Since their impromptu walk in the park, Cass had texted Alrik on and off as he messaged her. The more they talked the more obvious to her it was that he was not well versed in the world of girls and how to interact but he was eager and willing and that was the kind of s**t that Cass liked to eat right up.
Though, it took the blonde much longer than she would have liked to beat around the bush and finally ask her to do something.
[Gamer Boy Ali: My night's free, what do have in mind, cutie?]
She texted back from her seat on her couch, curled up in an oversized sweater because her a/c was on and blowing through the townhome, as she idly worked through a puzzle offered by the game she was entertaining to kill some time.

His cell phone dinged from the side of his desk, Alrik's eyes glancing over for a brief second before returning to his current game. He'd been dropped into a competitive match and every second - every moment - was a chance that could make or break his rating. The name Cass flashed across his phone and for a moment, his face twisted into a frown. He wanted to read what she had to say, but... but... He was staring at his screen, Lucio skating by as he switched his character into heal-mode. Did he dare.... Swiping up the phone, he slid the screen open to see what message awaited him. Ah, jeez. He couldn't pass up a night like this, but at the same time... augh, no, he was being shot at! Clicking the phone icon, he shoved the phone between his shoulder and cheek, fingers clicking away as he speed boosted his way out of a tank's swinging range. The phone tone rang once, twice, three times... "C'mon, Cass, answer the phone," he muttered under his breath, inserting a curse as a Widowmaker's shot took him down to half health instantly. <******** class="quote"> Nuxaz

After she had texted him, her phone had come to rest on her stomach, just below her ribs and the buzzing of a phone call - because who had their ringtone on these days - tickled. Lazily her thumb hit the start menu on her control that she then let tumble to the floor before she swiped to accept Alrik's call.
"Hey, cutiepie." She answered lazily, stretching out on her couch like a cat. Her gaze shifted up to the ceiling, her free hand stretching above her so she could examine her nails in the yellow-lighting of her living room. "Did I text at a bad time?" She asked, noting the sounds of a familiar game pinging in the background. "I'm on...speakerphone?"
Everything sounded a little staticy, like she couldn't quiet make out what was going on. Or, he had his sound turned up unnecessarily high. Either way, she wasn't the focus of his attention and she wanted to remedy that so she kept talking. "I wanna see you Ali, dontcha miss me?"

“Hey, babe.” Fingers clicked away as his mouse swiveled across the Call of Duty themed mousepad. The end of the round was nearing, his team’s control of the point slowly building up their percent. 95...96...97… “Of course, Cassie, you know I do.” Teeth chewed on his bottom lip as he right clicked, bumping a D.VA off the platform. “I'm healing right now, if you can keep me company for the next few minutes while I finish up, I'll let you choose what we do tonight.” He could only hope that her desires matched up with his. Then again, just hanging out with a hottie who wanted him around was heaven on Earth, itself. The counter hit 100% and the screen went blue. Thirty seconds until the second round would begin. Leaning back in his chair, he used his now free hand to hold the phone closer to his ear. “So what's on your mind, babe? You know, besides yours truly.”

Alrik's voice came through her speaker and she found herself grinning at the way he greeted her. It wasn't anything spectacular, but it an improvement on the embarrassed way he had spoken to her in person. Plus, she liked being called babe in general, especially by the new boys in her life.
He continued to speak, telling her exactly what she wanted to hear like she thought he would. Since he lacked confidence when it came to girls, Cass knew that he meant it and her ego was loving it. "That's what I like to hear," she purred in a lower, husky voice followed by a ring of laughter as she dropped the arm she held up to dangle over the side of the couch.
"I think I could manage to spare a few minutes for your game." Her tone was light, playful because she knew her little Ali-boo had been neglecting his games for her so she could give him a few minutes. "If you don't win, we might not be able to hang out. Don't like spending time with losers," she teased.
She paused as she shifted, making herself sit up and cross her legs beneath her as she settled back into the crook of her couch. "I'm bored, Ali," she drawled, heaving a sigh. "I want to go dancing, you'll take me right?"

