Physical Description: Though she's only fourteen, Amura looks older than her turns and often takes advantage of this if it'll get her something she wants. Her skin is a light tan from all the time she spends outside and her eyes are green. She keeps her straight brown hair long and partially tied back. She occasionally braids it when she needs to but she prefers it mostly loose. She loves to wear anything that's loose and flowy, and loves pretty colors and clothes. She's on the shorter side of average and doesn't mind it. Heels are not her friends and she does not wear them if she can help it.
Personality: Amura is a very social and outgoing person. She loves to make friends and acquaintances wherever she goes. She enjoys being around people and will sometimes go out of her way to be in a crowd rather than be alone. She doesn't always have to be the center of attention, but she certainly doesn't mind being under the spotlight either! Her favorite kind of plans are the kind that happen on the wing, so to speak. Because of this, she tries not to make concrete plans with anyone and if she does then it's because the person asking or the task itself is important to her so she does her best to curb her spontaneity. She loves to laugh and to have fun, almost to the exclusion of everything else.
She doesn't mind doing the responsible thing....as long as it's also fun. If it's not fun or it seems too hard, she tends to brush it off or ignore it. The exception is if it's something she wants to do. This is one reason she's flitted around so much, learning a little bit about a lot of trades and crafts. Her stay at Rubicon River and learning about Search & Rescue has been the one thing that's stuck for her in terms of time and keeping her interest. She uses the things she's learned to do odd jobs wherever she can to make marks and she uses the money she makes to buy herself what she calls the better things in life: things made of fine and soft fabrics, plush furs, jeweled beltknives. If it's pretty, shiny, or silky you can bet that Amura has her eye on it.

History: Born at Southern Weyr, Amura has always had a need to travel and see the world! Whenever possible, she hitches a ride with someone in her family and tries to see everything she possibly can before they herd her back home. Lately, they've been letting her stay longer as long as she promises to stay out of trouble. Her most recent stop has been Rubicon River Hold where she's been learning Search & Rescue techniques. She's always been attracted to the water, and adores swimming as well as sailing.
She's also looked up to her brother Jacomus and her sister Jacquol for as long as she can remember. She would love to be just like them, and this is where her wanderlust comes in. She's learning everything she can and when she's a little older she wants to join them and their pirate family. Before Thread returned she wanted to be a candidate, but now she's not quite as sure. It's not that she's afraid of the silver menace, it's more than she doesn't want to be tied down to one location. She thinks she'd feel stifled and that's what she's afraid of most.
