Genevieve needed some new clothing, she needed some jogging pants and more, and that had brought her to Victoria's Secret. The heels she wore echoed softly, when compared to the all the other noise in the store, against the wooden floor as she moved from one table to another and than to a rack. She didn't need panties but at the same time she needed panties. She also sorta needed that bra, casual and simple as it was, and the leggings she grabbed were also needed. She was, right now, enjoying the whole idea of shopping and was caught up in as usual. It wouldn't be until later, when she was on her way home or actually home, that the guilt over how much she spent would hit her.
That guilt that loomed on the horizon wasn't even a thought to her as she grabbed items and let hooks hang from her wrist and clothing drape over her arm. She was rather caught up in it all, and to some it was likely obvious...to those who shopped like she did.
Moving from where she was, satisfied with the pants she had, she headed for the darker looking part of the store...the more mature side. Ohhh!!! That dark red color was nice, and over she headed with heels clicking and a hurried pace. Dark hair a swirl behind her as she moved and ignored how strands moved across her face and her hair looked a bit wild. She actually sort of liked it when her long hair started to look a bit wild and all over the place.

Jada was in need of some retail therapy, desperately. Something quick and easy, moderately painless, and local. Local for a reason, though it put most of her favored ateliers right out; local, since it was a Sunday, and she hadn't made any plans to vanish for days on a shopping binge-spree. Shopcation? Whatever, she just wanted to feel good, and did anything do that better than spending disgusting amounts of money on wardrobe? Chocolate, but that was right out- she'd put on a couple pounds and wasn't much feeling like seeing her photo in the rag mags along with Clearly she's pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111She was a shopaholic on a mission- and that mission was not, regardless of the amount of bags she was soon lugging along as she considered stores, to buy one of everything in the mall. She was mostly here for dresses and heels- a couple pairs of leggings, some workout shorts. She'd been thinking of reopening the gym at the mansion to friends who might want someplace a bit more private to practice. It needed some use, after all. Regardless, she was left with a few more items to pick up, mostly some undergarments. And what better place to get new intimates that made you feel cute, for cheap, than Victoria's Secret? At least local. Jada was fond of a lot of non-local lingerie stores that had 0 impact on her current shopping spree. The saleswoman had made her a room upon seeing the mass of bags she had in her possession, and was currently probably counting her commission while Jada grabbed item after item, considering it carefully before either setting it back or draping it over an arm to try it on. The available sizes in store were borderline, so she'd need to make sure they actually looked okay. The model clicked her heel against the tile, eyes catching on a pretty dark-red piece with black lace, and she reached out for the rack at the same time as another woman, pausing as they almost bumped into each other. "Sorry about that," Jada said with a bright smile, arms full of pieces to try. "Got over excited. Please, go ahead."

She too had not been paying attention to others around her, rather focused in the task of filling her arms with as many items as possible. If it was possible to grow extra limbs, or have some attached, Genevieve might just consider it, at least if it could be made to somehow look good, if only because it would afford her the ability to hold more items. Already with hangs hanging from her wrist and clothing draped from her arm the dark haired female was laden down with clothing. She wasn't planning to go anywhere else...but as she had continued here the likelihood of her moving to other stores had risen, shopping was addicting.
When someone was reaching for the same thing she was, hands nearly colliding, Genevieve was startled out of her tunnel vision and stared for a moment. "N-no it's ok. I wasn't paying attention." Laughing softly. "I know the feeling." Of being excited over shopping, how could she not? She lived for this, well sorta anyway.
"What size are you? I can find it while I get one for myself." It was the least she could do, since she was right here and she was sure they weren't the same size...at least she was fairly certain of that.

