As night takes over and pushes the sun into the depths the cold takes over, a rising northern wind filled with ice crystals that whipped and cut at the flesh. The wind was violent and crashed against the windows, most harshly in Bellris as it the villages and cities nearest the edge of the world vanished as a heavy unforgiving snow seemed to rise from beyond the edge and blanket them in a flurry a hundred feet deep and crashing up against the Shadow City of Bellris, turning all the north sides of the buildings into a frigged ice, but it doesn't stop their as any crops the Bellris had not yet harvested are frozen in a mater of minutes and are unusable.
But Bellris is not the only place effected by the sudden gale, the cold reaches into the bones of Zalto and Ethe at the same time, the barrier put up by the fire goddess seeming to help just a little as instead of frozen crops the plants of Ethe are encrusted in a heavy layer of frost but as the snow continues to pile up many of Ethe's roofs threaten to collapse.
While in Zalto the northern sides of its buildings are coated in ice, the golden city that hardly ever gets snow. Its people are not use to the weather and quickly start to freeze, a section of the golden castle collapsing under the weight of ice and snow.
Phobos, a kingdom use to Ice and Snow are effected the least as its people are always use to snow fall but even for them this much snow is to much as it causes its people to shiver.
Lionis is hit hard, the slums are nearly covered in snow and people can barely get out of their houses, having to crawl out of their chimneys or their second floors if they have them, some even tunneling out under their houses, the sick die and the healthy are getting sick, the glass of the great castle freezes and becomes brittle, threatening to break with every gust of wind.
it is -38F The wind howls and ice crystals chip the windows Snow piles up on the sides of the buildings and people say they see faces in the blizzard.

Roland Bellris
A little girl with beautiful long blonde hair that gently curls at the bottom and with a subtle beauty that was obvious to any that saw the girl that she would grow to become one of the most regal and winsome to ever walk, a simple tiara upon her head worn by generations of crown princesses before her and elegant satins and lace adorned her dress.
The little girl was no older than twelve, if that, and shy. Hardly seen in anything but quick glances before she would quickly hide behind a wall or a shrub. A scent of lemon bars was around anywhere the little girl was and just once in a while a gentle voice could be heard from the see though child, whispering "Little brother...."
Late night had come and Roland finds himself at his home with a need to go to the restroom in the middle of the night. The cold floors were a pain in the butt but it couldn't be helped. It was winter after all. Though he has had years in Bellris a winter like this was still enough to chill even the calm prince. After doing his business and heading back to his room he hears a voice calling out from some unknown place and there in his home's hallway he stops. Who else would be awake at this ungodly hour? From where he thought he heard the voice Roland goes to check, and sure enough when he looked outside the window of his floor he is surprised to see the image of a little girl scurry behind a large shrub in the garden which prompts the prince to act quickly. "Little girl, come inside this instant!" The prince shouts into the frigid wind with a scolding tone so the girl would hear him loud and clear and hopefully do as told. He didn't want to be buying a blonde peasant girl if it could be avoided; Especially since the image of this girl held a striking resemblance to his eldest sister when she was younger.
The little girl looked up at Roland and her round eyes turned bright as she began to float up to him, her arms outstretched "little brother!" she yelled happily as she reached him and flew right though him, giggling happily as she clapped her hands "I've missed you so much, do you have any lemon pies? What about some of those glass dolls? they're so adorable, did you ever finish making me one or did you go buy it from one of those stupid stores" she said, her smile turning into a frown "I missed you little brother, mommy said she's very disappointed in me for not telling her what happened and shes very upset. when I got back shes probably going to yell at me for coming here" she said, she was very chatty. She then tried to hug him again "I missed you so much I wish you could go back with me." she said as she moved away and was bouncing on her toes "You grew up to be such a looker I bet you've already got lots of wives, do I have any nieces yet? I've always wanted nieces to smother with gifts" she giggled slightly and then looked around, her eyes going wide "I'm in brothers room!" she giggled again, her cheeks going pink as she put her hands to her face and giggled again and ran out of the room, running though the door. She would then vanish, the smell of winter permeating the hallway and leaving ice were the girl had once been.
