It wasn’t too late at night, just mid evening really, when Terry convinced Seung to go on patrol with him so they could get out and stop worrying about wedding planning for a little while. Not that he wasn’t excited and looking forward to it because he was, he just figured they could use the break even if it was just to run around on the rooftops of the city. He lead his fiance away from the house a little ways then gave him a quick kiss, powering up to his Knight form when it was done. “Ready to go for a run? Maybe we could add a race in there though if so I promise to take it easy on you.” He said with a smile and a light teasing tone though he was telling the truth about taking it easy on the other if they raced. Page vs. Knight was not equal when it came to speed after all.
Quote:
The wedding plans were...more than he expected - they really were. He’d originally thought of something minimal, very minimal, consisting of just family and one or two other people. It had since then expanded, though not by terribly much, it was still more than he’d planned on. In fact, he’d also just originally, thought of no reception and just a town hall wedding. Weddings back home were a bit of a thing, fast as they were, there was more to them. But seeing as he couldn’t get married back home he’d never planned for one. Since he could here he just wanted to get it done with - quick and simple.
But now there was a reception planned, Terry wouldn’t let him cook for it, and a gift picked out for those who came and invites though he honestly didn’t know most people's addresses. He wasn’t even sure they’d come, they hadn’t spoken to nor seem some of these people in months. It felt like something they were doing more out of manners and obligation rather than being close or being friends with the people.
Hanbok had been ordered, through a family member of his, while modern clothing had also been ordered. They just really had a few other things to plan. They weren’t hard things necessary but it was just how much time they’d already dedicated to this, and how it had grown, that had him needing the trip out that Terry suggested. It was met with enthusiasm from the grey haired male.
Following him outside, after leaving a quick note to the others family, and away from the house so they could power up without being caught. Once powered up Venice pressed a kiss to the others lips. “Would have to really go easy - too fast now.” He said shaking his head at the other. He wished he was ready to power up but it seemed he wasn’t, not yet anyway. There was a big power difference now and he sort of felt like he was the weaker one who needed the protecting, when he was more than capable of keeping himself safe. It felt...unbalanced in a way, something he’d mentioned once since they were working on communication. He’d voiced how much he wished to power up, to at least get closer to the other in power.
“Hopefully silent night...can just enjoy the night then.”

“Well then fun is more in the running rather than the race itself so that wouldn’t be a hardship.” He said, cupping the other man’s face for a moment. Like Venice, he did wish that the other could power up soon, though he tried to be patient since it certainly wasn’t something that could be forced in anyway. On one hand he did like the thought of being able to protect his fiance, but on the other hand he would prefer if Venice would be stronger because that would be the safer option of the two over all. For now though he pushed those thoughts aside as tonight was meant to be for fun rather than wishes. “Here’s hoping indeed. Shall we?” He asked with a dramatic bow to the Page, a smile on his face.

Leaning into the other's hand he stared up at him with dark eyes, which appeared black most of the time. “I agree.” And he was good at running, he wasn’t athletic but he did go to the gym plus the martial arts lessons he continued to attend. He didn’t consider either thing to be athletic; as he thought of that as dealing with sports.
Turning his head into the other’s palm he pressed a kiss there before drawing back. “In this city...likely won’t be silent night.” He doubted they’d get their wish, he’d learned how things went in this city, he knew something would happen tonight. He just hoped it didn’t end in a hospital trip, an upset mother or father and a grounding again. He would never get over how odd the idea of being grounded, at his age, was and he never wanted to face it again.
“Be safe.” He said and one more quick brushing of lips before he took off. Aiming to get vertical as quick as he could before he would take off across the rooftops. Maybe the lack of layers of clothing, thus weight, would help him be a bit faster than he otherwise might be though he knew he wouldn’t be faster than his fiance. “Come on!” He called over his shoulder.

