"So we've got ice cream and fruit and there's milk already at your place, do we need anything else to make milkshakes?" They were already on their way out of the grocery store so it was a bit too late to be asking but he didn't think they needed anything else. Afton did usually have things for their weird late night ideas and he doubted this one would be any different. They'd just gone to pick up a couple ice cream flavors so they had some variety.

It seemed like a decent way to spend a saturday night. Home made milkshakes, videogames, and whatever else they decided to get up to. Their usual game night had to get canceled since a couple people were out of town but they'd both wanted to get out and at least do something.

Sitting at home talking to each other on the computer seemed a bit silly now that they could actually hang out at one or the other's place.

"I know you have bread and jelly so I could make a sandwich for breakfast." He smiled. "I figured I would crash there, unless you don't want me to? Since we usually stay up late playing games." He didn't think Afton would tell him he couldn't stay but he wasn't going to just completely assume he could stay.

There would technically also be leftover pizza but he did try not to eat that sort of thing for breakfast if he could avoid it.

"There was that one night when you had to get up for class and you knew you wouldn't if I was over." He smiled as he put a bottle of coconut water on the belt with the rest of their things. They split the payment up and he snagged a couple bags before Afton could take them all so they could head back to his apartment.

It wasn't that often that they snagged stuff before starting one of their game nights, they usually involved take out, but he was glad that this time they'd thought ahead. It would be fun making shakes and snacking on the pizza.

"You needed to not skip that class again. You'd already skipped once and you told me that professor was really picky about people being absent. I'm not going to be at fault if you skip enough to piss off a professor." He shook his head slightly, trying not to laugh. He appreciated that Afton wanted to spend time with him but he didn't want him doing bad in school because of it.

He tipped is head as they walked thinking about the game choices.

"Hm, I think Overwatch. At least for a bit? They changed the stuff for the loot boxes so they're supposed to drop a better variety of stuff and there's some skins I still dont' have."

"So last time you have to take anything he teaches?" He had one professor he wished he could get away from like that but alas he'd have to take at least one more of his lectures.

As they walked he started to notice an odd feeling, something prickling the back of his neck. He tried to ignore it for a bit but eventually he shivered slightly.

"Aft ... is it just me or does it feel like someone's watching us?"

"You told me not to watch those things before bed. Not to not watch them at all." He grinned, shifting his grip on the bags for a moment to run a hand through his hair.

Hearing Afton say he'd protect felt good, somewhere deep in his chest, but he still felt like they were being watched. It wasn't a nice watched either that you'd usually get from a cat or something watching you. It was still making his skin crawl.

"And more weird stuff goes on in this city than in those tv shows." He nudged Afton gently. As he did so he felt the strange feeling grow and looked up just in time to watch a strange shape materialize in the air above them. He had a moment of shock before the shape solidified into a giant vulture and the creature swept out a wing at them.

Sumi berated himself as he saw the youma materialize in front of the two boys. He'd been able to sense the unawakened senshi but he'd hoped, maybe, that he wouldn't have to awaken him. Somehow he'd missed the youma sneaking about though and unfortunately for the senshi and his companion the bird decided it wanted something fresh to eat.

When the blue-haired boy pulled the senshi out of the way he darted out of the shadows and scampered up to the senshi's feet. "Hey! Yes down here ... take the pen," He motioned to the pen he'd set on the ground so he could talk. "Say Erato Power Make Up ... you'll be able to get rid of the youma."

He squeaked slightly when Afton grabbed him but he was glad it meant he was out of the way of the monster. He expected to feel the things claws any moment but it swooped up for a moment just as he heard a voice. Looking down he spotted a kitten, a talking kitten and the strange thing it had put on the ground.

Not sure what he was doing he picked it up, too startled to really question obeying the orders of a cat. "Erato ... power make up?"

The pen started to glow in his hands and after a strange flash and a really weird sensation he was staring down at gloved hands and some shorts he was definitely not wearing a minute ago. "What did you do to me!?"

Sumi looked up at the senshi. "Sorry! You're a senshi. Promise I'll explain it all when there's not a giant bird. Just .. you have magic, you should be able to feel it and what to say."

His confusion was broken as he heard Afton yelling, turning he looked over at his friend. "It's okay! I'm okay, I think .. maybe. Alive, I'm alive." He looked down at the cat again before squeaking as the vulture took a dive at him again. He scrambled out of the way but tripped and ended up on his a**.

The cat was right though and he could feel something. Holding up one hand as the vulture screeched at him he closed his eyes expecting to get claws to his face any second.

"Dryad's Vengance!" He couldn't quite see it, eyes mostly closed, but a mass of ghostly leaves appeared around him and the vulture backed off as soon as it couldn't quite see it's prey. "Wow ... AFT!" With the vulure circling over head and at least wary for the moment he scrambled up and caught Afton's shoulders once he registered where his friend was. "We should run."