A woman a bit older than Elentiya but not by much, with beautiful silken gold hair and blazing more intense green eyes would watch from a distance not bothering to approach the girl but not bothering to make contact either, she was beautiful and the way she held herself was confident yet cold. Dressed in a slightly outdated fashion of Lionis style clothing, a dark streak of red having soaked into the front of the dress in a thick line from her heart down to the hem of the woman's skirt.

Youkimi Kai
Studious and wise he would always be just out of distance, appearing behind people or in crowds and looking for a brief few moments and mouthing incoherent words just before disappearing. He would look a little wilder then when he had been alive, with his hair unbound and his cloths covered in ashes the ends of his long sleeves singed from a fire. Any time he would disappear his body would fade from the world and the last bit to follow would be a fresh tear as the last word on his lips would whip around in the violent wind "Proud"
The wind howled and the darkness of the clouds overhead discouraged travel, even from those with the strongest wings. She gave little beyond a passing glance to the world outside, and soon enough her attention turned inward, to the council she held in council chambers, the room open to the advisors, the knights, and ever leaving the queen's chair open should she wish to join.
The conversation went well, as matters of great import were taken care of first and were taken care of and worked with. Resources that they had were still considered limited, and Youkimi continued to insist that the kingdom live frugally and within a limited budget, at least for the moment. Earnings they gained were moved back to the community, into encouraging local projects like education, guard training, farming and maintenance of orchards and the support of the local farms, and the artists moved to the new artist's capital.
When the meeting finished, they adjourned for a meal. She wouldn't be able to enjoy a walk in the courtyard today, because of the temperature, but perhaps that is for the best. She found herself in a hallway of the castle, pacing slowly as she debated trying again to interact with the queen. She wanted Ophelia to recover, but she worried greatly about her future. There were difficult topics to broach.... the declaration of an heir or successor to the throne, the fate of the kingdom, the goals of the kingdom, and... perhaps... somewhere in all of that, to know what would give the queen lasting peace. It was worrisome... Among many things to worry about.
However, passing in the hallway, a small group of talking servants walked by her. Calm except for a few mumbling complaints about the cold, they passed her by. Behind them, outside of their notice, she saw a form that she hadn't seen standing for over a year. There was ash and his appearance was somewhat disheveled, not unlike how he once came home from a battle in defense of the castle. But she knew his face anywhere. She couldn't hear him over the conversation of the servants. She couldn't tell what he said.
She needed to hear him.
Focused on this thought, she moved to cross the hallway quickly. She saw a tear. She moved around a servant, who when aware of her presence, startled and bowed apologetically. She assured him without thought as she focused on where her father had been standing. The word she thought she saw on his lips. What she thought she heard when she was close enough to hear.
"My lady?"
Why had he gone? Would he come back?
She trembled, but the reaction was lost in the robes and the coat on her shoulders. She was shielded by fabric and her back to the group kept them from seeing her confused astonishment. Was it real? Or was she beginning to see things?
"Pardon, everything is alright. I'm sorry to have startled you..."
Whatever the case.... the occurrence did teach her again how much she missed her father. Were that he were here now... How much there was to talk about. Or even to spend time in his company for an hour more...
She turned to reassure the servants and staff of the castle that everything was well. Then she turned again, but this time with more on her mind.
The ghostly man would appear again, this time behind her, his arms wrapping around the woman as best they could but they would only slip though her "You will never know how proud I am." he whispered in a echoing ghostly voice "You have grown so much, I'm so proud" he whispered, this time he wouldn't vanish.
It wasn't long after the servants left that she felt warmth around her heart. Though the contact was brief, and seemed to pass through her without doing more than leaving a slight chill on her nerves, she heard her father's voice again, but this time clear enough to make out a sentence She turned and saw him.
Tears came to her eyes as she reached for him, only to feel her arms collapse around nothing at all. He was there, she could hear him, and recognize his presence, but he was out of her reach. The hope that he had survived the eruption faded from her but was replaced simply with the acknowledgement of his presence and that he spoke with her.
With all that had happened, he was still proud of her? But she hadn't found a husband. In all this time, she was still unwed, and there was no sure heir to their lands, to guide their people should she fall. She did not watch Kaishin as closely as she should because of the time and effort she devoted to the whole of Ethe. He was still proud of her?