It he had been asked on his opinion, Erebus would have told Venice that the martial arts counted at least, but as it wasn’t brought up it wasn’t discussed. “We’ll have to go running more, have more break time that way.” He suggested while stroking his thumb over the other man’s cheek. When Venice stepped away he let his hand drop and gave a nod. “Probably but one can hope.”
Erebus gave a grin at the kiss and didn’t quite get the chance to return the words before Venice was already sprinting away to get to high ground. He wasted a few seconds watching his fiance move, appreciating the view, before he kicked himself into gear. It was easier for him to jump to the rooftops, being able to jump higher than the older man so he was quick to catch up over all though he slowed down so they could keep at even speed. “So where shall we head? Just a random direction until we feel like turning back?” He asked once they were mostly side by side again.

“Random works. No plans for me on where to go.” Seung hadn’t planned on going out for a patrol so he had no ideas on which direction to head in. Random sounded just fine to him, a patrol was a patrol after all. There were some areas in the city which seemed more popular but anywhere could wind up having some youma or officer grabbing energy or starseeds, it really was a chaotic city in which they lived.
“No time for how long we’re out?” They would just stay out until they felt like going home? That was...a nice idea. Not having some time limit on how long they could be out. Well, at least he had left a note, that would help if they were going to be out a while.

With a hum, and the cracking of her neck, Calebrie had been “thrown out” and into the wolves. Or so she claimed it to be. The agent was a bit of a drama queen when it came to actually doing something. It was one excuse after another; “Really. Today?” “But it’s cold outside.” “I just got comfortable.” She was.. A lazy type of Captain. Some wondered how she managed to rank to the next level, but didn’t dare to ask.
Calebrie sat on a rooftop, swinging on leg and leaning on her large lance. She was on the lookout for any powerforce that came into the area. The Captain intentionally picked spots where she wouldn't find anything. It was unacceptable to come back empty-handed but she always seemed to get herself out of a pinch. Looking up at her weapon, she smiled. “So, what do we talk about today?” She paused, waiting for an verbal answer but all that came was a smile to her lips. “Yeah, that’s what I was thinking to-”
What?
A pulse. She felt it. There was someone nearby, no.. not just someone. There was two. Faintly, but they were there and on the move. “Ah..” Calebrie sighed, her smile disappearing almost as soon as it came. “Really? Here of all places!” She shouted. Sure the Captain was lazy, but when duty called.. She was right there in the action. Standing up, she waited with a soft grip of her weapon. Watching the energy, waiting.

Being only a Page his range of sensing others who were powered was limited - severely so. It was one thing he disliked about his rank, among many things, as he didn’t have as much time as others to prepare for any incoming chaos officers or anything else - like youma.
As he continued in the rooftop hopping he was doing, trying to keep pace with his partner, he finally felt it and froze for a moment. They weren’t the same rank as himself nor were they a knight. A captain then, because they were certainly Negaverse and not on of their senshi. “Erebus?” Questioning the other. Did he want to head closer to the signature? It was up to the other, as there wasn’t much he could do if they got into a fight. He had what amounted to a feather duster and that was it. All he could do was throw it at someone, and put what martial arts he’d learned to use, ultimately it was up to the stronger of them - Erebus.
Dark eyes locking onto the other's back as he moved to catch up to him and find out what the plan was. He had a feeling he already knew though, they’d go after the signature. It was chaos after all; and they were almost always up to some sort of no good.