Across the screen, the Reaper was busy having an emote battle with the Junkrat, who was busy dancing around atop his oversized tire. The countdown to the second round was beginning, but his mind was everywhere else but in the game. "Like I'd tell you if I lost," he scoffed, rolling his eyes as a grin spread across his face. It was always obvious when Alrik was losing a match - he had a very difficult time, suppressing his anger at his failing teammates. "For all you know, I'm the best there is. Tellin' you though, Cassie, I bet we'd be an invincible duo if you'd just caved in and became my pocket healer." The match started and he leaned forward, returning his phone to cradle against the side of his face as he speed boosted the group forward, the majority heading for the disputed platform while Hanzo scaled up for a lookout perch. Her words had to playback in his head, the suggestion bringing a sour look across his face. "I don't dance, but I'll take you. Does watching count for dancing? Because I could watch you dance for hours, babe." Words came easy when his focus was split - there wasn't time to consider how he was flirting (or that he was even flirting to begin with), not when he was trying to stay out of the enemy's line of sight while he swapped his boosting over to heal mode. "Did you have a place in mind?"

"Dunno about best, babe. You haven't even seen me play." They had talked about what games they both played and, because it was the it game right now, Overwatch was a hot topic. Cass did play, just not as excessively at her potential bae did. Bright laughter bubbled out her mouth and into the receiver as she shook her head, knowing he wouldn't be able to see her.
"Puh-lease, I don't play healers." If he were with her, he would've seen her roll her eyes before she pushed hair back out of her face from where it fell wildly across her shoulder. "Sombra's my lady and you know that." Alrik would hear rustling in the background as she plucked herself off the couch and exited the room to head to the stairs, climbing them two at a time and effortlessly.
Making her way up to her room she started thumbing through her closet for a better outfit.
"You're gonna dance with me if we go Ali." In her mind, that was non-negotiable. "Unless you'd rather see me dancing with someone else..." Picking up a dance buddy, especially of the male gender, was easy for the lime-green haired woman. "It'll be worth it, promise." Tapping the speakerphone button, Cass tossed her phone onto her bed and proceeded to peel off her oversized shirt for something more form fitting.
"Yeah, I know where we can go."

He appreciated her sass, the only thing breaking his grin being the large hammer coming down on his poor little Lucio's head. It hadn't mattered that he'd pressed E only moments before - another swing of the tank's hammer and he was dusted. Biting his lip, he swallowed the curse word on the tip of his tongue - last thing he needed was to give her more fodder for teasing. So while he waited the respawn timer, his attention returned to the rustling on the other end of the call. Another soft static noise, then her voice grew distant. "Who's on speakerphone now, huh?" The thought of her dancing the night away in another man's arms right in front of him was about as appealing as getting a tooth pulled. He made a face, pushing his newly spawned character back into the game as he snorted. He'd dance - he wouldn't be any good at it, but he'd dance. Suddenly, his eighteen year old mind created its own question. "Wait - why are you on speakerphone? What are you doing?"

"I needed both hands." Came her breezily reply as she plucked a new shirt off a hanger and tugged it over her body. Shimming out of her spanks, she stepped out of them and crossed over to the dresser against the wall to open a drawer and pull out a pair of shorts that would be considered indecently short and tights, because aesthetic.
"What do you think I'm doing, dork. I'm changing so that when you're done with your little game, we can go out and you can put all your attention on me." Not that she thought it would be a problem at all. Sitting next to her phone, she worked on pulling the dark, sheer tights up and then slipped into the black shorts she'd picked out.
She would have gone out in the sweater, had done so multiple times, but she wanted to dress a little nicer. And to entice, because that's what she was good at.