But then, this was her father. Could she doubt that he had been ignorant of her, even on the other side?
"Father," she straightened. Unable to wrap her arms around him, she folded her hands in front of herself. She tried to clear her eyes of tears. Could she believe this? "I missed you."
The man smiled at her as she tried to touch him, but he shook his head and let silence remain between them for a moment I have watched you as best I could" he said to her "For every moment you have missed me, I have missed being next to you, but I have not missing YOU" he said to her as small tears came from one of his eyes as he reached out to touch her and he stopped just before her cheek "You have grown... I always knew you had it in you to be a leader but I fear you're doing to much. Are you alright.... in their?" he asked as he looked at her head.
Was she alright?
Tears filled her eyes, and she blinked to keep them at bay. She lifted her hand to wipe away a stray tear from her own face, knowing that she couldn't wipe her father's tears. There was such relief and reassurance that came from him knowing he approved and supported her even if he wasn't always visible.
It almost seemed further proof that he worried about her. This job, the work she did, was indeed immense. It was a nation on the shoulders of one person, a weight that was painful without support of another. She was certain that this was another reason monarchs sought early to be married. Who among them could rule alone? The queen had been hurt deeply by all that had happened to her nation, and in the attempt to alleviate the pain to her people, she undertook more pain.
So was it too much?
"What else can be done?" Youkimi shook her head and her shoulders lifted slowly, reluctantly. "It is work that needs to be done, Father. Our queen has suffered so much for our nation, and there are none to support her. As long as is needed, here is where I will stay. What are my needs when compared to the whole of Ethe?"
The Spirit of her father smiled softly at her You have more then done your part for your queen and for your people. If it was anyone else they would have been done with this mess" he said as he put his hands on her shoulders...or at least as best he could, he let them hover over her shoulders "but you are a Kai. I know you wont just stop, it is not in our blood." he whispered softly "When this is over, when you are done... I would hope that you would settle down and have children, have a husband that would marry in and take our family name, but after seeing you like this... doing this... I know now that that wont happen just yet, but remember that whatever you do I am watching, so long as you're happy, so long as honor remains for house Kai." he paused as a dark shadow passed behind him "You will make the Kai go far, I can see it now. All our ancestors with their embarrassed faces knowing it wasn't one of their sons" he made a motion to squeeze her shoulder just as the shadow would pass though him and he would vanish. The scent of winter would permeate the air and the ground would turn to ice as if the god of the winter had come to collect, and the spirit was gone.
The blonde woman with her golden sun rays eyes would sit in front of the Queen in her abode, dressed in a fashion far older than the queen herself, her yellow hanfu designed with thick black spiders webs. She was no delusion of the queens.
She had died a long time ago, before the queen was six years of age, but she had been a threat to her life many times first with poison when she was a new born and second with assassins that had failed not once but twice. Aunt Stella had never been a kind woman, her fathers twin brother and coruler of Ethe, the Phoenix crown rested upon her head as if it had been imbedded into her skull "Is this what the Quatrez line has come to? You suffer offence after offence and you make no attempt to move forward or take vengeance.... So much weakness thrust into one woman, Its time you stop wallowing in your indulgent self pity and start acting like the Quatrez Queen was meant to!"

King Aldon Llewellyn
The red hair, the smell of Roses that echoed the namesake of the woman that had once smiled so lovingly, The laughing light green eyes that had been betrothed to the king what seemed so long ago. The down to earth embodiment of kindness and purity... would haunt him. Was no longer kind. The red haired love would float outside the windows like a ghost she was anywhere the King would go, pressing her hands against the glass with each crash of the wind as if she was trying to break in with the violent gale. It was almost as the woman was nothing like the woman she had once been, as if death had changed her. Blood had dried on the corners of her lips, the head of an arrow poked though her shoulder, just below her heart, and just below her ribs as if she had been shot from behind, The underside of her nails where caked and packed with wet dirt. Any time the wind managed to seep though the cracks of the window her words would follow "how could you forget about me! you left me for dead! how could you!"