He had felt the chaos signature faster than his partner, he had just been debating with himself if he wanted to steer them towards the Captain by the time Venice spoke up. After all he had both wanted to have a relaxing night and also wanted to test his new stage so he had been torn. “I think we probably should, just to make sure no one is getting hurt or worse at least.” Erebus said and gave the Page a smile. His movements paused briefly on a jump to the next rooftop then he was pushing off in the new direction, still making sure to go slower so his fiance could keep pace easily enough.
Quote:
The Captain swayed, bored of sensing the power signature. It was quite a distance away, but still too close for comfort and within her watch zone. She waited. Making sure where the signature was advancing before she made her move, and sure enough.. It was coming her way. With a groan, the girl jumped from one rooftop to another, attempting to find the signature that headed towards her.
Calebrie scoffed, stopping at the highest point she could above the others. She crouched and waited, her long weapon holding her balance and it emitted a soft glow. “Shh, honey I know you’re hungry. But you need to wait..” The Captain whispered to her lance. Now wasn’t the time to strike. The chance would surely show itself soon.
“Where are you little piggies~?” Calebrie taunted to no one in her immediate range, but aimed at the two clearing power signatures as they came closer to her location.

Nodding his head, already figuring that would be the answer, he understood the reasoning as it was the same reason he wanted to go. “Ok, lead the way.” Since the other had the better senses he might be able to pinpoint the captain better, at least he hoped. Running around in circles was not an appealing idea.
Changing direction, mimicking his partner, Venice followed behind the other as he was slower - no matter how slow Erebus went for him. “Think they will run?” It did feel like just a Captain and considering he and Erebus was closing in he would think they’d run - right? A knight and a page still out powered a captain. It would be the smart thing to do…
“Very close...heading our way?” He called out to the other. Were they in fact headed towards himself and Erebus? That was...a bit disconcerting. You’d expect that confidence, and bold a move, from a General. Unless this Captain was confident because they had skill in fighting or something? Maybe they already had a dangerous weapon? Neither idea was good in his mind.

“I don’t know. They are a Captain so technically they could teleport away if they wanted.” Erebus said as he kept part of his attention on the chaos signature and part on responding to his partner and keeping his footing. Granted after the long time he had been at this it was pretty easy to keep his balance when roof hopping even if he wasn’t paying much attention. “They moved a bit it felt like but other then that they are stopped again.” Erebus frowned and looked over his shoulder at Venice before looking back ahead. “Could be a trap so stay on guard.” They were getting closer and closer, just about there and Erebus got his weapon ready in case anything happened. For all he knew the Nega could talk but better safe than sorry.
Quote:
“Ahh.. coming so soon..” Calebrie licked her lips as she watched the little powered ones come closer, and closer. Her grip upon the lance strengthened as she readied for her attack. She took in small breaths to keep herself steady.. And ready for the dive. The Nega Captain sat only stories taller than the other two, but just enough to make her grand entrance.
She dove from her ledge.
Spear first, the Captain’s pointed weapon hit the ground first and caused a pulse intended not only to push the two apart but to administer a small shock as well. Sure, it wasn’t smart for the girl to display her good abilities first but in this instance she had the upper hand. She banked on the effect and the dance of it all. She twirled on her lance and as soon as Calebrie was on the ground, she was in the air again. Leaping behind them as she pinpointed the weakest of the two and lunged after them. Venice.

Nodding his head at the warning, it was a legitimate concern, the page kept himself as conscious of what was around them as he moved. He wouldn’t be surprised if this was some sort of trap, he wouldn’t be surprised by much to be honest. “Be safe too.” He called out ahead of himself, to Erebus. While Erebus summoned his weapon he did not do the same, a feather duster was not a weapon.
Gray hair blew across his forehead as he glanced about. “Have to be here…” He could feel them, like they were right next to them. He was looking around, but failed to look up, so it was a surprise when a spear hit the ground and a girl was there - the Captain. Jumping backward, almost falling over in his haste, the page was staring with wide eyes at the new person.
He wasn’t surprised he was the target, nope not at all, and as he turned to face the incoming attack he just managed to lessen the blow so rather than wind up run through with the lance he took it as a slice across his side instead. Ripping and tearing of fabric and blood drawn. He hissed out in pain, a small surprised gasp had left him, as he brought a fist up to strike at the girl.

