want to be too dependent on it after all. So it's good if you can hold your own in a battle!" He said, nodding and following her in the direction that she had motioned to with her head. "All right uh... Key. If you don't mind me using that one. You can call me Derrick." He tended not to use nicknames. Too many Ricky and Dicky jokes for his taste. "It's nice to talk to you Key." He replied, smiling at her.

"I'd rather someone be blunt and honest beat around the bush or not say something at all. I honestly haven't the time for making things sound nice." She didn't have the time for a lot of things, often leaving things unfinished and without much warning. But it was always for a good reason, at least she thought so. "It's not like we have a place to put things we take off...or keep things we may want to put on. Like some magical locker we can store things in." Which would, admittedly, be nice and really amazing if you asked her.
"Mmmm....so long as the food is good and not those finger foods that don't even count as a snack. You would need a platter or two just to count as a snack with some of those little finger foods." Rolling her eyes at the idea of people serving such ridiculously small amounts of food. "Worse is when it's not something being walked about at a party but it's the size of a meal course..." And often times it was expensive as well. "So if the food is good and a normal size...I might be willing to deal with a dress."
"Mmm, I've been trying to work on training, but it's not easy finding people. I don't know many other people aside from my cousins...and as much as I wouldn't mind inviting them. I don't need the normal teasing and banter you get with family." It was nice however having family involved in the war, they could provide information and you could always compare notes with them. It was all useful really, especially when they'd been involved longer than she had been and they were senshi - not knights. It meant a different perspective than her own.
"I agree with you though, I do prefer physical as well. But having magic as a backup would be nice. I'm sure I'll get it though - in time." Shrugging a bit she flashed the other a bright smile. "For some reason my family wanted to shorten the name Keely...so came up with Key. Anyway, it's good to meet you Derrick, and it's nice to talk to you also." It really was, he was one of a few she now knew. It was slowly, very slowly, expanding. Maybe she should just get out more? Somehow cut back on some other things and do more of this knight thing...it could be exciting after all.

"I agree. I don't like it when people feel the need to keep important information behind some silly reason. If it hurts feelings but must be said, better to say it earlier than wait until it builds up." At this he sighed, slightly annoyed with himself knowing that even he didn't follow that advice. After all, his family had been wondering what he was up to this whole time since he had less time to be at home since his awakening. After all, he couldn't just go and tell them that he was out trying to defeat an otherworldly evil. "It would be nice to have the locker though. Or some sort of device. Honestly, they seem to just awaken us and leave us to figure things out ourselves. It would be nice to have a little more help, whether that was a brochure of some sort or giving us a place to store things. Though I supposed this is something that's reflective of a lot of superhero cliches. I mean, Spiderman has to keep his clothes somewhere while he's out beating up villains, right?" Though still... He himself had pretty much just been awakened and then sent off on his own to do well... whatever he could. No wonder there were so many agents. Senshi and page's were pretty much left to their own devices once they go their powers. He grunted a bit and rolled his eyes. "I don't understand it either. Or at least if you're only going to serve people finger-food, warn them first so they can actually get a decent meal before going to the party. Don't force them to starve as they attend. I'm not sure about you, but it gets really hard for me to concentrate on things if I'm too hungry. Though I'd rather just ditch the entire thing." He supposed he didn't have much to complain about though since the amount of times he had been invited to fancy parties was... zero. It was only a few family weddings that he had had the 'lovely' experience of standing around for hours talking to people and getting pretty much nothing to eat. When he got married, he would make sure there would be plenty of food, or warn people if it was during an eating time and there would be no food. "Training is... hard. I've gotten some, and there have been a few who were eager to help me but... I feel like I need some actual training. Sure, those who are more experienced could help me a bit better, but I don't think I can develop the reflexes I need if I'm not doing it on a normal basis. And most of the time when I do train with others, it's random. Though if you get to train with your cousins, that could be lucky. I only have my little brother and extended family are... not really close in terms of geographical distance.
"Magic is... nice. And I'm sure you will. I feel a bit bad that you guys are thrust out into all of this without even magic, though I suppose there's a reason for it. Just like everything else we do in all of this." He replied, sighing a bit, but not at her. Just the situation. "Well, that certainly is an interesting nickname. And it's good to meet you too, especially knowing your civilian name. Everyone seems kind of... distant when you only meet up in powered form. I mean we have our ways of communicating, but it's not enough... They need to think of a better way for senshis and knights to communicate in my own opinion." He replied, wondering if he could suggest it to... well he supposed some guardian cat somewhere. Apparently they were in charge of the tech stuff according to what he had heard. They were starting to move a bit more towards the interior of the park, perhaps a bit slowly, and so far, even when only feeling for chaos signatures every so often, none had appeared so far. So for now, they were safe in their conversation.