As the wind hit the windows hard a familiar and pained voice hit his ears and had him holding his beautiful Flora against him tighter in a protective way. He turned his gaze to the window and his eyes widened, "Rose?" A few tears fell from his eyes to streak his cheeks. His first love was here. Well her spirit was and it was nothing like her. Her warm smile was gone and blood marred her. Her words were so cold and harsh. He shook his head and placed a protective hand on the back of Flora's head, "No Rose, I never forgot you. I spent months searching for you and got myself injured doing so. I was forced to stop looking for you and just as I was about to start again, father got ill and I could not leave him. He died and I had to take his place and to do that properly I had to take a wife. Had I expected to love her too as I loved you? No, but I did." Tears still streaked his face but he paid no mind to the rare showing of emotion he was doing. He wanted to reach out to her but her soul was blackened by her pain and violent. He had to protect his daughter.
The ghost of his first love cried out as the wind slammed against the window "YOU LIE TO ME!!" she yelled at him "If you had tried I wouldn't be dead!" she yelled at him as the wind battered the windows and pushed one open. Rose managed to get into the room, aiming for Aldon when the shadow came, the smell of winter entered the room and ice was left on the ground as she vanished just as she was about to reach for rose.
Arthur would float around the twin boys as if he was protecting them, his blue eyes unblinkingly looking out the window any time he floated back around into view, any time the two boys would start to cry he would look down and reach out to play with them, letting the boys hands reach for his ghostly fingers.
Hearing her boys cry for only a moment before being hushed, Athena stepped out from the bathroom having finished cleaning some spit up from the floor earlier. Naturally it had grown colder duets the strange wind that had come up, but the maids had put on a fire to keep the room warmed as best they could. Of course she had made sure the boys were wrapped up warmly to keep them from getting sick, as per Sharlas instruction. When she came closer to her twins, she smiled warmly at them, leaving room for the spirit standing in front of them. "My little Leon and my little Arthur, you should both being sleeping." She cooed knowing full well they weren't going to sleep any time soon and purposely giving their names in case her late father wished to know them.
Her father looked up at Athena for a moment before looking back down at the two boys, stopping his protecting for a moment to see his grandchildren "I cant say that I wasn't disappointed when I first heard you fell in love with the enemy, I thought I had raised you better" he said but then he smiled and looked at Athena "But I see now that I raised you right. I couldn't ask for any other daughter. I'm glad you followed your heart and found love..." he said as his ghostly hand went to her and rested just above her cheek "Do not blame your brother for what he has done, It is the same thing I would have done, and he is king now as well, not just your brother. He will make mistakes"
Athena gave her fathers spirit a small smile and nodded. "I knew you wouldn't have liked hearing of me falling for a so called traitor, but even you would not have swayed me otherwise dear father. I also know that you would have given the same punishment Aldon had, which is why I fully complied to it and stayed with in the castle grounds unless otherwise permitted." She replied in her usual soft tone while trying to fight back some tears. "I could never hate Aldon for what he did, it was fair and just. He's actually doing very well as king too. His first real act was to of course take a wife, and he chose Elentiya, who is making a good queen. Aldon is even a father now too and it suits him very well, so I think he'll do you proud." She said trying to keep herself sounding cheerful as she finally tried to place her hand over his and allowed a couple tears to fall. "I'm glad you are happy for me father, but I can't help missing you more and more as time passes. Especially now that I have the boys. I find myself wishing they would have the chance to see their grandfather at times, but I know you'll always be watching over us all and I'll have plenty of stories for when they're older."
The man smiled at Athena before once more looking down at the boys "I will not lie, I wish you were married before having them" he muttered, a frown on his face "I do not trust him" he said before looking back at Athena and hugging her as best he could with his ghostly form "I love you my daughter, please, tell your brothers that I love them as well" he whispered "I...Keep in your heart that I was not poisoned, I just could not escape sickness"
"To tell the truth, I wish that had been the case as well father, but fate chose otherwise. At least Roland and I will be married once Aldon agrees to a date." Athena replied softly before breathing a sigh and wiping the tears. "He may have his secrets father, but Roland has done nothing to loose the trust I have given him. Nor has he done anything to loose my heart. So tell me why you distrust him so much. Has he done something to cause such a feeling?" She said while returning her fathers hug as best she could, not to mention questioning the reason behind her fathers comment. "I shall tell them you love them, but are you certain there was nothing you could have done to overcome the illness that took you from us? After all you said yourself that you had not been poisoned."
