Aurora's boat ride had been a strange event indeed, after being sleepy and then wide awake all the sudden it was strange indeed, but it had been fun even if the snacks were strange. She hadn't done much familiar watching from the ship, so she was looking forward to watching the familiars at the reserve. Aurora was so thrilled when she first saw the torti, she had never seen a creature quite like them. They were so lovely, her tail wagged back and forth in her excitement. She took a deep breath listening to the host. Aurora sat down and curled her tail around her. Then she pulled out her notebook to make notes on the Torti.

Aedus smiled as he held out his arm and allowed the brown and red neuzebat land on him, he grinned and petted the adoreable familiar, that reminded him a little of himself. Though luckily the little fellow had two working eyes instead of only one. Aedus left the boat with his new friend eager to see the new familiars. Aedus laughed these torti must have when the reason he thought the ruins were haunted they didn't mean to cause damage to the ruins but it happened all the same. Aedus watched them closely looking to see what he could learn about these familiars he wanted to know everything he could about all familiars.

Nashira had enjoyed the boat ride, even if those snacks had been questionable. At least she wasn't pink or speaking in rhyme anymore. But that wasn't to say she wasn't eager to get off the boat. No, this was the whole reason she had come on this trip... The familiar conservation, the new species of familiar. She just... could hardly stay still as she listened to the instructions. Take notes. Got it. She could do that. She carefully pulled her notebook from her bag and started walking, careful not to step on one of the baby torti that were scampering about. She found herself a spot away from the crowd, in a little bit of shade, where she settled down and began to watch. At first, she only saw the little ones racing to and fro. She wanted to see adults.

It wasn't that he didn't like boats, no, they were quite fascinating. But Nicolae was very glad to get OFF the boat and back onto dry land. The students had all seemed to enjoy the familiar spotting, and that was the important thing. Now that they were talking with the conversationalists, the children seemed to be behaving. "Remember, don't chase them!" He called after some children who seemed to be eager to see the crystalline torti.

Coco looked around for others she knew as she watched the torti, she hadn't found Vanna in the ruins, she had found Kayla Sue though and that was good. Coco liked the little freshling and wondered where Aben had wandered off to. They had to be around here somewhere. Perhaps they were taking a nap somewhere this trip would take a lot out of any freshling. It had taken a lot out of Coco as well. She again ended up wishing Calypso would come with her on these trips, they hadn't spent time together in a while and Coco missed Calie dearly. Coco had lived and done so much she felt like she was drifting apart from Calie.

Thomas enjoyed the more relaxed time on the boat, certainly enjoying the disconnection from the actual location. Eventually, however, it had to come to an end. The naga tried not to let his discontent show and, for once, focused on the freshlings. Talking to them about what he knew of the area, he helped guide them to the conservation area. It was almost amusing to watch them eagerly approach the familiars. Thomas himself leaned against a nearby tree, gazing into the wired area. "You guys have it made," He commented, jealous of the easy life they seemed to be living. Despite that, they seemed panicked and upset. What did they have to be so worried about?

Kayla Sue had been sketching for a long time now and was finally happy with the out come. One very big tortis had poked it head out just long enough for Kayla to draw it head in. She was even able to draw a could of the babies. Brushing away the eraser shavings,, Kayla looks at the finished produce and smiles. "Well time to begin the written notes." she says out loud to herself. Digging into her pencil bag she pulls out a quill and ink bottle so begin writing.
