It was too hot. Way too hot and way too muggy, and unfortunately that meant that the bugs were all out in force, something Derrick could not stand. Sure, he liked to be outside, but that didn't mean he liked being bitten the entire time. And then of course the heat would really only go away at night to a more reasonable level but otherwise... summer was a drag.
And he found that, powering up during summer was even worse. Caliban silently pleaded in his head for the weather to become more like spring or fall, at least those were reasonable!
He sighed as he walked around the park for a bit, looking at his phone, and wishing his powered uniform had longer sleeves, though he was grateful that his legs were fully covered. Honestly, the only reason he had gone out tonight at all was he felt as though he had been slacking in the... taking care of evil part of his job description as a senshi. But it had just been too hot! So, instead he had chosen a night to patrol a bit longer than he usually would when he had the next day off so that he could catch up on sleep.
He was about to go and turn around when he felt a shiver go up his spine. He had this feeling before, only it seemed... stronger this time. Definitely negaverse and felt more like... a youma! He looked around a bit, trying to figure out where it was coming from, but the aura was so strong, it almost felt as though it was coming from everywhere...

Sorry about the wait, I was trying to come up with a decent enough reply!
Bugs had their way of finding him when he was out and about.
One of them, a giant representative of both insect and human. Beneath the folds of Bazzite's long wings crawled all manner of insect - beetles, flies, even the occasional ant and moth found their way to his form. The humidity was a delicious reprieve, a chance to drink and to clean themselves before moving on.
Bazzite, however, was an exception. His next destination was walking around before him.
Beneath the shadows of a large tree sat the youma, sprawled out in all of his six-and-a-half feet of glory, lounging much like a cat would. He could have been resting, could have been waiting. Whatever he was up to was pleasantly interrupted and the youma called out to the senshi in his distinctive metallic, hollow voice. "Ah, who wanders into my parlor? Senshiiiii... you look bored!"

The sound of bugs had grown a bit louder, to the point where it caught his attention and he heard the voice talking to him. Yep, definitely a youma. He thought as he looked around some more and finally found a pair of glowing eyes looking at him. And from this distance he could tell that the youma was attracting a bunch of bugs. Caliban grimaced a little.
He was surprised though that a youma could talk like that! He had only ever seen feral ones at this point. For one to be able to communicate with humans... it was unnerving to say the least. "Well, I was bored." He said, pausing, trying to figure out what to do next. Currently, all of the youma he had seen had always gone after people. This one... he only assumed that it was the same, but it seemed to have a bit more of a brain. "I've never seen a youma like you before."

"Oh? You haven't?"
The youma shifted himself in the shadows, rising to all fours like a lion hunting its prey. Slowly did the youma approach the super senshi, glowing eyes locked onto Caliban at all times. A quick buzz of his wings was both loud and sudden, for anything as large as Bazzite would make a great deal of noise in flight. The vibration sent the insects beneath his wings and on his skin into motion, a small swarm skittering in all directions.
"How's about I give you a closer look, then?
Soon though, the youma would reach the edge of the shadows and be seen in full moonlight. Standing to his full height before stepping out from the shadows, Bazzite closed the distance between himself and his intended meal. Let Caliban get a good, long look at the youma who could speak and think like a human can.
With a sly smile, Bazzite presented himself. "So... what do you think, Senshi?"

Caliban really didn't like the youma getting up. He also didn't like the noise it was making or the fact that it decided to get really close towards him. The last time that happened he was almost killed, and so his senses went on the alert immediately, almost unable to hear what the youma was saying. His eyes went wide and his mouth refused to let any sound out and stayed decidedly shut.
He took a moment to say anything, his thoughts racing at a mile a minute and overall just trying not to panic. He backed up a little, though he figured that the youma might follow him. "Interesting... Seal Matrix!" He said as he threw his fist at the youma's left arm. He figured that the youma was up to something, and he wouldn't let it strike him if he had the chance.

Bazzite didn't expect a retaliation so quickly, and was unprepared for a punch to his arm. It went limp and the youma growled in surprise. "HEY. What did you do?!"
The youma attempted to move said arm but found it was paralyzed. Something the senshi did, and Bazzite didn't like it. The retaliation made him much angrier than he had been, and angry also meant hungry. Lunging forward towards Caliban, Bazzite almost commended the senshi for quick thinking - the youma was predominantly left-handed.
"You'll pay for that, senshi!" The claws of his right hand swiped at the senshi, aiming for the chest.

Unfortunately, Caliban had mostly reacted out of fear and wasn't trying to make the youma angry. But that's what happened and now the youma was angry.
Luckily, Caliban was able to react in time to the claw swipe, but only to where he wasn't seriously hurt. The youma did manage to cut him a bit and slice the front of his clothes. "****." He muttered the curse. Sure, he wasn't hurt too bad, but the darn cuts felt at least like paper cuts, and that was not fun to have on the chest. Or anywhere really.
Once he was able to regain his footing, he glared at the youma. "I paralyzed your arm. I can do it again if you want, though luckily for you it's only temporary." He said slightly sarcastically. After all, it wasn't in his favor that the youma would be able to move his arm again pretty soon. He lunged at the youma, trying to hit him with another punch, though this time at the youma's chest. "Seal Matrix!" At this point though, Caliban knew he was out of his league when it came to this youma. Sure, others he had battled against had been tough but it seemed, at least in this instance, that humanoid youma might be in a different league of toughness.

Shockingly, after Caliban had explained what his magic does on impact, Bazzite smiled. It was a predatory, toothy grin and the youma stood still to take the punch to his chest. The punch had some force behind it, causing the locust beast to step back a few paces to keep his footing. The youma stretched his neck and cracked it, wondering how many more times Caliban could pull it off.
"Luckily for you," he started, wings expanding out to their full, very wide length. Slowly, quietly, they began to vibrate. "I don't need my chest for this. Your magic's pretty neat, but I have much own way to paralyze people. Breathe deep, Senshi!"
The vibration and its volume increased quickly over the next few seconds, a semi-translucent pollen starting to fill the air around the youma. Without paralyzed legs, Bazzite could easily start walking forward to make sure Caliban got a nice, deep whiff of the stuff.
Basically, if he breathes it or it lands on his skin, Caliban is paralyzed for about 30 seconds. Run dude, run!

Caliban considered his options, though there really only two. The first one was running and the second was fighting and probably being killed in a horrific way. Well... he knew which option he was taking. "Well... I think it's time for me to get going. But you were certainly worth meeting at least." For him to get an idea of some of the stronger youma at least. And if he ever met this particular one again, then he at least knew chest punching was out of the question.
Caliban took a few steps back, and then fully started to run away from the youma, hoping that the thing wasn't too fast, or at least decided that he wasn't worth catching. If there was one thing he learned from this encounter, it was to communicate to others who might wander around there at night that the aura they would feel was that of a very powerful youma.