It was lucky that the other woman was willing to take Jada's little faux pas with grace, and the model tilted her head, giving the other woman a wry grin. "I get a bit distracted by clothes. Usually shoes, more than these," she waggled her arms a hair, almost losing a bra, "but sometimes a girl just needs to feel good about how she looks, and new clothing is just the ticket." Even if she didn't exactly have someone to appreciate her new purchases. She'd just have to appreciate them herself. The other young woman had a nice, ready laugh, and Jada let her shoulders relax from instinctive strain at their bump, into a more comfortable position, adjusting the items she had layered over one arm. "It usually depends on the style," she said after a moment, giving the other woman a grin of her own, "I usually run around a 32DD in styles here, if I recall. It's why I have so many duplicates in my arms, I'm afraid, I haven't explored their sizing in a while." A silly thing, perhaps. "I should have thought Her eyes caught on a matching piece to the set, and manicured fingers snuck out greedily, caressing over the panties, checking to see their style. "Do you need the match as well?" she asked, deciding to return the favor. "What size are you?"

"Clothing distracts me in general." Some stores more than others, depending on what they typically carried, though certain styles of clothing also were known to grab her attention - store be damned. "I agree and even if no one else sees what a girl is wearing under her clothing...these." Indicating what was in her arms, nodding her head to the items. "Certainly make a girl feel much better about herself." Single life...oh well. She was fine with that, at least most of the time, she had her friends and that was enough for her.
"Ohh...yeah - different cuts will do that." That was also a lot larger than herself. "They have some nice looks right now, a month or so back...I didn't really like them - they looked a bit too much like bathing suits I've seen." She stated with a bit of a shake to her head.
"The styles they have in winter are nice normally, some of my favorites." With more stones, lace, and darker colors. The winter and fall styles the store carried were much nicer in her opinion, they matched her clothing better.
"Ohh...a set pantie for it." She hadn't seen that. Nodding her head she smiled at the other. "A medium in the panties." While she was looking for the double D size for the other Genevieve was also looking for the C40 which she needed.
"By the way, I'm Genevieve."

"I am so glad I'm not alone in my distraction!" Jada's laugh was sharp but clear. It was always a relief to find a bit of a kindred spirit when it came to her shopping habits! Especially with the amount of money that she threw into the fashion industry on a monthly basis. She didn't even wear it all- just bought it. "I could use some feeling better about myself." by which she meant it would be great to feel cute and sexy. "Lord knows you don't buy anything from here if you want actual support for the girls." a pain in the back, maybe. Still, worth it. "There are some cute bathing suits, but I'm not sure I'd want underwear that looked..." she wrinkled her nose, considering briefly. "I guess it would depend on how hot it was in summer. There are some very supportive bathing suits and they usually run cooler than bra material. Some of the heavier dresses I've had to wear during spring and summer I was set up with more of a swimsuit material on the undergarments." Manicured fingers of one hand flicked through the undergarments, humming thoughtfully as she pulled out her phone with the other, double-checking the size chart before selecting her own size. "I'm Jada." she replied cheerfully, and held out her hand - and the deep red matching underwear. "Nice to meet you Genevieve."

"I think we all could." some more than others, of course, but what female did not need to feel better about their looks? As for males- they needed it too. She didn't discriminate against men, they had their own need to feel good about themself. Women just tended to be a bit more self conscious for whatever reason, though she knew a few males that were just as bad. "I agree though I don't suffer as much as you do." She wasn't sure she could handle the pain the others back must feel on a regular basis, she felt for the other.
"I should be getting a bathing suit. I mean I have last years, and it still fits. But you know that you never wear the same one two years running." At least she didn't. Heck! She normally had two or three each summer, for different sorts of situations. If it was a formal pool party it was one thing while the beach was another, than there was casual pool things with friends. Never use one from one year come the next - never.
"I'd imagine this summer will be hot - this city seems to be cursed like that." Which meant she would burn, as Genevieve was pale skinned, and a hot summer meant a sunny one and that meant lots of sunblock for her. "Bathing suits that run cool? Hmmm, I might have to have you show me. Normally I order mine from Venus Swimwear..." Trailing off as she thought over what colors they were using this year, they weren't bad. She'd get some patterned one for fun with friends, as it was more exciting, while some dark solid color for more formal things. That was how she typically did things.
"Swimsuit material for undergarments...for support?" She asked. She liked swimsuits, who didn't? But that material being for normal undergarments...she wasn't sure she'd like that much. While what was offered here didn't offer the best support they did feel nice and looked good.
"Nice to meet you Jada." Taking the offered panties she offered up the bra, easy enough to find. It seemed not many needed such a large size though they carried them. "Shall we try on the handful we each seem to have amassed - then put back what w don't like and fill our arms again?"