Arthur shook his head "I just don't want to see my little girl hurt" he said to her "even if it wasn't some former Bellrisian prince, even if It was a King I would still dislike them and mistrust them with you." he said sadly "but if you love him its nothing I can do about it" he said before looking at the children "...I was just sick, I had not been feeling well for a while when the sickness came to be, It took my mother and I knew what it would do, I did not want you to see what would happen to me" he said as he saw a shadow behind Athena and his eyes darkened "Athena" he looked down at her, wrapping her in his ghostly arms "never forget that you are a Llewellyn about all else. You are not a Bellris. You are not a commoner. You are the Llewellyn Princess of Zalto, my daughter. A descendant of Igerna the Gallant. Do not let anyone step on you." he said to her just as the shadow passed though him "Father wont be able to protect you or your children, you must do it." he said just as he vanished, the cold and smell of winter permeating the air and ice being left in his place as if the god of winter had come to collect.

Valeska Llewellyn
The Empress that had grown power hungry, the Empress that took power, the Empress that waged war, The Empress that had committed adultery.... the empress that had lost everything. She sat on the Queen Mother's bed chambers, a place she had stayed for a few days while when she had been fighting with the late Emperor Apollion. They had been friends once, or at least as much friends as they could be while dodging around politics and their strong willed husbands... The late King Arthur so honorable and the late Emperor being so lustful. Empress Catherine sat their dressed the way she had been when she had died, the blade that had sliced from her shoulder to her hip, half of her hair had fallen out of its braid. Her once beautiful face that had drawn the Emperor to her all those years ago where now hidden behind her long hair and specks of blood "Was I not good to you... how could you forsake me Valeska... When I needed you the most..." her ghostly voice whispered as she looked at the crown between her hands.

OOC: you seem to be on hiatus so if you return while this is going on.
The man would say nothing, he would make no noise as he followed the blind boy around with narrowed eyes as if he was assessing the young mans every move.
And like the good maid she was, Sarah walks the castle hallways heading to her room after making sure the royals had their warm fires going in their rooms and especially so for Athena and her babies; The cute and squishy bundles of joy. The maid swoons over the idea of becoming a mama one day but at the same time she dose hold a little fear about that too. With the weeding ring given to her from her secret husband, Prince Kaiden, still on her finger Sarah plays with it as she ponders about how would her husband feel about having children. She didn't want to bare his kids just yet but the idea made her heart giddy and caused her body to grow a little warmer just by the thought of being knocked up with Kaden's children. If she could find him right now she'd have no trouble fighting off the n** of the chill tonight and as if her silent prayers were answered Sarah happens to see Kaiden walking the halls too...but she also happened to see the image of her father floating around her husband and with unstady aim she points a finger at her father's & Kaiden's direction; An equally sloppily aimed questions fallowing soon after. "W-w-what are y-you doing here?"
The man looked over at Sarah and frowned, his arms crossed "I was hoping that when I met him he would be so dorky looking." he said crossly "I thought you would have inherited my impeccable taste in bed partners but it doesn't seem like you did" he said crossly as he waved his ghostly fingers in front of Kaiden "The ******** blind." he said and then saw the ring on his daughters finger and his frown deepened "but it doesn't seem like I can do anything to stop that now" he said as he bent down to he was eye level with the prince "you better be nice to my little girl and make her the princess she deserves to be or I'm coming back to gut you, you blind b*****d. Shes my only good daughter and you better treat her right" he said before turning around and looking at Sarah a grin on his face as he put a thumb up "Daddy will always look out for his little girl" he grinned stupidly before looking at the shadow coming though the ceiling "Looks like my rides here." he said as the shadow passed though him "Name you're cutest son after me!" he said as his voice began to fade and he vanished, winter permeating the air as a patch of ice was left in his place.