When this was over, Erebus would have to to suggest they get in the habit of looking up, as he hadn’t either so when the Captain jump attacked he was surprised enough to jump back and away from his partner just like she had wanted which of course left the Page open for attack. Erebus scowled when he saw that Venice had gotten hit then dashed forward to swing his oar at the Captain, aiming to force her attention on him rather than Venice. “Now that wasn’t very nice at all.” He said to her as he attacked.
Quote:
Calebrie was particularly proud of herself on this one, so far at least. The Page was an easy meal for her, but the one that accompanied him on the other hand.. wasn’t going to be the same. As her lance danced passed the Page, her lips curled into a smirk as she spotted the blood flow even if it was just a tiny bit. She didn’t even care about her miss, but quickly her attention changed to the much more powerful presence and changed her position. The tip of her spear clashed against the flat of his oar and launched her back. She managed to twirl flip backwards and landing perfectly on the edge of the building. “Who said I was nice~?” She teased of course.
The Captain gripped her lance again, but this time she let go. The weapon began to glow with a light and poured out was a silhouette of a horned beast, who came straight after the Knight. “Hm. that should keep you busy.” Her attention then focused back on the task at hand. “Oh little piggy, where were we?” She grinned. Her lance didn’t have the same glow as before, but that didn’t seem to faze the girl as she charged towards Venice.

Of course it wasn’t nice! Wanting to laugh at his partner's words Venice went his lips twitch upward into a smile. As he swung his ore he hoped to see it make contact, and deal some damage to the Captain. “Don’t think any of your kind are nice.” He said, his accent heavy and thick, the older of the two stood watching her on the roof's ledge. She was skilled..that was why she was confident. She wasn’t going to be easy for either of them if he was judging right, based on how she moved and the acrobatics.
Watching the youma that was summoned, for as long as the Captain allowed, he nodded once to Erebus. He’d be fine, he had to be, Erebus would be busy with the youma which had been summoned. He’d have to handle the Captain it seemed, not something he was sure was a good idea.
This time when she came at him he ducked down and kicked out a leg in the hopes of taking her legs out from under her.

The Captain had calculated every possible move that the other could have made, ‘cept for the one he did make. The Page successfully swept the other out from her feet, causing her to flip backwards and away from him. Calebrie stumbled for a moment as she tried to position herself just right. The smirk and taunting look gone, now came the irritation and seriousness. It was embarrassing to have her flawless moves to be so easily countered like that.
“You will pay for that!” Calebrie lunged her spear before the Page and rushing towards him. The spear stuck into the roof, cracking it slightly to make itself stable as she jumped and bounced from its end. Her leg extended she aimed for the other, ready and wanting to take him down.

He wasn’t surprised when the attack with his oar was blocked since the Captain seemed to be pretty proficient with her spear but he did give a smirk when she was pushed back from the attack still. The smirk stayed even the Captain’s personal youma was summoned though he felt a bit or worry since it would obviously keep Venice and him from double teaming and the Negaverse Captain was clearly gunning for his fiance. Erebus’ eyes darted over to the Page and saw his nod before his attention was mostly brought back to the horned youma. “Well then I’ll just have to finish you fast.” He said though he doubted the youma actually understood that mostly. His tone probably came through at least.
The Knight then darted forwards the youma and gave a swing of his oar at the creature's legs, hoping to bring it down hard and quick.

What the Captain did was unexpected, though he knew she was skilled, landing on the ground Venice had been kicked backward by the Captain. Raising a hand to rub at his chest he took the time, while getting up, to look over to his fiance and see how he was holding up against the youma. It wasn’t that he thought the youma would be too difficult for Erebus, but it was still a large youma and it did have horns and not look at all pleasant. Not to mention he knew not to doubt small things - ever.
He knew the Captain had summoned it to keep them from teaming up on her, they would have handled her by now had she not summoned it, now though they were divided and she was the one really running this as she had separated them and picked himself as her focus.
Ok, so a feather duster was not a weapon but he still summoned it. And decided to throw it at the Captain, aiming for her head. He really wasn’t sure how well it would throw, since it was almost more feather than handle, but it was worth a try - right?