I think we all could. And wasn't that the truth? Jada tilted her head, giving a nod-shrug of acquiescence to the point made. "I wouldn't call it suffering," Jada said finally with a smile, "I'm a model, so they earn their keep." it was a joke- hopefully it didn't fall too flat. She hardly knew her audience, but as they had just shared their undergarment sizes, she figured the chances of Genevieve being a prude were lowering. "The least I can do is lug 'em around and let 'em feel pretty once in a while, right?" Considering the other woman, Jada shook her head. "Don't get a bathing suit here, for sure. Venus isn't that bad- it is what they do. Victoria's Secret suits this year seem to all be those high-waisted weird ones. All the straps on the hips. Honestly, if you're going to cover the belly button just go for material all the way around. Making your bathing suit look like a clingy adult diaper..." she made a face, sighing heavily. "Sometimes it is hard to wear the same suit two weeks running, much less two years. I donate all my old clothes and suits. They'll never go to waste in a town like this. There's always someone who would appreciate them." One manicured nail traced over a nearby cami, considering, before she pulled it away. "When in DC, it's best to assume that whatever can go wrong, will go wrong. There's some weird stuff going down, and after the winter we had, I wouldn't at all be surprised to find the summer just as odd. It will be a good excuse for pool parties though, hanging out with my friends and improving my tan." Jada had spent years trying to be as pale as possible. Now... she didn't quite care anymore. "The material itself doesn't run cool as much as it's lighter and meant for handling water, and thus sweat? So it treats it differently, rather than letting it seep and sog its way into your life. So if it's a super hot day, just say screw it and wear a godo quality bathing suit top and you may be less inclined to knock people over the head until they cry." Jada accepted the offered bra, lifting it to consider if it was about the size she would need or if she had misjudged. "Sounds like you have a plan to me. Sure, let's go. We can keep each other company for a bit." Yay!

"Ahh, yeah, they do I'm sure. I'm also sure they earn a lot more." Smiling at the other, she certainly understood what the other was saying. There was also truth to it. As a model they certainly helped her with work. "I agree with the pretty part...but are you sure you can't get something made to hold them up that you can wheel about as you walk?" She questioned with a hint of laughter in her voice. Something like that would be ridiculous but would be helpful no doubt. That was still, in her opinion, a big size and something which would cause her a lot of back issues.
"I hadn't noticed this year's suits here. High waisted is not my thing. I think high waisted jeans are bad enough, don't need high waisted bathing suits." The jeans, with high waists, and skirts, just seemed to make any bit of a gut show...they didn't cover it up...they just seemed very...odd and not really flattering. "I don't mind showing a bit of stomach...at least with friends. Parties, of the high end sort.....that's another story typically." It would gain attention, certainly, but you didn't want it to seem too...flashy and showy.
"I've donated some of mine also. Coats, bathing suits...other things I know will be of use." Though a lot also remained in her closet where it was well loved and worn again and again...just with some time between each time, so people didn't notice.
At the change in topic she nodded her head. She had been involved in some of it but most of the winter incidents she'd heard of. She knew it was all negaverse things, or at least most of it. "There was also the fall - the large bats at the carnival. This city...they should pay us to live here at this point. It'll shorten all our lives - I'm sure of it. At the very least maybe pay people to go on vacations to get away." She was half joking, as something like that would not be possible, but also half serious. This city was a nightmare, worse than that storybook town in the show Once.
Laughing at the others comments about pools and knocking people over the head she shook her head. "Or dumping drinks on people...cause sometimes that just seems a rather appropriate thing to do to some people." Even if it was the heat talking in those moments. "It sounds like we should have a pool day together, or a party." She added while leading the way to the fitting rooms, unaware of what was lurking about the store and moving around the darker half of the store as it kept under tables and racks.

