Cadassi was sitting on the beach. Same place he's been for what felt like years. Over time, he had lost contact with friends. Lovers. People in general. He really needed to man up and make a new friend. His life was getting depressing.
He missed the good old days when he had to wear a suit of armor on a date.

 The calm water before the beach suddenly erupted in activity as a female figure breached the water's surface. The sprite let out a 'WHEEEE' before she started to just about swim through the air, her delicate wings fluttered and flung the water upon them flying in every direction. The female did a loop in the air and then canon balled back down in the deepest part of the shallows. Well, someone was having fun by themselves.

Cadassi watch the sudden appearance of a sprite with amusement. Someone enjoyed beig by themselves. It would probably be best for him not to interrupt them. His moroseness was a terrible damper on such a party.
He wiggled his toes in the sand one more time before slowly getting to his feet. Then he turned and shuffled on up the beach so he wouldn't disturb the happy fish girl.

Maybe it was just stupid luck or maybe it was a bit of the will of the spirits but Geyser caught movement out of the corner of her eyes. She spun in the water to face the beach. Huh? Who was that? A beach goer? He has a dorsal fin like a shark! She hadn't seen that before. He also had a funny tail like cousin Fiammetta. He looked like he should like the water but...He wasn't covered in sand like she got when laid on the beach. Huh. She should fix that.
"HEYYYYY! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" The sprite wildly waved both arms in the air to get the leaving demon's attention. "WATER IS GREAT!"

Cadassi stopped when he heard hollering behind him. He turned and saw the sprite jumpin up and down in the water and waving her arms. He couldn't quite make out what she was saying.... Was there something behind him?
He turned to look behind him.
Huh. Nothing there. He turned back toward the sprite and mimed that he could hear her. While yelling "What??!!!"

The sprite made a funny face in the water as she floated there. She couldn't hear what he was saying! His lips were moving but she couldn't hear him! She did hear 'what?' though.
With a powerful flick of her tail Geyser started to swim towards the beach. When the water became to shallow to swim in she easily glided into flight mode. With in a few short moments she was hovering just before the demon.
"Hi hi where are you going the water is that way it's really nice you should go in hey what's your name why do look so lonely do you-" The sprite gasped and brought her hands to her mouth. "Do you need help?" Her eyes almost seemed to sparkle.

Cadassi was mildly alarmed when in response to his question, she came at him like a pissed off bull at a stop sign. He backed up a few steps quickly and eyed they way too happy pae in front of him.
Then all of sudden her expression changed and Cadassi felt horrible for backing away like she contained radioactive materiel.
He painted a smile on his face and quickly answered "No. I'm not lonely. Why would I be lonely?"
Oh wait. That didn't come out right. Should he try again? Dear God's and goddesses, he forgot how to converse with pae!!

The sprite expression seem to be almost cartoonishly exaggerated as she squinted to the stranger. "WELL you're sitting out here alone and it's SUCH a beautiful I mean how lonely can that be!" She threw up her arms slightly before crossing her arms and to think. He needed help. SO MUCH HELP. He needed more help than daddy Ahto! HMMMM. What to do what to do.
She clapped her hands together. This poor poor soul needed a friend so badly it physically hurt her. Every lonely person needed a friend! A best friend was better! "Let's go swimming! You look like you need to stretch your legs a bit! It always makes me feel better...Well I live in the water so coming up here to get some sun...Hmm...Guess there is walking...But swimming is funner!" She was bouncing slightly. "Come on come on swim swim!"

Cadassi was a little alarmed by how absolutely cheerful this pae seemed. And she was a fish. That was alarming in itself. Add the overly cheerful attitude and be was almost scared.
He nodded along as she talked until he realized she wanted him to go somewhere with her. "I'm sorry. Swimming?" He asked, trying to stall as he attempted to get his depressed brain to find an exit.
