She tried. She was nearly there when something, she didn't eve know what, hit her. Peony tumbled to the ground. She... she really wasn't cut out for this, was she?

He peeked his head up, just in time to hear the shouts and Mimsy's quiet response, and his arms clung just a little harder to her before he nodded in acceptance. She was right, after all. This was what they were here to do. And he could tell there were still people who needed his help.
This did not change the fact that a Mist Hunter hooked him by the ankle and FLUNG HIM AGAINST THE PORTAL, leaving him face down on the sand and struck dumb with confusion.
He waited a few seconds, before finally screaming up into the air.
"I COULDA ********' WALKED!"

And just when he was starting to think he wasn't loud enough, there someone was. As Jordan steadied him, Fredrick gave a quick grin, equal parts relief and gratitude. He'd definitely be sure to remember the hunter's face, to repay him somehow later. "Thank you. Really." Then he turned and made the last push to safety. After everything else, what point was there in being hesitant of the portal?
As he passed through the other side, he was ushered along and given...wait. These weren't even real bandages, just kid's bandaids. There was a pikachu on them. It proved to be a little too surreal for him, in the end. Plopping down somewhere out of the way of others coming through the portal, he just looked at the bandaids and laughed.

To put it short (without a long winded amount of possibilities that could have been), Milo had no idea what he had been doing the whole time there was a gigantic centipede (apparently) and other stuff going on. Things happened, stuff went down. His whole body covered in sand, his mouth filled with sand, Koume had felt cold at one point. He had been there and had done not very much; terrible really, he probably would have attempted to help someone.
And now it was apparently time to go. A portal had been opened not too far from where all the whatnot had been happening. Not like he was going to stall on the inevitable, he could dwell in his room about things later; get over this little misadventure of his.
Milo made for the opening, along with everyone else when he suddenly felt something hook around his ankle. His eyes darted about, following the line of the chain as quickly as he could just to make sure it wasn't anything serious. It didn't seem like it was a bad thing, well at first, that chain being attached to a giant weapon belonging to a Hunter he did not know. "Am I in- oh shi ~!" Clearly not getting that question out (or the exclamation) when he felt himself airborne and flung directly towards the portal itself.
Or close to it. The winds and the haste in the rescue landed him a little short of it. He did a little roll once he landed - nothing fancy, sadly, just something that happened - and found another mouthful of sand awaiting, and a little more down his pants. Milo coughed, getting the taste out as best he could, "aa, think I can appreciate that at least a little, ya." Not so much the landing but at least it got him clear most of the way. Majority of the way, all he had to do was go a few feet and he was clear.