The beast came fast, and he came hard after Erebus. The soul that resided in the Lance was strong and was fierce. He knew what his master's intentions were and intended to follow them as best as he could. His large claws swiped and swatted at the more powerful being that was before them. His roar loud and ferocious as he aimed to pounce on the other and pin him down.
Calebrie was preoccupied with the small fry, concentrated and ready to anything now. Once her foot connected and did the initial damage she flipped back, landing on her feet and picking her spear from the ground, knocking the weapon away from her head. “You don’t stand a chance against me, boy.” The Captain spat, glancing over towards Erebus and then back to Venice. “Oh, and neither does he.” The girl readied herself once more to attack Venice, but she had other motives in mind. Once her beast was able to successfully put down the stronger power, she would take what she came for.
The Captain swirled her long lance above her head and now held a stance, holding it with both hands as she charged as if she was in a jousting match. She had to knock down Venice long enough to give her the time she needed.

Erebus brought his oar up to block the attacks the youma would bring with it’s claws but his attention got split when he noticed that Venice had tossed his weapon. It was enough that he barely managed to catch when the horned beast started it’s pounce. He had enough time to bring his oar up enough to block the youma from being able to bite or claw him but he was still knocked down to the ground. He wasn’t quite pinned yet since he had gotten his oar between himself and the youma but he was pretty locked in if he didn’t want to stop the youma from getting at him in return.
Quote:
While his own attention was on the Captain, as it should be, he heard her words and took note of her confidence. She might be a captain but she was already proving she was more than capable. Did he take these words seriously? A knight and a page and she would take them both out? He wanted to laugh, wanted to tell her that she couldn’t. But she could...and that scared him. She wasn’t weak...and she certainly had no issue going for the kill, at least not from what he could tell.
This time when he was hit with her weapon he didn’t have the time needed to dodge it, not expecting the speed at which she launched herself at his person. The end of her lance piercing flesh and drawing blood, not to mentioned some odd and loud sound from him. He stepped back, trying to pull himself off the blade of her weapon, and let his knees give out from under him. He couldn’t let her go for Erebus but he also couldn’t stop himself. His hands were fumbling with his vest, wanting to remove the fabric so he could wrap it around his abused mid section.
As if he wasn’t bleeding already he had to have drips and drops and a river of red coating the roof top below him. Terry’s mother was going to kill him when he got home injured - he knew it. He’d be lucky if he wasn’t grounded.

Calebrie tilted her neck from side to side, just to hear it crack in either direction. She chuckled lightly as she yanked her spear back. Now was her chance, if she didn’t take it there wouldn’t be another opportunity. “Stay down.” She warned Venice, side stepping to keep half an eye on the Page while advancing to the now pinned Knight. Her chuckle turned into a wicked curl on her lips as she pat the back of her beast.
“I see you’ve met my lovely.” She spoke quietly, keeping the conversation between the three of them. “Good job.” The Captain praised her Youma while slowly draining him back into the Lance. Without another word, she knelt down and pressed her hand against the boy's chest. Slowly her hand sunk into his flesh, eventually her hand was devoured by the others chest and she gripped onto his starseed. Her tone was that of victory as her Youma disappeared completely. She didn’t need the beast anymore.