Azazel Drosselmeyer
Apollion sat on the throne where he had been assassinated by that little boy that had snuck into the castle two years ago during the winter ball. He didn't look to worse for ware however as the poison had ruined his insides but left him in tact, but the way he had died... could hardly be surpassed. The hallucinations, the pain throughout his entire body that in his last moments had his screams filling the castle as it ripped apart his insides and turned them into a gelatin like mess, had paralyzed him in the last few hours of his life, made him seem dead as the coroner had cut him open only to see the last few beats of his heart before it to had turned into an unidentifiable mess, luckily the only part of the scar that could be seen was near the hollow of his throat, the rest covered up by his velvet jacked and leather clothing.
He sat upon the throne with his long pale hair falling in front of his eyes as he sharpened a sword backward, the hilt of the sword pushed into the stone while he grabbed the blade. Any time anyone would enter the throne room he would grin insanely and say "Well, if it isn't Duke Drosselmeyer, Disloyal in life... Disloyal in death. No wonder your unfilial blood has been disregarded for generations. Heavy, Filthy, Odorous blood... Blood Unworthy of mixing with royalty. Did you not think your action would have no toll? look at how your blood just makes everyone with it loose their minds" the once libido driven Emperor chuckled madly.
Azazel pushed the heavy doors open that lead to the throne room, the damned voice had been bugging him ever since it began. The Emperor leaned heavily on his cane, the flat top pressing against the tendons in his hand as he lifted the cane up and pushed forward with heavy uneven steps, his other hand held his robes together. His heavy breathing could be heard all around the large room. He listened to Apollion go off again. Azazel would wait a few seconds in order to see if he would say anything else, a vein in his neck pulsing in anger as he held his tongue "The Drosselmeyer name is only a name, what you call Filthy, Odorous and Unworthy comes from the shared ancestors we have" The Emperor said as he looked at his cousin, Apollion had been younger then he when he took the throne "What I did? I used the royal blood that runs though my veins to preserve the Lionis legacy, if it wasn't for me that Elba whore you took to wife would have destroyed a dynasty that lasted 200 years. At least with me here the blood still sits on the throne" Azazel said, thumping his chest and instantly regretting it as pain reverberated though his body and he had to grit his teeth and lean on his cane in order to keep himself from falling to his knees.
Apollion chuckled "What blood? All I see is water." the former emperor said "My dynasty would have lived on if it wasn't for your tardy action. But I have nothing to worry about. What is right will become right, and this world will correct itself" he said as he looked at Azazels check "Weakness does not make a king for long. I would have rathered my wife on the throne if it meant my children would have survived"
The beautiful pale haired woman would have been beautiful as it seemed all women from the Bellrisian line would have been... but one wouldn't have to wonder how she would have looked as she had aged as her body had grown up to be queen but her soul had not. Stuck perpetually as a late teen, Kastara Malbara wandered around the Mayoral Estates with her head in her hands as she sobbed.
" prepare money from my fund. If the storm doesnt get worse at first light we will give out 3 gold pieces per hour for every person that helps keep the roofs free of snow."his study was a mess of paperwork and his servants. One of them rushed of to do as he ordered as other brought him paperwork to sign. " anyone with an ability to control, produce or in some way affect effect or fire should be used to help burn the snow. Have the city guard. Prepare to get shovels from farmers if meed to we need to keep the roads as clear as possible once the sun comes up. Dont let them just pile the snow somewhere collect it in one place. How are our resevoirs? If they can hold more water melt the snow and begin purifying the water. Use barrels for the rest. Try to save as much as we can."
It took most of an hour to set everything up. He did not expect a blizzard to hit them this year. He was glad most of his staff was trained enough to act as his arms in most situations. He sent them away to send messages to the council members in any way they could. Tho most came back unable to. The morning would decide what he would do next. He sighed as he leaned into his chair. He felt a blistering headache begining to form.
He closed his eyes. Darkness, he gave himself to that almost empty feeling that lead to slumber in these busy days. The sound of the storm not a hindrence but a lulluby.
Thats when he heard it. The sound of a lgirl sobbing. Pangs of guilt hit his chest. He woke with a start. His hands trembling. " how kuch longer must i have such dreams"
Learning that one sister survive did not help him alliviate his guilt. He could not save his sister. He raised his head. Guilt in his eyes once more. But only for a second. As before his eyes he saw he wasnt alone in his study anymore
His dead sister was sobbing.
