Away from the drills, hammers, and steady sound of people moving equipment from one damaged room to another less damaged room, the pod room was relatively quiet. That was aside from the constant beeping that started like a triggered egg timer.

Recently things had been quiet down in the pod rooms and Lawrence had used it mostly to get some time away from everything else, some peace and quiet. He loved it there, finding the deathly stillness like the cool peacefulness of a cathedral.
When the alarm went off further along the rows he let out a sigh, putting away the journal he'd been writing in, getting up and making his way down to where the alarm was incessantly ruining his day. He tripped the lock on the pod to let it spring open.
"Good morning." he said amicably.

The blonde that stood in her pod slowly blinked as the lid was lifted and looked around the outside room and then back at him. "Whoa. That was crazy."
Setting her hands against the pod lid, she stepped slowly out, then decided that her body just wasn't really down for being up, so she sat down on the floor and looked up. "Thanks man. Really kind to like - set me free."

Lawrence raised a brow just a tiny amount as he took in the hunter in front of him. "You are welcome." he said, sizing her up mentally and very subtly adjusting his posture and attitude in line with her, just a little more Jan than usual. "I'm Lawrence. You doing alright?"

Her eyes wandered to the lights above the pods and she turned around to look up at the runic lights above her own before looking back hat him. "Yeah, though the answer was right out there. Being reborn...bloody violent mess. Gotta realign myself to the new elements."
Rising up, she stretched out her arms and closed her eyes, taking deep breathes and then opened them to look over at him, dropping her long arms. "I'm gonna like, imprint on you. Alright." And she set a hand on his shoulder.

Lawrence followed her attention and smiled a little wider, letting her rest her hand on his shoulder in spite of the surge of revulsion that accompanied the contact.
"Oh you seem like a very vibrant person." he said. "I'm able to see auras and yours is exceptional. What would you like to be called?"

A surprised smile came back. "Ah, woah? I feel like, a lot of negativity surged around me." And he eyes went to the pod and the light. "Maybe like, the healing blue energy of this light came to me. It's resonating with the sky of my mind."
Looking back down, the same loose smile remained. "I go by Shay. How should I address you?"
She removed her hand after and started at it, turning it over. "You have a strong melody humming inside you."

The short man didn't seem at all phased by the complete jibberish his companion was speaking and instead simply nodded indulgently. "There is a lot of negativity here you'll find, we are adrift upon an ocean of it, bad karma, bad attitudes. They'll try to turn you against your real friends but I can see you won't let that happen, not with an aura like yours."
He bowed a little. "Lawr or Lawrence is fine, never Larry."
"And a melody eh?" he said with a slight chuckle. "I'm afraid my melody is gone but I can still play a good tune."

"Nay, man. No place is a void. There is always balance." She pushed up and walked a few steps, turning to look up.
"Wow, blue. What a soothing color."
"You haven't lost your melody, Lawr. You will always vibrate with a piece of the world. I can feel it there hummin. You just gotta listen to it, man."
She continued to answer and looked at the various pods. "Wow, this is trippy."