He had looked over at Venice briefly while he was trying to push the youma off of his self to check on him and faltered a bit seeing his fiance down then recovered and started to push back harder. Erebus had been nearing to the point where he could leverage the beast off when the Captain walked over and he gave her a glare. “Doesn’t seem very lovely to me, in fact I would say pretty horrid honestly.” He returned as she knelt down, eyes narrowed as he tried to figure out her next move only for them to widen with panic when she went for his chest. Oh no! He remembered all too well how that felt like and he was not interested in a repeat! Erebus was about to let go of his oar to grab her hand before she could reach his chest but the personal youma disappeared then and his arms instead outstretched more since there was no longer resistance against him.
By the time he could let go and recover her hand was already inside of his chest and he made to grab her arm to stop her from pulling it out, though he was leery that she would just crush it instead. “Sorry lady but I’m a taken man already so if you could just go jump off a bridge that would be great!” The feeling of his starseed being gripped was not a good feeling and was in fact very uncomfortable and his legs came up a bit in an unconscious movement for leverage against the ground in response even if it wouldn’t do anything to help his situation if he tried to push farther into the ground.

He might have been told to stay but that didn’t mean he would listen, she was a Negaverse agent so why should he? He also didn’t trust her and couldn’t leave her alone with Erebus, not when there was also that youma with Erebus. He had his side wrapped, tightly, and was slowly pulling his feet under himself but that didn’t do any good - he was too slow in tending to himself.
When he turned towards the two he was met with the sight out of a nightmare, one he’d lived already once before. It wasn’t a sight he’d thought he’d ever see again to be honest. It wasn’t that he’d seen a hand inside his fiance’s chest before but the starseed grab he had seen. He’d seen the other in this kind of pain before.
He knew better than to leap and tackle the Captain, though would risk the starseed being brought up and out of Erebus’ chest, and he wasn’t about to rick that. So he opted for shouting. “Let that go - it isn’t yours!” Yup, not that useful but maybe? It was worth a try….anything was right now when he was staring at this. He needed it to stop - needed to save the other...but he couldn’t attack...it could easily be pulled from Erebus’ chest and how long would he survive without it?

“Calling my honey a horrid beast? You’re so awful.” Calebrie mocked in a whiny voice, her bottom lip pursing into a pout as she gripped the starseed she intended to steal tighter in her hand. It was almost as if she tried to use the pulse to loosen his grip on her hand that kept her inside his chest. As she felt his body move and curl underneath her, she lifted up her knee and used her body weight to pin him down further to keep from squirming.
She ignored his ravings about being a taken man. Those specifics didn’t really matter, this was it. Once she had the starseed, she could get away and leave this place. One starseed was enough, it would be to ambitious for her skill level to try for the Page’s as well. Now wasn’t the time to get ahead of herself as she still found force in retrieving the seed from his chest. “Don’t resist, just let me have it!”
WIth her demand, the Captain sent a shock through the Knight. A shock just enough to potentially loosen the grip he held over her arm. With success, she ripped the starseed from his chest and full intact. “Ah, beautiful~” She hummed. With the dull end of her lance, she rolled the knight over and turned to Venice. “Looks like it’s a win for me, boy.”

“Just telling the truth.” Erebus said, doing his best to keep his voice panic free though he couldn’t help but waver a bit when her grip tightened. He had to bite back a groan from the pain that move caused and as focused on his starseed as he was he missed her movement until he was pinned down farther. “Hell no I’ll keep resist-” His sentence cut out so he could let out a yell at the shock from the weapon and the Knight did indeed let go of his opponent, only realizing he did so then the pain went white hot as his seed was stolen. The world went black after what felt like an eternity of pain.

At least she didn’t turn and mock him of what she was doing, maybe she hadn’t realized what Erebus was saying when he mentioned being a taken man. Maybe she hadn’t figured they were together? That this could have been used against him, and still could?
The yell of pain brought the page into action. As she had pulled the starseed free from the others chest, he’d seen it once before, he rushed her. His own injures ignored, as was the screaming pain in his side, he made to leap at the Captain. His hands going right for her throat as he sought to remove her - the problem. He needed her gone so he could get the starseed back into his partner - he needed to save him...he couldn’t lose him. He’d already almost lost him twice before, once to his own stupidity and once almost to a youma. This would end like those two other times, in a near death - he would make sure of it.
“Give that back!” It wasn’t hers!

