Clyde was busy cleaning out the old Cafeteria. What was still good needed to be shoved into a new location, preferably in boxes. He gathered up some spilled rice and shoved what hadn't touched the ground back into the bag, while leaving the rest to be swept up later. He tied off the bag and stacked it with the things to go out.

Looking around he grabbed noodles, peanuts and a bunch of pantry items, getting them into a stack. And then he worked out the cans. They were easier, and easier to tell if the seal had been broken. He gave them a squeeze and listened for air. Two piles, one to be either used immediately or tossed out, the other pile was storage. And those would go on the bottom of the boxes, if anyone could scrounge him up some.

Clyde settled down into silent work mode. it wasn't as much fun as hammering but certain things needed to be cleared and cleaned before he could get down to real work. Besides food was a priority. As long as he had a place to sleep, he was good.

That lasted him a while before he started moving stacks into the area where the would be stored for now. He started with bags because he didn't need boxes for those.

He still couldn't find the coffee.

October was somewhere in the ruins of the cafeteria.

Possibly draped over a pile of rubble.

Most definitely asleep.

Nora nearly tripped over the sleeping man and was tempted to kick him. Instead, her steel-toed boot knocked a rock against the offender's leg in passing.

"Caught red handed!" she declared as she rounded on Manbun, grinning playfully. She bent and picked up one of the packages of ramen, hefting it like it was a baseball. "Stealing food, are we? That's low."

Clyde turned around and tripped over October. Was he asleep?

Why was he asleep here?

Clyde prodded her. "You alive?" he looked dead.

"Stealing? you mean saving it... right? are you here to help or just tease me? cause I'm gonna put you to work."
he spoke roughly but had a teasing smile on his face.

The rock bounced off of October's leg, which didn't wake him, but the question of his aliveness made him open his eyes, a look of distress on his face.

"No," he said woefully. "I'm most definitely dead. There's no food."

This was clearly an enormous tragedy. October squinted at the pair of people in front of him as he sat up, clearly trying to figure out who they were and why they were here disrupting his Very Important Nap.

"Are you those Horsemen thingies?" he asked suspiciously. "Someone said something about Horsemen thingies."

"Is that a threat?" she asked, arching a brow and cocking a hip. "I'll have you know I was perfectly fine demolishing broken walls on my own before I caught a criminal in the act."

Looking down at the woeful hunter, Nora nudged him. "Mate, if we were, you'd be dead. Up on your feet now."

You got to demolish walls? I'll trade you jobs. I'll demolish the walls and you can salvage the food." Clyde almost forgot about his quest, his very important ques for coffee. But then his vision blurred reminding him how tired he was. "Have you seen any coffee?

Clyde looked at the man on the ground frowning. "There is food. Go scavenge that pile there. It's all cracked and needs to be used now or tossed." he wouldn't try to eat anything with meat in it, but there was a few good things in that pile.

The phrase up on your feet elicited an expression of abject horror on October's face, who looked as though he couldn't quite believe that anyone wanted to subject him to such a fate.

The thought of food was tempting, but...

October stared dismally up at his two companions. "Are you going to make me..." There was a shudder of revulsion as October reluctantly - and with a great deal more effort than standing actually required - dragged himself slothlike to his feet, "work?"

"Or you help me and I enjoy the show~" Nora countered in an almost purr. "A win-win."

As the slump of a man finally got to his feet, she helpfully slapped an arm about his shoulders and pushed him to stand up straight with too much pep.

"Imagine, dear, if we found the buried treasure of coffee first. We'd get to split the prize before anyone gets their hands on it. Although I'm a little more concerned about clean running water..." She eyed the other man's coat. "Moon worries about that stuff, right? You haven't by chance gotten a report on that?"

"Did someone say Moon and working?" came a voice that was way too chipper for someone who would be doing such a grueling job, but that was Joy in a nutshell. Clearing her and Kai's place in towns as best as they could reminded her that there were other people and other places that might have gotten trashed during the Horsemen thing. Which was why she arrived with some spare towels and a bag to carry their future laundry load.

"I'll do your moving and lifting for you if someone else does the report writing s**t for me." She may have been grinning as she made the declaration but she was not joking about the report writing.

Clyde gave October a level stare. "Yes work. The sooner this is all done the sooner we get to eat." why was that hard? In this case it wasn't like a little cash was going to get them food from an alternative source.

Clyde tossed Nora a grin, and flex his biceps at her. "Wall work comes after salvage I think. Hungry men don't work as well. But you have a point about the water. I think the dorms bathrooms are still working though, so I'm not worried." He wasn't a plumber and he didn't envy whoever was on that job. "I'm just a trainee, I'm the guy that the higher ups send to fix things, not the one who decides what gets priority. Though right now, everyone is a moony." So much work to be done. Once the worst of the clean up was over he'd probably still be fixing things for weeks.

Speaking of moonies. Clyde grinned at Joy. "Just leave the report writing for after." Never mind that they needed reports on what needed to be fixed. But Clyde... generally "Forgot" to turn in most of his paperwork beyond, oh hey this is fixed. Need supplies. He did however, take a towel. He was already on break. "You didn't happen to pack over some water too? Or better yet, coffee?"

In spite of his slothlike state, coffee did sound good to October. He gave the woman a despondent look as she slapped his shoulder, wincing a little at the sheer amount of pep.

It sort of made him want to go back to sleep again.

There was another bright eyed, chipper person trying to be bright eyed and chipper in front of him. October slumped a little against the woman's side in an effort to not continue standing upright, the idea of heavy lifting instinctively making his limbs turn to jelly.

"Do we have to write reports?"

"You're gonna have to ask the peeps in Death on why we gotta write reports," Joy laughed, though the expression on her face suggested that she too shared the general consensus of not wanting to write any. She rummaged through the bag, but only came up with "Water. I might have some coffee back at the flat, which you might have to take a look at after all of this," the intermediate trainee gestured to their current situation. "Is cleaned up and fixed up. Although think we can add like, a couple more ovens? And maybe switch out the gas ranges for induction ones?"

Joy liked being in the kitchen and on cafeteria duty. Even if it was the shitty shitty task of washing dishes. "Oh! And bigger and better dishwashers? It's not like we got dainty delicate s**t."

She laughed at the show, and in her head Bea giggled as well. Ah, men~

Someone else doing the physical labor was tempting, but Nora wasn't one to handle paperwork well. Besides, she didn't mind the work. She minded getting grimy[/] in public.

"Don't look at me, I don't install the things, just use them," Nora said with a slight shrug. Luckily for her, Evan's room came with its own kitchen, so forgive her if her priorities weren't quite as aligned. "Where exactly is this area in the cafeteria anyway? If it isn't the pantry, or the storage, I wouldn't waste my time digging for coffee. But, ah...what sort of coffee do you have?"

"I work for coffee." Clyde grinned. Coffee. he needed it. it had been to long. his body was turning to sludge without it. he did however take some water. it was important to stay hydrated. "You are a godsend Joy."

"I think we are somewhere near the kitchen. I'm thinking this whole thing will have to be started over. I don't know that we can afford new things though. Even if it would be nice to have new things... I suppose someone will have to draw up a supplies request. I want a nice coffee maker."

That someone was going to have to be him, wasn't it. He was the Moonie... "I guess, I'll do up a small report. Since I'll probably be the one installing things once we get them." Really check, Clyde was maintenance. But if they were getting new things anyways, might as ell be sturdy, nice new things. "I can't rune anything up though."

"Alright we have dishwashers, new induction ovens, and coffee makers. Let's go find the fridge and freezer and check the damage there too. Anything else we need?"