Kastara looked up at him, her lips trembling as she tried to quell her tears, but alas she could not "Reyel... you're so old." she whispered but then looked away as she started to sob again "I'm so sorry..i couldn't save her, our little sister" she said as she started sobbing harder.
" yes i am. time is not kind to the living." he tried to rub the top of her head, to see if the image in front of him was real or if it was in his mind. " you saved her. i failed her. but what brings you hear from the lands of the shadows?" even as his felt his voice crack with emotion. he felt his brain work to calm him down. he felt tears welled in his eyes. Why woudl ANtari let the dead return
Kastara smiled at him despite the tears that still dripped down her face "when one escapes it makes a hole. Each person that escapes makes the hole bigger. But we will soon go back" Kastara muttered before she finally looked down "I just wanted to tell you....that I am sorry. I couldn't stop our mother from banishing you and the others." she said "I'm sorry I couldn't stop the assassins. I should have been able to. I should have known. Hysteria should have known.... She should have stopped them" she whispered
" perhaps you are right Kastara." his hand went trough her. so instead he sat on the floor. he was far to tired to do anything that taxed his legs for long. " I am sure she was scared in her own way.j its a scary thing what happened. and what happened in the past happened. we can only move forward." he smiled at his sister. " it was nice to speak to you. to see you again. you have revived a lot in me. is there anything you want to tell me my dear sister."
Kastara shook her head "I don't... but I could see that you felt guilty so I came to you" she said to him "Do not feel guilty any more. No one could have known she would have been able to do that.... though it saddens me to have gone... the injustice that was done to you and your siblings" she whispered and she looked like she was about to say something when a dark shadow passed though her, the smell of winter permeated the air and ice was left were she sat, as if the god of winter had come to collect.

Evelyn Lionis
The former Ethen King wandered the Bronzewell estate. He had never been here before so before he went back he wanted to see what this Bellris looked like, this place that his people had always hated just as he had hated. He remembered something he was supposed to say to the Princess Evelyn but he was in no rush to begin his tirade of hatred toward the woman and would wait for her to come to him.
Evelyn watched the shape of a man she had come to respect and know well float though the overgrown gardens of the Bronzewell estate. She didn't want to go outside despite her admiration for the man, but as she dawned her cloak she knew she had to go out and meet with him. Evelyn sighed as she closed her eyes and walked out the servants door and into the garden, bowing her head to the man Welcome to the Bronzewell estate my lord" she said.
The man frowned as he looked at the frozen overgrown plants "It is quite beautiful" he said to her "but not as beautiful as my wife, or the star ruby bracelet you said you would return to her" he said "It is only because Ethe is growing stronger that I am not mad at you right now" he said.
All Lionis women were said to be beautiful, Brown hair and green eyes were a common trait anywhere you looked, from the royalty to the nobility to the common people, but only in the Lionis blood would you see the inhuman regal bearing and beauty that seemed to be bread into the blood of the late dynasty. And though Esther's mother would have had to have been beautiful in order to attract the eye of Azazel, it was obvious that beauty too, was heavily taken from the Lionis blood that seemed to bleed power. The Blood of Emperors ran though Esther's veins, and with her ambition why wouldn't this woman be here?
An old book in her hands, despite the fact that the woman had not been known for her literary talents. The first Empress of Epsilon, not by marriage but by birth. In her own right. Every child knew about her and old spinsters spun stories about her... Petra the Relentless... The Empress that refused to take a husband unless they could beat her in combat, The sole ruler of Epsilon at the mere age of twelve, An Empress that despite having 13 children would retain her battle prowess and beauty throughout the years.... the Empress who defied even death by taking the ax that was about to fall upon her head and nearly cleaved off the arm of the man that ordered her death....the Empress who was the only Imperial ruler whos body was lost forever.
