Eloise yearned to be out of the Academy. Well, that wasn’t entirely true, she just yearned to be old enough in the Academy to study what she wanted to study. It wasn’t as though she didn’t…didn’t like science and math and all of that…it was more along the lines of she hated them, and would rather spend her time doing what she wanted. Like singing. Dancing. Getting ready to be a star. But…for now she was doing nothing more than sitting in classrooms learning about things that she would never, ever be interested in…and it was stifling her creativity big time.
So, now that she didn’t have a class to go to, the young elf was in an empty classroom, running through her scales as best she could with no music to guide her. But…before she could start practicing anything else, she paused, sighing. What she really needed was an audience…so that was what she would get.
Quickly, she walked to the classroom door and poked her head out, fully intending to pull whoever she could find into the room with her to cheer her on and listen to her singing, and it just so happened that the only person walking by was a baphomet with really, really pretty hair. “Hey. Hey you! Would you come help me practice my singing? I want someone to listen to me.”

SnowLily being bored as well as clumsy like usual was strolling about the halls not really looking for anything just trying to get the as she called it "oomph" to do some type of art. Lately her "oomph" has been gone, she just did not feel like doing anything even finger painting which she loved so much. The feel of the cool paints beneath her fingers, the smell of it in her nose and the feeling of creating something pretty was gone, just gone.
Some of the class room doors were closed others opened, peering in the open ones she looked about before moving on to the next one. Lost in her own little world a voice startled her when she heard it. Turning around to quick she teetered on her feet of course fell over her own feet and she fell into the wall then slid down it her ponytail getting caught underneath her since she fell at an angle.
"Owwww my hair![/] she screeched. Pulling her ponytail up she sighed and began to rub the back of her head trying to make the ache go away.
Looking up she saw a freshling in the doorway this must be the voice she heard. Embarassed she fell her cheeks became red and warm she went to speak and her voice came out a squeak. "You want me to do wha...what?[/] with that she kept rubbing her head.

Blinking, the young elf watched, rather fascinated as the freshling she had called out to fell into a wall and got her hair stuck in something before sinking to the floor. Luckily, freshlings weren’t very tall so the poor girl didn’t have far to fall…but still. That looked like it had hurt and Eloise didn’t know what to really even say, and so stood there mute until the pretty girl addressed her again.
“Oh um…I want to practice my singing, and I would like someone to be in here listening to me, if that’s all right. But if you’re too hurt to do it, I understand, I really do…are you okay? That really looked kind of painful…”
She kept her own hair tightly in a messy bun on the top of her head and liked it that way. Long hair was pretty, but for someone who had to dance and be at least slightly active, long hair was more of a hindrance at this stage. Perhaps when she was older and better practiced with her dancing she could let it grow and let it flow about her shoulders…but for now, it was her bun or nothing. “But…if you wanted to stay and listen, I would really, really appreciate it! I’m Eloise! I’m going to be a famous singer when I grow up. Or at least that’s my plan.”

The floor was getting uncomfortable and SnowLily's head still ached a bit from where her hair was pulled but she started to stand. The voice she heard belonged to a very pretty young Elf. What caught SnowLily's attention was her hair, it was in a cute bun at the back of her head. "Wish I could do that to my hair, its always messy she muttered outloud. Cheeks warmed as she realized she said that outloud where the Elf could hear her.
Shaking her head she finally stood up and looked the Elf in the face and said "I'm SnowLily! Okay I will stay, what are you going to sing?"" SnowLily envied her hair it was so pretty, and she wore a sweater that had a design on it not words like hers well she had the few snowflakes but she loved pretty, designed sweaters. They were so warm!
"Famous singer? I am not sure what I want to do, I like art but I am not that good at it" she shrugged.

“I don’t think your hair is messy at all, SnowLily!” Eloise blinked at her and held out a hand, grinning slightly. I’m just…going to sing whatever comes into my head! I’m working on a few songs but…none of them are really inspiring me right now…so I think I’ll make one up!” That seemed like the best and easiest plan, and quickly, the little elf tugged her new friend into the empty classroom and shut the door behind them.
“You like art? What kind of art? I’m not…really good at anything but singing so…I figure that’s just got to be what I do…you know?” Glancing around the room, she grinned and began climbing onto the teacher’s desk at the front of the room. “This will be my stage! Why don’t you have a seat…and I’ll start soon!”