It was silly to be talking about her breasts like they were the big earners, and Jada couldn't stop her grin at how ridiculous it was almost winding up to be. Just a silly conversation, a break from the tedium of worrying about... everything, really. "They aren't that heavy," she told the other woman with a laugh, glancing down at her cleavage with a moue, "And I can see my toes, so it could be worse. I think we can hold off on the wheelbarrow for now." tongue in cheek, eyes crinkled with humor. "I'll keep the idea in mind." It was such a relief that Genevieve had the good taste to disdain high-waisted clothing. "I have a singular skirt that is high-waisted, but it is a rare occasion type item. Bathing suits, underwear, pants, please, keep it away from me." she shifted to consider an item on the wall, before remembering they were supposed to be moving towards the dressing room. Well. She would just have to come back! "Revel in your stomach while you have it. I hear it goes away and gets exchanged for grey hair." Not a trade she was looking forward to making as related to old age. Maybe if she decided... well. That was a heavy thought for another time. "Destiny City is a mess, and it feels like the government has given up on trying to do more than damage control. Going out after dark is taking your life into your hands, and sometimes, even the middle of the day you might have some little demon rat trying to gnaw on your foot." she shrugged; sighed. "Dump a drink on a different kind of rat, yes? I do have a pool, and I've been trying to decide what I could do with it this summer. We could mix the pool day and a party into a nice little event by the water." she followed the woman easily into the store, more serious than she let on. "The house hasn't seen any nice parties since..." Since her mother was alive. Szelem had died almost 5 years ago. "Well. It's almost time. I was talking over a masquerade for Halloween with a friend, but it may be something I'll be planning alone. A pool party would be a nice diversion." A pause, as they moved closer to the dressing rooms. "Have you been in Destiny City long? Grow up here?"

Genevieve almost burst out laughing at Jada's response to her, oh it was amazing to talk to someone so freely and have them joking around with her. It was nice, even if some people might be offended or bothered by what they were joking about. Some people were just too sensitive.
Ohhh! Another person who hadn't given into the ungodly trend of high waisted clothing! It was such a shame people tried to pull off the look but managed to just show some little pudge that otherwise wouldn't have been noticed, if they had just worn normally waisted clothing. Did people not notice how bad it looked ?That is showed things no female should ever want shown? She had seen far too many wearing such things, a few such people being normal friends of hers. She'd had to keep silent about it to them, as they seemed to rather like the fashion trend.
"I agree on that. Not to mention anything high waisted makes the wearer look like they have a small bulge of fat where they shouldn't...not something anyone should ever want to have seen." Shaking her head the brunette was smiling and laughing softly.
"Yes, but should there be a theme?" She questioned then, tapping a well manicured finger tip to her bottom lip. "A masquerade? Why ever would you plan something like that alone? That would need a few people planning it...or two if both people are diligent and know how to properly plan a good party - which I'm sure you can do." She said nodding her head as she spoke. The idea of a masquerade was lovely, already she could come up with a few ideas for such a thing. But right now a pool party was to be her focus. They could plan a really nice one.
"I grew up here. I went to Crystal. My parents are almost never home so I sorta did a lot of that growing up on my own...or at least a fair amount of it." Shrugging it off as she turned her dark eyes onto the other who had seemed to stop briefly.
That darkness, moving through the store, had finally grabbed someone by the foot. The worker looking down, expecting a child, didn't find a child...but something else.

Jada grinned, leaning closer to the other woman as they walked. "I have a few tricks for handling high-waisted skirts- other than not wearing them, of course. They are a slightly retro trend that sometimes just makes me feel good. High-waisted pencil skirt, a nice belt to help hide some of that pudge, some sky high heels, a shirt that would make a librarian proud? Could look quite nice, if you invest in doing it right, and treat the style as the rarity of taste it is." Geneveive seemed intrigued by the idea of the masque, and Jada beamed to her. "Charity masque. My family used to hold parties for the children's ward of the hospital. I am sure that such a thing wouldn't be frowned upon, given all the issues we were just discussing. Planning it alone could be a bit of an adventure, but it isn't like I'm trying to plan a wedding. Just a party." and she'd been planning it to be with a friend who was unavoidably away. "I was a Crystal girl myself," Jada said after a moment, eyes brightening. "Always nice to meet another one. I can't believe we haven't met before." she beamed, pushing the curtain leading to the dressing rooms aside and holding it for the other woman to go first. "Sometimes it seems like there's a surprising amount of us popping out of the woodwork."

