Damn the summer heat, he was melting where he stood!
At least, it felt that way to poor Olavi. With a body made of ice, the male felt the heat of summer a hundred times over. He had recently made his way into a forested area while traveling, small puddles of water and slush leaving a trail behind him as he quickly moved to find the cool shade of the trees. Olavi sat down for a moment, trying to catch his breath. He still felt hot! This wouldn’t do, no sir…
Water. Perhaps water would help. With a forest this lush and alive, there had to be water nearby! A river, pond, lake, something. A new goal in mind, Olavi began to wander the forest, making sure to keep under the shelter of the trees. He went at a casual pace, not wanting to risk any further damage to his fragile body, especially those paws of his. Glancing down, he grimaced a little at the sight of his chipped claws. Yes, he would definitely need to locate water soon.
((Inspiration hit me in the face like a ton of bricks, so RP #1! :B))

Isoke was off on her own again, roaming just beyond the territory newly claimed by her nephew Raziel and his new mate Turian. Of course that made it just beyond the territory claimed by her brother Belial and his mate Rennoa. Raz had always been something of a homebody so even with his siblings out in the world he'd remained close to home. It was good for him though to have found a traveler for a mate. Turian was working on getting him to travel some, but he was just as happy to share stories of all the places he had been.
Isoke shook her head. With her nieces and nephews grown up Isoke found her maternal instincts calming a bit. She was relieved to not have the longing weighing on her as much to start her own family. That relief and perhaps the desire to run-off what remained had her wandering a bit further out than she had in quite some time. She and Belial had been wanderers for a long time so it was still familiar territory to her, but beyond anything that had been formally claimed.
She was close to the edge of the forest when she turned to head toward one of the streams. That was when she began spotting curious puddles and was that... slush? She sniffed at one spot scenting a curious melding of ulaya male and ice, most especially curious because it was summer. "How odd...." she muttered to herself. She was filled with nerves and curiosity and curiosity won out as she followed the trail....

Onward he trekked, the shade of the trees a slight relief – the only relief he had found so far, unfortunately - from the summer heat. “There has to be water somewhere around here…” He muttered under his breath, ears pinning back in slight annoyance at his current situation. Maybe he could find a hill with a good view of the surrounding area, scope out the place and head towards whatever water source was closest. Perhaps he’d continue walking and keep an eye on the wildlife, they would certainly know where to go for a drink. Or maybe he’d-… Hm.
Maybe he should just ask that ulaya over there.
Olavi’s ears perked up as he realized there was someone nearby. He almost took on the appearance of a startled deer, with his horns, perked ears, and eyes widened in surprise. Well, as long as you ignored the fact that he was blue and coated with ice. ‘She looks nice enough. Er, I think…’ He watched her for a short moment, observing her actions. ‘Hopefully she’s not a threat.’ His pondering and consideration done, Olavi chose to make himself known to the stranger, stepping out from under the shade of the trees. A temporary discomfort, but he had other matters to attend to. “Hello there, miss.” He greeted her with a kind smile and a slight wave of his paw, leaving a polite enough distance between the two of them. “Would you happen to kno-… Oh! You have horns.” He would only come to realize later just how blunt that statement had been.
All of the manners his parents had taught him were tossed to the side as he realized one surprising thing: she had horns. Just like he did, just like his mother did, just like his sisters did. Another ulaya like him! Remarkable!
