Name: Ch'bal
Age: 17 Turns
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: Still figuring that out fully
Weyr: Presently unaffiliated - Seeking new Weyr (See History)
Rider Rank: Wingrider
Previous Rank/Craft: Weyrbrat
Physical Description:
User Image - Short (Around... 5'4"?)
- Scruffy dark brown hair, has a near-permanent stubble despite his best efforts(If he doesn't try to keep it tame, though, could grow into a wild mess of hair)
- Bright blue eyes
- Pale skin that burns easy in the sun
- Currently a light build due in part to age and still filling out
- Often seen wearing large clothes to make him look bigger... But also layers from moving north and "s**t it's COLD!"
Personality: Before Thread fell, Ch'bal was a thrilled and happy boy. He had, after all, Impressed a dragon! He felt a freedom unlike any other, training aside, and while the freedom came with terms and conditions, he accepted them whole-heartedly. He loved it! He loved tending to Anzoth, and participating in his training. When he finished training and wasn't bound by duty, he enjoyed helping around the Weyr, particularly with the creche, and would often sit to listen to the Harpers.

After Thread returned and the Weyr found out just how woefully unprepared it was, Ch'bal began to feel lost in his own sorrows. He presently fears Thread, probably more than is healthy to most, and seeks somewhere to make roost and call home. He wonders, though, will any Weyr have him?
Positive Trait List Loves children, dedicated, patient
Negative Trait List Fearful of Thread, feels lost, very vocal about how cold it is up north
History: Ch'bal was born a Weyrbrat at a small Weyr on the Southern continent, the son of two riders - He's not sure which, though. He was raised in the creche, as most children were, and only knew the creche as his extended family. It was, he later reflected, one of the few things the Weyr strictly adhered to. When he was old enough to Stand, he watched as many other children, both his age and older, and a couple adults, Impressed dragons, until only one was left, wiggling away with a couple cracks.

Nobody figured the egg would finish hatching and the dragonet would soon tire and die, but the single Weyrbrat refused to leave it, crouching in front of it until finally, a piece of shell popped off and bounced off his forhead. A small blue dragon soon escaped his confines and looked to this boy who had waited for him with love and adoration.

While Anzoth proved to not be the smallest dragon in the Weyr, as there were whites who could make that claim, he was certainly the smallest BLUE. Ch'bal loved him no less for it, though, and dedicated every moment to Anzoth as any rider should. He only felt confusion for his dragon when he reached what should have been maturity, and he failed to chase a rising green.

"They are not what I like," he'd simply been told.

And then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked Thread returned.

The Weyr had been woefully and severely under prepared, to the devastating effect that it was all but annihilated. The only resident golds died in the first fall, one heavy with eggs, and what few riders remained scattered to other places. Ch'bal and Anzoth fled westward, in hopes of finding a new Weyr, but found no solace, turned away by other unprepared Weyrs.

So it was that Ch'bal bundled up and they struck out northward, seeking a new home where, hopefully, they will be accepted.
Other: I'm still admittedly torn on if he should go to Western or High Reaches - He'd get proper training at High Reaches that would fix whatever shortfalls he had at his old Weyr, but at Western he'd be less Threadfodder for riding a Blue, so... Choices, choices! Also, to expand on just how much the Weyr erred on conforming to old ways, Ch'bal's training was the absolute bare minimum, as nobody thought Thread would return, let alone devastate an entire Weyr to destruction. Whichever Weyr he winds up at, they'll probably still have better training than what Ch'bal got, so he'll likely have to do actual remedial training.

DRAGON
Name: Anzoth
Age: 3 Turns
Color: Blue
Size: 23'
Physical Description: Anzoth is by no means a large dragon - There's actually greens who are bigger than he is. For whatever reason, he failed to grow past the smallest possible size for a blue. Not that he minds, his rider's tiny, too, so all's fair, right? His small size gives him a nimbleness that allows him to make tight turns like the greens do, while still having the stamina to an entire Threadfall. Complimenting his small size is the fact he naturally leans toward a light and thin build.
Personality: An easy way to describe Anzoth's personality is "Pompous little p***k" - He may be a blue, and he may be as small as a blue can get and he knows it, but he still thinks very highly of himself. He's also stoic and serious, not often one for jokes, and takes his inborn job very seriously. If, of course... He can get his rider up into the sky to fight Thread. He's not one to chase just any Green, though it could be speculated easily that he won't chase any Green, period. What he likes besides a clean and well-oiled hide, a full belly and comfortable couch to sleep on, are entirely Anzoth's knowledge and only his.