It didn’t matter what the other did as he laid on the ground. She had what she came for, and her mission was accomplished. What remained was the other who was dinged up and wounded. Her eyes couldn’t be taken away from the Starseed right now, it glowed beautifully. She had never held one before, and it was a new experience. But quickly her attention was snapped back towards the other who was quickly rushing her.
Calebrie held her hand up high, the starseed in her palm as she thrust her lance between the two of them. She couldn’t allow him to attack her, not now. “Heh, you really think I would fall for that boy?” With another shock through her lance, she aimed to shove back Venice. Putting distance between the two of them. “It belongs to me now, and I will be taking my leave.” The Captain jumped back, her weapon facing down and in a rest position.

Jumping back to avoid any shock, or any contact with the lance, Venice needed to get at the Captain but how? The weapon was pointed down but could be brought up quickly no doubt, which didn’t bode well for him. Feeling the pressure of how long this was taking, it was taking too long, the page moved without thought at this point.
Moving towards the Captain he made a last second change in direction as he aimed to get behind the Captain and kicked out at the back of a knee in the hopes of bringing them down to the ground. He needed to get them down and disarm them. He needed that starseed and to do that he needed them down - the faster the better.

Calebrie had been watching the other’s moves, but didn’t seem to calculate for the allure that the starseed was giving off. Especially since it was her first time encountering one up close. Even in just a split second, she took her eyes away from Venice he gained the upper hand and knocked her down to the floor. Her lance flung a ways away from her and the starseed with it.
Her eyes grew wide as her precious prize slid further and further away from her, her weapon along with it. “No!” She shouted, reaching out and trying to move up quickly to go and retrieve the items.

The lance was gone - so was the starseed. That should have been priority but the Captain was. She could get up, teleport, and get the starseed back and smash it if she wished to. No, she had to be handled. He didn’t even think as he was moving to keep her on the ground, using his weight and height to try and keep her on the ground as he moved to himself on top of her. His hands reaching for her neck as he sought to keep a hold on her.
“No, not leaving, not getting it!” No, he wouldn’t let her - couldn’t let her! He wasn’t going to lose Erebus. Not now, not any time soon!

As she felt the shift in weight, and her body being pressed to the ground as she tried to squirm and crawl closer to the seed and lance. “N-No! Let me go!” Calebrie struggled and tried harder than she thought she could, she even tried to tap into her shock power but nothing came. She was drained. What a time to be drained.
“Get off me you stupid kid!” She cursed, squirming to try and get out from under him but it was no use. She couldn’t get free, nor could she move properly. The Captain was stuck, powerless. Even as his hands held her neck, she still struggled against him.

He didn’t let go, didn’t get up, instead he tightened his hold on her neck as he watched the starseed dull. No...no...it couldn’t - no! His body acted without his thought, without his realization, as it did what it knew how to do. He knew how to kill someone, you saw it on movies and he had seen someone even try it against a General Queen. His hands now moved on their own as they moved to snap the neck of the Captain under him. They made to end the Captain’s life before he was getting up and making his way towards the dull starseed on the ground.
He didn’t look back, wasn’t thinking, he was in a panic as he rushed to the body on the ground of his fellow knight. Kneeling down he shoved the precious starseed back into the other’s body. Please...he needed to be on time - needed him alive.
As his fingers, shaking as they were, went to check for a pulse an item dropped out of his pocket. It was a pearl like item, the one he’d found at his wonder, and it rolled across Erebus’ chest as he continued to search for a pulse. “N-no…”