He swallowed hard, his focus quickly transitioning from the screen in front of him to the phone nestled next to his ear. “You're changing?” The question was redundant - she'd said she was changing, so of course she was changing. Everyone changed into nicer clothing when they went out. Hell, he had intended to change his own shirt before leaving the house to spend time with her. But the mere thought of Cass standing there in nothing but her underwear (or even less than that!) had him fidgeting in his chair. On the screen, his teammates were already making snide comments over the fact he'd left his speed boost on. Rookie move, even Alrik knew. But thoughts of curvy hips shimmying into a skirt or cut offs…. “Whatcha wearing, angel?” His voice was getting dry, the concern for his rating evaporating. The second round had been sorely and quickly lost to the other team, but the blonde Rey was shutting down the program entirely within the next few moments without a second thought. “You know what - I'll find out myself. Wanna meet up or do you want me to stop by and pick you up first?” Rising from his chair, he tugged off his shirt and dug out a cleaner, neatly pressed one to replace the dingy one he'd been lounging around. “I'm ready when you are, baby.”

His question earned her laughter.
"Course, silly." She replied, a description poised on the tip of her tongue when he announced his intentions to just find out on his own. "You better hurry, cutie." She cooed, smoothing out her clothing before she picked up her phone and took him off of speaker. "Hmmm..." While he couldn't see her, she was tapping her finger against her chin.
"I think..." she said in a low, husky voice, "that you better come get me, lest someone else tries to pick me up on my way to you." Which, if she didn't want to be picked up she'd breeze past any strangers, but Cass was the type of gal who enjoyed knowing that she could make someone jealous by prospect.
"Babe, I've been ready since I answered your phone call. Why are you keeping me waiting?"

That was all the encouragement that he needed. Alrik knew it was reckless to waste his energy, especially if dancing was on the schedule for the night. So as much as he wanted to quick-change his way into his Captain form and teleport the distance it took to get to Cass's place, he sucked up the unfortunate fate also known as taking the public bus to travel the fifteen minute journey up the steps to her apartment complex. There wasn't any way under the bright, blazing sun that he was willing to take a chance of letting her get scooped up by a handsome, probably richer stranger who'd probably be a better dancer anyhow than he was. The phone conversation had been cut off to aid the young man in gathering the rest of himself together and fling himself out the front door. He'd shot a text to her when he'd made it onto the bus, but he was saving his grand entrance for the series of knocks he hammered out on her front door. "Got a player one out here lookin' for a player two," he called out, still brave and cocky with the large door providing a barrier distancing him from the beautiful face of one Cassadega Bright, "Know anyone interested in playing?"

Cass had taken to sitting on one of the stools in her kitchen, carefully peeling the wrapper off of a cupcake she had made earlier in the week, while she waited for her companion to arrive. Her phone buzzed once, gaze skimming the context of the text that she opted out of responding to.
The woman thought it silly to reply with anything when she was going to see him shortly.
Popping the last moist part of the cupcake remains into her mouth, Cass slid off her seat and strode over to the door as it was knocked upon. Unable to keep the grin off her green-painted lips, she opened the door and let herself lean against the door frame as she looked Alrik up and down.
"What game are you play, handsome?" Cass asked, reaching out to press the tip of her forefinger against his chest. "I think I might be interested depending on what you wanna do."

It took him a moment to recover from the sight of Cass in her street clothes (or would it be club clothes - either way, they were hot), her hand a welcomed distraction as he glanced down to watch her press a finger against him. He swallowed hard at the sight of her; how had he managed to win over the attention of a cute little number like her, again?? "Well the lady I'm seeing happens to want something that involves a little dancing." One hand fell into his pocket while the other extended out in offering towards her. "I'm not much of a dancer, but I hear it's dangerous to go alone, so figured she might as well take me with her." A simple shoulder shrug and a grin followed his pun as he lingered in the doorway. "We can always play everything else by ear, unless you had something particular in mind, babe?"

Some days, Cass was like a peacock, preening under the attention and weight of her companion's gaze. Clearly, he hadn't expected her to look as lovely as she did and she was proud of the way he looked like his mind blanked at the sight of her and the way she teased him with her touch.
"You gonna keep her safe from unwanted attention, cutie?" She asked, stepping into his space and up onto the balls of her feet. For one glorious moment, she looked as if she was going to kiss him and instead, she shifted, brushing her lips against his cheek instead of his mouth.
"I have a few things in mind, but let's see how dancing turns out first." She winked, licking her lips slowly as she coaxed him back and locked the door behind them. "Don't want to give away too much. Right, Ali?"