"That looks sound a bit like a pin up girl...retro can work. I think you'd need to do the hair in a fitting style as well though..." Which could be done though she herself, and jada it seemed, had a lot of hair to work with. But if you went for a style like that you had to do it right, as the other said. It still wasn't her style and she still thought it showed a gut, even if there wasn't one, but it could be made to look good. Just most people didn't do that.
"Tell that to most people who wear high waisted skirts or shorts. They do it wrong."
OHhh a charity party! That sounded even better - it was for a good cause! "My parents tend to go to almost every charity event in the city. I'm sure they've been to a few then." She went to a good amount of the events as well, not all of them though. She had school and other things that kept her from attending everything, which was fine with her as school was important.
"Maybe we have in passing and never knew it. I mean we have to be close in age. So maybe the same grade but different teachers and different circle of friends." But still close enough that they had passed each other, especially at events? Stepping into the dressing room, smiling at the other brightly.
"If you want...perhaps I can help with planning that charity eve-" She got cut off, or perhaps drown out, by the scream that ripped through the air. The worker, who had found the surprise youma, had just been pounced by the thing. A table full of bras and panties being flipped and landing with a resounding thud as merchandise went flying all about. Two mannequins, both well dressed, landed on the ground as well. Chaos was erupting.
Pausing she stared at the other..."Jada?" What did she do....she wasn't sure and she was watching the other while wanting to run and see what was going on. As she was now she had no way of telling but hearing the noise from other customers who were going to look, and others who were moving away from the source of the commotion, she had a feeling what was going on.

Jada beamed, violet eyes bright with excitement. "I love retro style. Everything from victorian-steampunk look, to like 1950's pinup?" Jada waved at her figure wryly. "I can sometimes rock the pinup look. The hair is a bit harder after you have a certain amount of it, but honestly, with a good stylist you can do just about anything." she winked to Geneveive, adding, "Even manage to rock a high-waisted skirt. Though it does help if you have nothing in your midsection but intestine." Her eyes lit about the other woman's parents, and she said, "Really? I might know them, then. My mother was Szelem Montgomery-Chamberlyn, and I swear, if there was a charity event within a mile she could get her paws in she did, and dragged me to them for as soon as I was old enough to know how to behave." Had Geneveive been invited to her debut? Half of Crystal had been, after all. "Her opinion tended to be that who you know mattered more than what you know." she hadn't been wrong, either, but then Jada's family was wealthy enough to make up for the what you know. She hummed, thinking. "I'm almost 25, I would have graduated in 2010 if I hadn't been in a coma. I got my diploma though, even if I didn't get to wa- what the <********>?" the crash and the bang and the loud screech from outside the stall, and just- "I- I would hide." she reached into her purse, pulling out her henshin pen and her cell phone. Her henshin pen was magic. What were the chances someone would recognize it wasn't an actual pen? "Yeah, hiding is great. I'm just gonna get in this stall right here and be the quietest."

"Y-yeah you do that...and we'll talk once this is over. Though I am a bit younger than you...so graduated after you did. But the last name is Delacroix, you might know that. My mother liked to help with charity events and my parents took me to a lot of them as well." The odds were high that they had passed each other many times, likely been to many of the same events. She was sure the name rang bells but right now she needed to do other things, like handle the cause for all that noise outside the dressing room area. Slipping into the dressing room her fingers shook enough she dropped the henshin pen she was taking out of her purse, not to mention her arms were over loaded with items from shopping.
Bending, dropping items onto the floor, she reached out with a manicured hand and grasped the pen. Hoping the other either didn't know what it meant or hadn't seen it, it wouldn't be good if Jada was somehow on the other side and saw that slip of hers.
They would, she hoped, talk after this as she was sure they had been to several of the same events and she she had been to more than one debut party, it seemed like a popular thing at Crystal.
Ducking into the fitting room, items all over the place she dumped them onto the seat in the room, uncaring for the mess they made, and held tight to her henshin pen for a moment before calling on it's magic and powering herself up. She really hoped she could handle this and didn't need to call Kallichore - that would be embarrassing.