The Empress wouldn't even look away from her book as she flipped the page and gazed at the words that followed as she would then speak "The whole tree does not die if one branch falls....but why of all things is everyone born in this tree so stubborn and ambitious, one would think that though generations of cultivation they would eventually understand that ruling as a King or Queen or Emperors means they belong to the people, not to their families"
She was by no means in the mood for making friends or sudden acquaintances. Esther had horrible dreams that kept her from sleeping so she instead tried walking the castle until sleep wanted to claim her again. It felt like an eternity of her walking around like a zombie for her to finally decide to head to the castle's library for a good reading aid but when she got there she was surprised to see a woman's figure amongst the silence. "My my, what do we have here?" A magical glow emanated from the magical symbol on her chest just above her adequately sized breasts and the arcana card, The Emperor, was summon forth to quickly transform into magical lightning that crackle in the palm of her hand. "I don't know how you got in without the guards noticing but you've caught my attention. So tell me, who are you and what the hell do you think you're doing here?"
The woman put the ghostly book down and looked at Esther "You would dare raise a hand to me you whelping pup! she snarled at her as a ghostly sword appeared in her hand and she aimed it at Esther "If I could I would gut you" she said and then grinned "I like your guts kid" she said as her sword vanished "I use to have an ability like that, except I could put things into cards and summon them back out so if I lost a blade I could pick up another" she said to her "and as to who I am, maybe you should pick up a history book, you live in the palace now, not that farm you called a dukes estate your father once ruled" she snorted, just as the shadow came and flew though her, leaving ice were she once stood and the smell of winter in the air.

Hysteria Bellris
The woman stood still over the new born Salome Bellris, her eyes full of disgust and hatred, her hands folded in front of her as she saw the child sleep peacefully, she would wait over the child until its mother would come to the room "You have such nerve... living this long"
In some way it was obvious that the two women were related, it would be hard to come up with an argument against it, they both had the light ebony hair and beauty, they both had Hazel eyes that slid between golden to silver-blue however this womans eyes seemed to slide more toward the silver-blue, the face shape was fairly similar, the noses had the same shape, and though the woman that looked at the beautiful baby girl, Princess Eliana, seemed like a glacier in stance a hidden warmth was behind the woman's eyes.
The biggest difference between the two was perhaps that this woman looked like she had been born into power while Ambrosia had been married into the highest ruling power. The woman wore a grand phoenix crown upon her lovely light ebony hair as she smiled at the child "I wish I could have met you dear child" she whispered.
Ambrosia looked up from attending to her husband after his collapse. Tears of worry hung in her eyes, her daughter and son still in the arms of the hand maiden who had yet to leave. Hearing a voice she looked back at them and saw a ghostly form beside her children. "Who are you?" The face of the woman seemed vaguely familiar, maybe she had seen her in an old photo album. But yet she wore a beautiful crown and as far as Ambrosia knew she only had simple nobility from her mother's side. She got up from her husband's side as the attendants took him back to their room. Quickly she went to her children, grabbing Eliana's hand and holding Elric protectively. The woman didn't seem hostile but as a new mother she naturally was protective, especially so after her husband's seizure. She looked at the woman carefully before deciding she should be brave and strong for her children and her husband, and bounced Elric gently on her hip and raised her chin slightly. Once again she was composed and put off an air of strength to those around her.
She looked over at Ambrosia and grinned "I'm surprised your father never mentioned me" she said as the tall woman leaned down and looked at Elric "I wanted to come see my great grandbabies before those stupid gods took me back" she said as she cooed at Elric "I had nine children but none of them looked so adorable when they were this young. They were all so squishy and whiny" she smiled as she reached out to pinch the little boy but her fingers went right though him and she frowned as she stood back up "You can call me Queen Grandmama" the woman said to Ambrosia "I'm quite saddened that little reyrey didn't talk about me, he was always a stickler for family" she huffed and then her eyes caught the shadow and she crossed her arms "Hey!" she said crossly as the shadow stopped right in front of her "I'm not done here" she said to the shadow and the shadow said something that couldn't be heard "Well that's your fault isn't it?you've gotten so use to nothing happening you got lazy" she said and the shadow said something else and the woman rolled her eyes before looking back at Ambrosia "I have to go, apparently the gods like to blame others for their mistakes" she said as she wiggled her fingers "Tell little reyrey I said Hi, alright hon?" she said just as the shadow passed though her and she vanished, ice remaining were she had once been and the smell of winter sticking to the room.
