In the distance, a cat happened to catch the signature of a first-rank senshi, directing his driver and ward in that direction. Once the senshi's identity was confirmed, the cat let loose a happy shriek in Takamizawa's direction.

"Taaaaaaakaaaaaaaaaaammmmmmiiiiiiiiiiii-chaaaaaaaaaan~!!!!"

Themisto nearly dropped him from shock.

Begrudgingly, Themisto trudged in that general direction, knowing well enough by now that disobeying a direct order from the cat made matters about one million times worse than we could be to indulge him. Soon enough, a super senshi and one very energetic lilac-point (who was half-flopped out of Themisto's folded fuku) wandered into Takamizawa's view.

Looking up at a friggin surgeon, the senshi of the lost had thought talking cats were the highest point of absurdity. He was starting at a doctor-senshi, of that he was sure. "'Ey, what's up, doc? Night off from the ER or somethin'?" A good-natured chuckle soon followed.

Itsuki seemed displeased, flapping his tiny paws back and forth. "Ieeee, Themi-chan, this is Takamizawa! Senshi of Surgery! He's a good friend! How are you, Takami-chan~? I'm glad to see you patrolling! Have you eaten yet?? We should go eat!"

"Wait, you guys know each other?" Themisto seemed utterly confused. Itsuki had mentioned a few friends prior to meeting Themisto himself, but the super senshi couldn't recall names specifically. He did remember one name was really long. Maybe it was Tak...something... stuff.

Itsuki nodded with enthusiasm, bobbing up and down in the folds of Themisto's fuku. "Haaai~! Takamizawa was the first senshi I awakened! He's sugoi~!" Clapping his tiny paws, Itsuki heaped much praise upon the Senshi of Surgery. Themisto thought the getup fit well with this theme, anyway. Other than that, he wasn't sure what to make of Takamizawa.

"So uh..." started Themisto, completely out of his element. "...how's the whole surgery thing goin', uh... Taku... s**t."

He couldn't remember the rest of the name. Too many syllables.

Itsuki seemed to pick up on it. "Ta-ka-mi-za-wa." Slow and steady.

The super senshi sighed and shook his head. "You know what I mean."

The cat seemed disappointed but not at all surprised, flopping a bit, ears drooping. "Aww, Takami-chan, you already ate? Well, that's okay. You have to keep your strength up when patrolling!"

Itsuki squished his feline face beneath furry paws in embarrassment. Really, he was just doing his job by finding and awakening sailor senshi. "Nyaaa~ Takami-chan, you're too kind! I'm glad you're doing well, and taking care of yourself. Don't push yourself too hard, though, and onegai," Pleading, his little paws were pressed together as if in prayer. "Don't get hurt, okay?"

Themisto sighed and scratched the back of his neck. "Kami. Okay, I can do that. Two syllables. You get too many goin' there and it's a whole train wreck after the first three, ya know? I'm Themisto. See, three syllables. Easy." Jerking a thumb to himself, the super senshi may have been flexing, just a bit. He had some impressions to make on newer senshi, despite the fact that he was still relatively green himself, all things considered. "Super senshi of the Lost. Whatever that means, really. I shoot ghosts. Wish I was kidding."

Themisto made a gun hand gesture and fired it. "Spooooky~"

The cat couldn't help but laugh, dropped from Themisto's grip to trot up to where Takamizawa was sitting. "Takami-chan may be new at this, but he's great! I just know you're destined for greatness, Takami-chan~ You're already fighting the forces of Chaos! Uwaa~!" Itsuki was clearly very impressed with the Senshi of Surgery. His little whiskers prickled with happiness. "Themi-chan and I are out on patrol, too! I'm trying to have him be as diligent as you, Takami-chan---"

"HEY."

"---but he's a bit lazier than you. Maybe you could teach him a thing or two?"

Themisto shrugged at Takamizawa's comment. Shooting ghosts was kind of cool, when one sat and really thought about it. Then again, shooting ghosts was creepy as hell and Themisto was happy he was the one doing the shooting, not the other way around.

"Nah man, nobody's mindin' their own business when I up and fire my laser, you know? I don't wanna just go flingin' poltergeists at people, willy-nilly. Nah, they gotta be up to some sneaky s**t first. I can only fire 'em off so much, so you gotta make it count. Only got so many bullets, heh."

Themiso was proud of himself for that metaphor.

Itsuki beamed up at the Senshi of Surgery. "You're very motivated, Takami-chan! That's the first big step in being the best senshi you can be! Themi-chan, he likes to run around to the big convenience stores and get food instead."

"--HEY. You're the one that whines when you're hungry!"

The cat's ears drooped, caught red-pawed. "Ugu... that's true. I do like to eat very much, Themi-chan. Maybe you should carry snacks on you!"

The super senshi scoffed. "Where am I gonna put 'em, cat? You found, like, the only pocket I have."

"Takami-chan, do you know if they make kitty backpacks? That would be great. Do you think it could fit a few fish in it?"

"Don't give him any ideas, dude. Next thing I know, he'll be whinin' about not having a seafood restaurant strapped to my back. That ain't right." Themisto frowned intensely though it didn't seem to bother the Guardian Cat in the slightest. Itsuki leaned into Takamizawa's hand happily, purring. "Fanny packs are a hell-to-the-naw."

Meanwhile, the cat squinted up at Takamizawa, mischief gleaming in his feline eyes. "It's okay, Takami-chan. I'll try to keep him more prepared in the future. He may be a Super but he has a lot to learn! Someday, Takami-chan, you will be a Super Senshi too! A Super Senshi of Surgery! You'll be faster and stronger and more sugoi!"

Themisto rolled his eyes. "It's like I'm not even here." came a sigh.

Itsuki had to giggle at that response. His little paws flailed with glee. "Maybe I should take Themisto home. He gets grumpy if we patrol for too long, and I'm hungry. I could eat a whooooooole Themisto. Hee hee~"