She did agree with what he said. Keeping important information was just...not good, it tended to lead to people getting hurt whether it be physical or emotional and mental. It was generally a bad thing. But she also just didn't like people lying or sugar coating things. Tell things like they were and that be that. Let the dust settle where it would when all was said and done. "I agree." She said lightly. She knew at times it bothered people how she spoke, that she was always in a rush, and didn't care much how it affected people but it was how she was. And she did care, she didn't like bothering people, but she figured it was a better use of her time and other peoples time. It got more accomplished and done.
"I got lucky, I have two cousins who are senshi. So I wasn't all alone...but I can't imagine why we'd be awakened and then given no sort of magical help or knowledge. It leaves us weak and open to being killed, brought over to the other side, or a host of other things. Whatever runs this whole thing, if there is something out there in charge of this all, really sucks." She didn't know spiderman, she wasn't one for comics and heros and such, but she knew enough of him to know the typical hero cliches and that he wore a spandex uniform in red and blue with a spider on it. Didn't everyone? She doubted they really got into what superheroes did with their normal clothing, when they went to pull on the super hero outfits, but there was someplace he traded one outfit in for another. They had a place also, some magical place that they couldn't visit, but why could it be like a closet and offer some more weather appropriate things also?
"I suppose it makes us like the Negaverse...no magic at first. We both get weak items to carry about. It makes training a must for us and for them. I haven't gotten around to it with my cousins. I've been thinking of a gym or some sort of boxing or kickboxing. I'm not sure. At least I have the endurance and activity level to manage something like that." She just didn't know if she had the strength, though she knew powered up she was stronger.
"I think it's more than just a better way to communicate. I think we need to work together more - socially. Get to know each other better and be friends. We need to be better connected. Like you said, we all seem so distant - and we do." Shaking her head. "So....that said. Why don't we take to training together. We could even find some sort of lessons to take together. That way we can work together, to get ahead, outside of lessons. Something to continue while powered." It wasn't a bad idea, at least she didn't think so, it held promise. A friendship and someone else to train with, a challenge for her, and maybe it would keep her from wandering away from a commitment...as she often did. She had a bad habit of signing up for things...and drifting away from it after some time. She always went into things planning to stick with them...and rarely ever did. it's why she was not signed up for a membership at the indoor rock climbing center she went to. She went climbing there at random times and sometimes wouldn't go for weeks. Other times she'd be there every day for a week or two straight. They were used to it.

Caliban grinned widely. "Well, sounds like a plan then! And I need to be better about getting into a routine anyway, so at least this way I can start with something." Parkour would have to take a bit of a back-seat anyway with the upcoming weather. Sure, fall wasn't too bad, but one really didn't want to be outside doing it in the ice and snow. That was a recipe for disaster. So if he could train with Key, he would be able to keep his reflexes and such in tip top shape without having to wait out the winter months with almost nothing to do but practice calligraphy. "Unfortunately I don't have anything on me right now that I could give you my information but if you want to, we could power down and talk about this over coffee or something. Maybe not coffee if you don't want to stay up too late, but just go somewhere and somehow exchange our info and that way we can research where and what we want to do and then find out what's the best time for the two of us to go." He said, thinking about what would be the best for them to practice. There were so many ways to go about fighting and unless you were an expert in everything you could only really try and train for one or two... and then of course it was being able to meet up regularly... And so, depending on her acceptance of his invitation, they would most likely go about and exchange their information and then go to bed for the night, with Caliban being especially tired since he felt a bit of stress come off of his shoulders. Sleet Tempest Snape I am terrible with end posts but there you go! Thanks so much for the rp!