Calebrie reached out. She needed her lance. She needed her Youma, but again the starseed caught her attention. It’s light, it’s beauty. It was captivating as she slowly began to stop struggling against the boy. It was enough of an opportunity for him to take her out. And he did. Her neck snapped easily and her face hit the pavement she had been struggling against. Her eyes wide as her lance turned to dust, her body quickly following afterwards.
Quote:
The starseed did sink into the Knight’s body but nothing happened. He had no pulse. He had no breath. Instead he just lay there lax in death.
Quote:
H-he couldn’t let this happen. He couldn’t lose the other. Breath hitching and tears forming, and falling down his cheeks, Venice reached out almost blindly. His fingers curling around the peal like orb before he got up. He didn’t know why but something else was guiding him at the moment as he threw the damn pearl at the ground right next to Erebus’ still form.
It was as the pearl hit the ground, and he took a step back, that he summoned his weapon from where it remained on the ground. He’d thrown it at the Captain and it had remained where it had landed - till now. Only what appeared in his hand was different..more feathers and long - more size. And as it arrived in his hand he felt the changes in himself and the boost in power.
Really?! Was this what it took to power up? He wanted to laugh but found himself crying more.

The smoke surrounded Erebus’ body, obscuring it briefly, and when it cleared the Knight jerked awake with a gasp as lungs protested against not being used for a few minutes time. He turned to his side as he coughed a bit and tried to get over the shock of being alive and whole again. After a moment or two he rolled onto his back and and spotted Venice standing by him, just now hearing his crying over the sound of his own heartbeat ringing in his ears. “Ven-ice? Are you okay?” He asked, having to cough mid way the other’s name. The Knight went to sit up only to get dizzy and had to lean against his elbows instead.
Quote:
Hearing the voice, which he didn’t think he’d hear again, call his name and cough he lifted his head. Tear tracks down his cheek and eyes already wet and red and puffy, well more puffy than normal, the squire launched himself at the other and held on tightly. “Erebus!” The pain from before, the bleeding, had been ignored till now and was till even being ignored though he did hurt and he did feel it. It wasn’t as important as this - as feeling the other in his arms and knowing he was alive.
Quote:
Erebus gave a soft grunt when the other collided with him but ignored any pain that might have flared up from the glomp to wrap his arms around Venice. “Hey, you okay? You never answered.” He asked again as he held the other tight. It wasn’t that he was ignoring what just happened, well okay he was doing his best to not think about it as he just knew he was going to have more nightmares about losing his starseed or worse, seeing his fiance lose his.
Quote:
“Y-you died…” He sniffed and choked on the words as he held tightly to the other. His weapon, changed now but still a feather duster, held in one hand as he held onto the other. Wincing, jumping a bit even, as he moved wrong and upset his bleeding, wounded, side. Pressing his face into the others shoulder to try and hide the pain that was starting to come back with a vengeance.
Not one who had ever had magic before, much less ever used it, Venice was not aware how it really worked but it seemed he sorta knew without knowing - if that made sense. Cause he was certainly channeling his magic right around himself and Erebus and his magic it seemed didn’t discriminate order vs. chaos.

Died? He knew his starseed had been stolen again, had felt the pain as it was taken from his chest, but actually died? He shivered and pushed that thought away for now, or ever really if he could help it. It easier easier to ignore when he felt Venice wincing and he frowned in worry, moving his hands to check the other for any wounds besides the one hit that he saw happen. Before he got very far though he stiffened up as Venice’s new magic hit him.
Eyes went wide as the magic took over just what he saw and somewhere in the back of his mind he had the brief thought that if he had been an anime character he would probably have passed out from a nosebleed from seeing everything going on.

Without a thought he’d put his own magic to use but it seemed that as he got himself under control, as his sniffing and sobbing died away, he realized what he was doing. While he didn’t know what his magic did he knew it did something, though the idea it might be affecting Erebus didn’t cross his mind. He did however figure that out shortly after ending his magic.
“Erebus….?”
“Erebus….?”
Quote:
It took him a moment to realize that the magic had faded and when he did, he turned a heated look to Venice. “I think it’s time to go home.” He said then got up, picked up Venice while ignoring any pain or left over feeling of oddness, and proceeded to head home. There were a few items they needed there after all, including a first aid kit.