Touching her hair in embarassment, she smoothed down one of the ponytails and began to twirl it with her fingers. Something she did when nervous or unsure.
Laughing as she was tugged into the empty classroom she looked about and saw a large desk and some desks. Wondering where Eloise would be singing she listened as she chattered away.
"I like all kinds of art but painting with finger paints is my favorite. The paints are pretty, feel good on my fingers and I can be messy without anyone fussing at me!" she made a pouty face and giggled. "I am not that good at art either but I like it so I keep trying. I may get better or something else may be fun for me to do. I like pictures, maybe using a camera. I forget what that is called" her words trailed off as she saw Eloise grin and climb up on the desk.
"Your stage awaits!" bowing she sat down in one of the desks and waited for Eloise to start to sing.

Grinning, Eloise finally made it to the top of the desk. “That sounds like fun! I’ve never used finger paints, that’s kind of cool, maybe I’ll try it sometime!” The elf cleared her throat and hopped on one foot for a moment, seeming to try to figure out just what she was going to sing, and then began, making up a silly song about pigtails just for her new friend.
When it was over, she grinned and shrugged. “So that’s not my best, but your hair kind of inspired the song, so it’s kind of like I wrote it for you!” She paused, flopping down on the desk and scooting to the edge, letting her legs swing over the side. “We can be friends, right? I would like that. Next time, I’ll sing something really good for you, okay?”

SnowLily got comfortable, her hand was resting on her chin as she watched Eloise as she began to hop on one foot. "Wonder why she is doing that?" she thought to herself. Giggling softly she was about to say something when Eloise began to sing.
It was lovely, her voice was clear but strong. Mesmerized SnowLily listened in awe as Eloise sang about pigtails. It dawned on SnowLily she was singing a song about her hair, without realizing it she fiddled with her hair. A habit she had when nervous.
"Yes we can be friends, I like your singing." she said with a soft laugh. "Now what trouble can we get into? I tend to be clumsy so don't be surprised if I fall down, trip over my own feet or bump into you when playing. Just thought I would warn you, it can be a bit...uh...embarassing. shrugging as if no big deal SnowLily glanced about the room hoping to find something to catch her interest.

“Oh! Maybe we could do dance lessons!” The idea burst from Eloise before she even had a chance to really think it through, but the more she thought about it, the more that she wanted it to happen. It would be great for the both of them! Eloise would be able to really learn some sweet moves for when she was famous, and SnowLily might learn some better techniques for balancing herself so she didn’t fall down as often!
Quickly, the elf hopped off of the desk, nearly stumbling but managing to catch herself before she hit her head on one of the other desks, her eyes bright with excitement. “Come on! Let’s go and find someone to talk to about maybe getting some dance lessons, it’ll be good for the both of us, I’m sure it will!”
She was practically bouncing with excitement, holding both hands out towards her new friend and dance partner, ready to go and have another adventure.

Squealing Dance Lessons! she was laughing. With her coordination she was bound to end up on her butt or face more than half the time but it would be an adventure that was for sure. Eloise did not seem to mind she was clumsy so why not? Maybe it could help with her clumsiness, keep her own her feet more often then usual. ~gigglesnorts~
"Which teacher should we ask? as she took Eloise's hands in her own ready to bounce off to another adventure. "I don't know who the dance teacher is, least I don't think I do"] scrunching up her nose in thought she absent mindely began to bite her lip.

“I don’t either, but we can find out together! It’ll be fun!” Eloise grinned broadly and took off out of the classroom, fully prepared to ask whatever teacher she ran into for advice on how to start dance lessons, or if they had any information on who the dancing instructor was.
It was so much fun to meet new friends, and from the way herself and SnowLily had already hit it off, Eloise figured that she had found one of those friends who would last…most likely forever…unless she was very much mistaken.
But…she hoped that she wasn’t. With one last giggle, she ran off into the halls of the Academy, new best friend in tow.
